September is here and the Slenderistas (and TV) have their game face on.

Golden days will be in abundance as we aim to shift 7 Lindas in September

Gosh, well done quim! Golden Woman

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 18/09/2017 17:12

Well done Quim, Happy and This! You've all done so well!

Aiming for 1200 calories today. I cracked yesterday and ended up eating loads of chocolate, I'm really busy with work at the moment and bringing lots of work home with me in the evenings and at the weekend, and I'm not coping very well with the stress! Hoping to be good and undo some of the damage this week, but tomorrow will probably be my only fast day. Unless I did two back to back but I don't know if that would be very sensible..

NikiBabe · 18/09/2017 17:37

Well done Quim. 🍾🌼

Softpebbles · 19/09/2017 07:25

Where is everyone!

No news here just mehhhh! Xx

HairsprayBabe · 19/09/2017 07:50

Amazing work Quim Star Star Star

10.5 was only O.K. yesterday, but it was our actual anniversary and so I had a few (literally 2) naice choccys after dinner.

Fast day today, broth, herbal tea and coffee till tea time when we are having a chef salad.

leesmum · 19/09/2017 08:15

Fast day for me too but it's hard when it's cold and foggy outside and all you want to do is eat!!
Over halfway through September ladies, how are you all doing? I do feel very determined this month and I know you're all feeling the same.Smile

KikisDeliveryService · 19/09/2017 08:22

Soup is the answer leesmum!

I woke up full of cold. Hopefully it's one of those 'too snotty to eat' ones rather than 'comfort aching body with all of the food'.

I mean I could just exercise some self control I suppose..

TVHubbyClaire · 19/09/2017 08:31

Got a walk in this morning, actually quite sunny and bright albeit cold on Yarmouth sea front
Fab NSV start to the day......I have moved another notch in on my belt. Might not be all day as there is a danger of circulation being cut off but we are there for the present time....Smile

QuimReaper · 19/09/2017 09:30

Thank you all so much! Grin

Amazing NSV TV, what a wonderful feeling - I know what you mean about the circulation thing, I've often had an NSV in the morning and regretted it by lunchtime! Now you're on the notch you won't go off it again though, even if you need to loosen a bit after a big meal for another few days.

Spurious the thing about two fast days on the trot is that you might find your mood and concentration / energy levels plummet on day 2 which won't be great if you're overloaded at work!

coffeeandrainbows · 19/09/2017 10:12

Everyone is doing so great! Amazing results quim, happy and this and great NSV tv SLENDER IS TASK!

I just finished day two of 21 day no sugar and I feel so horrible. Headache, achy, tired and grumpy. It's like a bad flu basically. That feeling is actually motivating me to keep off the sugar as it can't be good that my body wants it this bad. I was clearly having way too much, too regularly. I'm desperately hoping that it doesn't last too much longer and I start to feel a lot better in the next few days. Has anyone done the no sugar and got some positive encouragement for me? I'm not going to weigh in until the first week is over and just concentrate on through the week.

QuimReaper · 19/09/2017 10:32

Goodness coffee, so sorry to hear you're feeling so rotten so far into the sugar cut - you've done brilliantly to keep it up whilst you're feeling so rotten.

Have you cut out simple carbs as well, i.e. bread, pasta? If not it might be worth a try, or switching to wholemeal: people often find on low-carb that the cravings diminish significantly once they're in ketosis, so that might be a way to break the cycle.

Had another NSV this morning - buttoned up an old blouse which I love, it was never too small for me per se (due mostly to a clever design!) but at one point the buttons were straining alarmingly, and this morning I had oodles of space to spare Smile

coffeeandrainbows · 19/09/2017 11:13

I've cut out the white carbs as well quim. I didn't eat much pasta before but had lots of bread and biscuits so I'm sure that my body is also missing those. I can't go totally low carb as am still breastfeeding but I'm hoping that the cravings will still get better after the first week or so.

Great NSV! I love having old clothes just fit better - like getting a whole new wardrobe without spending any money Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 19/09/2017 13:53

Hello all. Having read back. Will do so in a mo.

Are any of you watched the Jamie Oliver 5 ingredients programme. We've just tried to make the quick flatbreads he made the first week. The recipe didn't work at all. Very disappointing. Quite high calorie too.

In better news I seem to have got away with my weekend of fun and indulgence with a half Linda gain only. I'll take that.

thismeansnothing · 19/09/2017 14:58

Oh no bit other posters have raved about the flatbreads on other threads (not my kinda thing tbh) but it annoys me when I try a recipe and it doesn't quite work out.

Great stuff on just a half Linda gain. Specially when you still got to enjoy yourself too

pumpkin321 · 19/09/2017 15:10

Hello ladies, I've been awol from Mumsnet following a busy few days......well done hairspray, quim and this on your fabulous losses! Reading through the posts is giving me a metaphorical kick up the backside to knuckle down to my calorie counting. I'm off to Spain for a child free weekend with friends soon so that's my incentive to shift another 1kg hopefully before I go. Hope you're all having goldenish days! Smile

BitOutOfPractice · 19/09/2017 16:21

Thismeans the "dough" was so we it wasn't even a dough. Had to add loads more flour and then it was hardly cooked. Looked amazing though

BOOP I made this filo feta pie thing of his a few years ago - like yours it looked amazing but it's the only thing I've ever made which DH couldn't physically eat. (I didn't even try it on that basis, the man's like a labrador so I took his word for it!)

(Except when I made this cute little quiche cup things I'd seen on Pinterest and somehow added so much salt to them they tasted like the sea Blush )

Anyway, I am always a bit wary of him since then...

ponygirlcurtis · 19/09/2017 16:51

I have been cutting back on the sugar too, managed to resist staffroom goodies not once but twice yesterday. Halo

Great NSV TV!

ponygirlcurtis · 19/09/2017 16:52

What's everyone having for tea? I am doing a moussaka recipe from the Joe Wicks book which is lovely (although I use lamb mince rather than turkey mince).

HappyGowerGirl · 19/09/2017 19:39

I'm merrily jumping off the wagon tonight! Got friends over and I made tacos with mince, sour cream, quacamole, bean salad, rice... tortilla chips and BEER!!! Not smart but it will be lush.

ponygirlcurtis · 19/09/2017 19:52

I love the word 'lush', Happy. 😊 I have Welsh friends and adopted lush and cwtch into my vocabulary.

pumpkin321 · 19/09/2017 19:52

I made a sausage lentil sizzle......basically a vegetarian sausage casserole. It was lovely, and very quick and easy to make.

QuimReaper · 19/09/2017 21:23

I had a huge bowl of garlicky spinach and mushrooms, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon sprinkled with spring onions and Parmesan... and could only eat half. I was so hungry I went mad. I scrambled four eggs Blush

poorpaws · 19/09/2017 22:30

I was having a golden day until this evening when I had to make some chocolate muffins for a friends birthday. I had to keep trying them to make sure they were alright and suddenly four had disappeared ☹️It's Weight Watchers tomorrow night and I don't think I should go really.

Some good NSVs happening. I don't think I will be tightening my belt for some time TV but wee done you.

poorpaws · 19/09/2017 22:30

Well done I mean 😂
