With 15 weeks untill the beginning of December I'm aiming to lose 1 pound a week. First weigh in tomorrow - anyone want to join me?

I sat in McDonald's today, we don't go often.. in fact we've not been in nearly a year and I sat and had a grilled chicken and bacon salad, some melon chunks, some baby carrots and a bottle of water while DS1 had a Big Mac and the 3 others had a kids meal, I think I deserve a sainthood or something! It was a stop in after getting 4 haircuts, 3 lots of school shoes/bags/stationary etc...

Sparrowlegs248 · 23/08/2017 15:50

Bloody hell well done Tits!!

Both babies fell asleep on the way to shopping. Prime drive through time...... It was lunchtime and they were cooked out. I went to sainsbury for petrol and got a sandwich and banana!!

theancientmarinader · 23/08/2017 16:43

Oo I had a look at chia pudding and it looks really easy to make! I might try that at the weekend (dh is away on Friday for a week, and it's easier to try new things without an audience lol). I had to buy a new stick blender yesterday (dd2 has made so many smoothies this summer our ten year old one has fallen apart) so I can play with my shiny new toy too.

I have also ended up with a spiraliser as a gift. I'm not entirely sure what to do with it, other than turn vegetables into noodles... Which seems like it might be entertaining a few times but would quickly get old? Anyone use one? What foooooor? (Actually I might start a thread elsewhere for that. It just seems like a healthy salady thing...)

Scales not shifting yet. I suspect my advancing yahs might make this harder. Grin going to up my water intake today and try to cut down portion sizes.

NaughtyElephants · 23/08/2017 17:30

Excellent willpower Tits and Notta

I just hopped on here to stop myself slipping off the wagon - ate 3 pieces of tortellini leftover from kids tea but have now popped the rest in a Tupperware and stepped away. Phew, almost an accidental eating of about 500 calories Shock

Sparrowlegs248 · 23/08/2017 19:50

I'm sure the advancing yahs make it harder ancient certainly has for me. Much less active than I used to be too, even with two small ones and two ponies!

The jeans that I've work since having Ds2 6 months ago are giving up. There are two threadbare patches where the chub rub occurs. Not quite threadbare but thinning. I need to be able to fit into my skinnies before these pack up all together! (size 14 skinnies but still.....)

FuckingHateRats · 23/08/2017 21:27

May I join in? 1lb a week is exactly what I'm looking to lose. I weighed last monday and was 12st 8 1/4lb, and when I weighed this Monday I was 12st 6 1/2lb, so have lost 1 3/4 lb so far. I'm 5ft9, and this Wright pushes me into the overweight category :(

Three years ago I was 10st on the money. I have no idea how I've managed to put on over two stone (well, I do. Cakes and chocolate and crisps!).

I'm walking for at least 12000 steps a day, drinking lots of water and trying to make good good choices. I start back at uni next month and hoping that keeping busy will help me to shed some weight too.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 24/08/2017 07:44

I have woken up in a foul mood today from s night of DH and DD snoring so loudly, the puppy whining and the chickens having a row everytime a cat slinks past.

I can't let it slip into, stressed = food! Plus I'm on the breakfast shift at work today and one of my clients only eats sweet foods, pastries and sugary cereal and biscuits etc and she's always keen to share, she has advanced dementia so I always accept her offerings and then pop them back in the cupboard a few mins later. Blush

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/08/2017 07:51

I'm still in bed!!!!!! This is a pretty amazing occurrence. Ds1 I think is awake, but quiet. Ds2 is snoozing on the boob. Getting up at a normal hour makes things easier. Ds1 went through a stage of getting up at 4.30 am resulting in me eating more in a day.

Welcome rats, I'll add you on.

amroc18 · 24/08/2017 09:20

tits you did so well with McDonald's yesterday shame to let it slip because stressed, hope your day gets better.

I've had an ok few days. Averaging at ok as was doing really well until had dinner at the Inlaws last night which was a ready meal lasagne, garlic bread and cheesecake so blew my calories for the day even with fairly small portions. Sigh. Can do better today though!

dewberries · 24/08/2017 11:44

I was so so close to slipping up about 8 o'clock last night. I was hanging on the fridge door looking in planning to eat the entire contents.

Then, as if by magic, my 20 year old son turns up unplanned with a double duvet cover full of dirty washing for me. Yes he does have his own washing machine and dryer!

It stopped me eating as I was distracted. I woke up this morning so pleased with my self as it could quite easily have been another story.

Feeling positive Grin

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/08/2017 11:56

Struggling today, lay in meant no time for proper breakfast, had a yogurt. Just got home have stopped Ds1 at mil. Been and sorted out some fencing at the field with Ds2 in the sling. I'm starving. Just made cuppa and had a small slice of homemade banana loaf, could easily scoff the rest of it. Feeding the baby then going to make a giant egg, mushroom and ham.concoction.

Well done for resisting temptation dew

Aimga the way I look at it is that you'd have had that meal pre 'diet' plus a load of other 'bad' stuff on other days. So I'd that's your one bad thing for the week it's still a great improvement. My issue is getting straight back to it after a slip.up and not just carrying on eating badly.

