With 15 weeks untill the beginning of December I'm aiming to lose 1 pound a week. First weigh in tomorrow - anyone want to join me?

OP posts:
theancientmarinader · 30/08/2017 16:08

12 stone 4 lbs/ 10 stone 13 lbs/ 1 / 1

Will paste mine in when I get on the laptop - I have an extremely old iPad that reloads the page if I try anything other than typing (and sometimes it's not keen on that either.

Good day yesterday - have been feeling rough around the edges for several weeks (I thought linked to my BP which I finally got checked last week and was super high) but then yesterday evening I suddenly started to feel better. Am now wondering if it's all hormone linked (joy).
Anyhoo - as a result of the BP have been very closely watching the diet intake, so everything on track weight wise. Dd2 asked yesterday if she could make a new batch of chia pudding, so she did (she appears to have dumped about half a tub of cinnamon into it, so it's like eating cinnamon buns - the vanilla pudding is the same colour as the chocolate...)
I'm following the trend and have salmon out of the freezer for lunch (bought some kale yesterday to have with it). Back to school tomorrow for ds1 and dd2 so they are making pizza tonight. I'll have to think of something so I don't get taken in by the cheesy carby goodness Grin

Tits, your life sounds like mine used to be - hang in there! I only have three but the youngest has cerebral palsy. Countless hours hanging around hospitals/ clinics trying to keep kids under control and listen to health professionals. Hope life is calmer today! It is MUCH easier now they are all older. Except now dd1 is off to uni -- nooooooooooooo!

jd88123 · 30/08/2017 17:51

6 pounds off in 4 days wowzers wish it would be like this every week but I know itl slow down. Also got my time of month so hopefully drop a couple pounds when that goes. Majorly under my calorie intake though some days due to being nightshift. Finish tomoz morning so we will see how i get on not eating as much during day! Well done everyone. We can do itSmile

Sierra259 · 30/08/2017 18:32

Wow jd, well done.

Pretty good day here. Survived the bake off day at work with only a tiny piece of flapjack. Normally I'd have gone back for a another piece mid afternoon but since I've tried to cut back on sugar I'm not really getting the afternoon tired slump. Definitely getting on the exercise bike tonight too. Mushroom, ham and pepper omelette for tea with a teensy bit of cheese.

Remembered why I loved MFP too, it's great for weeding out things you thought were healthier than they are!

wantawaistagain · 30/08/2017 18:51

I stuck with the no eating after 6 Mon and Tues without too much trouble. Those 2 extra pounds after the weekend were pretty motivating. Hopefully I'll still be going at the end of the week. I haven't managed to get exercising properly yet though.

d270r0 · 30/08/2017 20:04

Well I have had an ok day today (as in don't think I'll have gained from today- but prob not lost either).
I had no breakfast, had a jacket with chilli and salad for lunch, a few handfuls of popcorn and light hot choc for snack, but then steak, chips and st agur with veg for dinner followed by a choc ice. Think I probably ruined it a bit there. It was nice though.

AIMGA · 30/08/2017 20:41

Blush my dinner tonight was seriously excessive.

Feel a bit sick and bloated.

How can losing weight be so hard?! I just need to stop eating so much Hmm

OP posts:
pfrench · 30/08/2017 23:12

I've got my shit together.

Going to stop 800 cals a day since I want to exercise and can't on those cals without giving in.

Boyfriend joining me to do 5:2, and the other days I'm going to do the no S thing. Think that will work better - giving me fuel for running etc. Two days of no S has felt fine, first fast day tomorrow.

36plusandtrying · 31/08/2017 04:44

I have just discovered the best easy work lunch and only 140 calories !!!
One bag of steam fresh veg (the birds eye individual serving) and a small tin of sweet chilli salmon YUM ! And totally filling took no effort to grab this morning either. It was more than filling enough to have after my 5k run. I feel like it could be too good to be true !!

That sounds great 36!!

So, official weigh in day, 1.5lb off. In two bloody weeks!! Really not encouraging.

HLBug · 31/08/2017 08:07

Any loss is still encouraging Notta, keep going and don't let the scales win! I've weighed in this morning too and have a crazy 4 pound loss, which I'm taking with a pinch of salt as I can't quite believe it Confused

HLBug · 31/08/2017 08:08

pfrench come join us on the 5:2 threads if you're looking for tips and motivation

Sparrowlegs248 · 31/08/2017 08:28

Thanks Hlbug, I'm used to quite big losses the first couple of weeks, up to 7lbs in the first week! I do think my initial weigh in weight was off though so consoling myself with that.

Oh and we'll done!!!

d270r0 · 31/08/2017 08:52

Yes I am a pound down this morning!

I was 300 below calories yesterday and was so tired I just went to bed, I figured between the 2 days it would just balance it out anyway.

This last days have been stressful so my eating has been grazing when people have offered me stuff because it's just not entered my mind to eat plus the hospital cafe costs a fortune so I only eat what I can take with me.
I get some interesting looks as it is waking down the ward with a bag of shopping and emerging a few mins later with 4 meals for the kids that I've 'cooked' in the ancient microwave. They've got mac and cheese and veg with some bread and butter today, I'll aim to take a cuppa soup or a mugshot. 😂

36plusandtrying · 31/08/2017 10:53

Can someone keep me right as to update the weight ?

Sparrowlegs248 · 31/08/2017 12:27

Does yours need updating 36? Have I missed a weigh in? You can copy and paste the last update then alter yours if you want, or let me know what your loss is and I'll do it.

36plusandtrying · 31/08/2017 12:51

Notta 36plus 67/60/-/1 is that right I'm down 1kg ?!?

Sparrowlegs248 · 31/08/2017 13:27

Well done 36!! The last two are this week's loss and total loss.

I got in around 12 absolutely starving. Had been to drop Ds1 off, then to deal with ponies, picked a toy up for Ds2 from a friend. Took an apple and banana with me but was still really hungry - this us a bit of a danger point for me. Luckily had some cooked chicken in the fridge so ate that while waiting for a mugshot to brew. Feel good that it was relatively good and I'm full now.

36plusandtrying · 31/08/2017 13:47

Nott get the steam fresh veg ! Amazing and a yum snack !

Sparrowlegs248 · 31/08/2017 14:04

I'm going to put it on my list, would have been much better with the chicken!

jd88123 · 31/08/2017 16:34

Mines needs updating too please...lost 6 pounds. Thanks

Sparrowlegs248 · 31/08/2017 17:20

In a week jd?! Bloody hell well done!!