Come on baby!! I'm hungry too!!

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/08/2017 12:33

In the interests of not cheating myself, here's what I've eaten so far
Muller light.
2 (!!) x small slice banana loaf.
Omlette made with three eggs, ham, cheese. Also ate a bit of cheese separately.
One slice of toast with butter. The one slice was really the equivalent of two as it was a very fat crust.

The mushrooms had gone slimy so didn't have them.

So just need to not go completely berserk and eat the whole house now!

KnitFastDieWarm · 24/08/2017 12:47

Broccoli, halloumi and eggs for lunch today with a dollop of proper mayo. I bloody love low carb Grin

NaughtyElephants · 24/08/2017 13:17

I just ate the whole house Blush feel proper embarrassed admittting that.

I have 356 cals left for the rest of the day. If I do a run this eve that can take me to 700 which would mean I can still pull this back and end up within cals. Was supposed to be a rest day from running but I think going over on cals would make me feel worse so will do the run.

stitchglitched · 24/08/2017 13:34

Hi can I join please? I was 13st 7 at the start of the year, the heaviest I'd ever been and as I'm only 5ft 1 my bmi was very high. I've managed to lose quite a bit with low carbing, also did the blood sugar diet for a little while. Current weight is now 11st 3 but I seem to have stagnated, been stuck in the 11s for ages and have even gained 2lb since last week.

I need motivation and a kick up the bum! Would love to get to 9st8 by xmas as that would put me in the healthy bmi range.

I've been weighing myself daily but that is not helping as I'm getting disheartened if I don't see any change and then end up reaching for the junk. So I've told DP to put the scales out of my reach and I'll be weighing in every monday.

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/08/2017 13:39

Argh ffs. I've just eaten two club biscuits. Stopping now. The baby is supposed to be napping, I've parked him in from of the pantry. I'm home alone tonight so having salad for tea. If the baby does t go the fuck to sleep soon I'm going to take him for a walk.

FuckingHateRats · 24/08/2017 13:41

NottaLotta can you grab a banana as a quick breakfast on the go? When I'm rushed a pint of water and a banana is my go-to breakfast.

In fact that's what I had this morning as I walked the youngest to school. Met my friend for coffee - she had a slice of cake in Cafe Nero but I had one of those little soft chocolates with my coffee, 55cals but could have been so much worse. Had a tuna salad wrap for lunch, and we're having homemade meatballs and spaghetti for tea. Purposely not bought any nice sweet things in the house so I cannot actually have anything in the evening even if inevitably whenI want something. Walking back to get the Little so should hit 12000 steps.

stitch I weigh in Mondays too, so we can celebrate together!

I think that's everyone added. rats I made up a goal weight for you of 11St, not sure what you are aiming for but added it in. If it's different let me know!

Yes a banana would have been sensible, I was unprepared this morning, had a poorly pony and ended up out of the house much longer than I thought. I might go out and buy some new scales this afternoon, mine keep having bits break off them.

In fact the baby still isn't asleep so might have a quick change and go.

dewberries · 24/08/2017 13:48

Notta you stopped at two biscuits well done. It's hard isn't it. Once I start scoffing crap I find it really difficult to stop myself and before I know it a whole packet of biscuits are gone. Sweet food is so addictive to me.

I'm doing ok today, I have been too busy to worry about food and I'm taking my daughter food shopping in a bit because she's skint bless her. She is a super healthy eater so no danger of me buying cake.

Hugs to all.

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/08/2017 13:54

Thanks dewberries, I'm the same. I don't buy them but Mt husband had them for his packed lunch. I wish he'd just feck off and move out but that's another thread! (not for buying club biscuits.......Grin)

I've just got the baby today, toddler gone to GPS so more time on my hands.

dewberries · 24/08/2017 14:06

Just wanted to say that this thread is like a little comfort blanket Grin

FuckingHateRats · 24/08/2017 15:28

11st would be amazing by Christmas , if I get anywhere close I'll be delighted. Thanks NottaLotta

Picked up Small. Let her spend 20p on a sweet on the way home, did not buy one of those sticky, chewy plastic sweeties for me even though they're my fave. Came back and drank 2pints of water.

Sparrowlegs248 · 24/08/2017 15:52

I've put my end goal in rats despite it being a Christmas thread. I think breaking it down into smaller goals is good in some cases, but not mine! Going to get some water... .

AIMGA · 24/08/2017 16:21

Everyone is doing so well Smile I have had a bar of lindt chocolate in the cupboard (thanks DH Hmm) and haven't touched it!! Although had a massive slab of bread with about half a packet of butter AND crisps for lunch Blush and half a muffin..gah.

I'm stressed about life at the moment, feel rudderless and I definitely eat when my anxiety peaks. Also having 3 young DC (at home all.the.time.) ..and no support means I hide my head in the fridge when it's all kicking off. (Yes, I am the master of excuses)
