With 15 weeks untill the beginning of December I'm aiming to lose 1 pound a week. First weigh in tomorrow - anyone want to join me?

wantawaistagain · 28/08/2017 10:13

I'm changing my weigh in day to Monday.
SW: 144lbs
GW:133lbs
Today:146lbs
So that's a 2lb GAIN.
Not an ideal start but I'm back in routine today so off to make soup for lunch and I'm not going to eat after 6pm for the rest of the week. I was out for dinner and drinks at the weekend so I'm not that surprised by the weight gain but I really need to buckle down now.
I have a really nice skirt and pants that are too tight in the waist at the moment so I'm going to hang them where I can see them for inspiration.

smellylittleorange · 28/08/2017 10:37

SW: 224 lbs
GW: 192 lbs
CW: 220 lbs

Another 2lb off ! This week I have concentrated on drinking so much more water , cutting down on bread and butter too I just remembered I have a silk velvet dress that I'm hoping to get into for Christmas...ill be over the moon if I can!

smellylittleorange · 28/08/2017 10:38

36plusandtrying · 28/08/2017 11:12

Am I too late to join... I've just weighed myself, 67kg ! I nearly fell over, I was 64kg last week ShockI'm 5ft6, run about 20k per week and do one boot camp session aiming to be under 60kg - would love advice. Have recently cut out wheat, cut down drinking don't eat sweets/crisps often - think i have reasonable portion control etc !

Hello to the newcomers and well done to the 'losers'!!

Good day so far, 20mins on the cross trainer and no food before 12. I then had too much lunch, absolutely stuffed now, all healthy & low carb though.

Desperate to hit my target of 1lb loss a week. About to go swimming with the DC and am dreading putting my swimming costume on Sad

Sierra259 · 28/08/2017 16:31

Been fairly good today.
Breakfast - Fat free yoghurt, strawberries, grapes and porridge oats
Lunch - Wholemeal ham roll, 1 handful pop chips and an apple
Cheated and had an ice cream at the park but I was melting!
Dinner - will have quorn spag bol with courgetti spaghetti
Drinks - water only
Have been dashing round the park after. the kids for 4 hours and plan to do 30 minutes on the exercise bike watching the GoT finale tonight Smile

DH and I have agreed to each weigh in on Tuesdays - I'm also really bad for popping on them every other day Blush

Sierra259 · 28/08/2017 16:32

Have also re-downloaded the MFP app as I find that very good for keeping me on the straight and narrow!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 28/08/2017 16:37

Ok day today,

Scrambled egg in a mushroom for breakfast,

Crisp bread wth cream cheese and beetroot for lunch

Honey mustard rainbow Chicken Skewers with salad for dinner (early as I'm back in work this eve)

Pleased as punch walking to work as I can fit back into my fave casual/smart dress!

AIMGA · 28/08/2017 16:44

Well done tits and Sierra

D27 I had a rubbish Fri, Sat & Sun - determined to get it back on track before weigh in on Wednesday for me Grin

Although I'm thinking I might weigh in on Mondays in future as it might be more inspiring to do it on the same day as most of you !

Just been for a little walk after breakfast in effort to de-stress and try and bring BP down. I've done it before with gentle exercise so keeping my fingers crossed.
Weighed in this morning and was pleased I'd lost a point, then realised that I must have made a typo on my starting weight on here

So: SW 12 stone 4, GW 10.13, CW 12 stone 3.

I'm comfortable with that. It's been a shitty week as far as health goes, so I'll take every little improvement as a move in the right direction Grin

I do want to lose 2lbs a week ultimately, but a slow start will do fine!

Someone up thread suggested chia pudding - and yes, it's a bit like tapioca but sets. I have never made it before, but I live in a town where we have a very high percentage of Olympians/ vegans/ health food gurus who are always sprinkling a bit of this or that on their hummus and running a marathon before breakfast... so I asked for ideas. I made a blended version (and added cocoa powder - weirdly just like a chocolate mousse and two out of three kids were in favour) and a whole seed vanilla version with a little bit of cinnamon (more like a tapioca consistency which I know is controversial!) I quite like it!
SIL swears by linseed to keep her hot flushes at bay, so maybe I'll end up there too - not quite yet!
Am planning butternut squash soup for lunch (going to try and skip the bread but not sure how successful that will be...) and chilli for dinner, light on the rice.
Good job on the dress, tits!
Sierra, do you use a spiraliser? I just bought one but am a bit clueless...

jd88123 · 28/08/2017 17:57

My day so far... i work nightshift so a bit all over the place with meals! For tea : sweet potatoe with tuna and rocket salad and cucumber. Then Skyr with strawbs, cherries and rasps. Chocolate shake tonight at work (juiceplus) and a doughnut peach. Been for a half hour bike cycle too. Smile

sunshine75 · 28/08/2017 18:03

Meeeeeeeeee, please

ElChan03 · 28/08/2017 18:08

I'm on board to join. Summer with the kids and DP have made me pile on the lbs. Happy to weigh in every week too!

smellylittleorange · 28/08/2017 18:29

Aimga sorry can.ypu add me to the list next time ..also is Goal for Christmas day or 1st Week December?..Ive set my target too high if 1st week Dec!

everyonesgotanopinion · 28/08/2017 19:03

Had a long weekend away, with DH, which was really lovely. Weighed in on Friday at SW class and had maintained at 142. Goal is 2lbs this week. Weigh in again in 4 days.

Having overnight oats with full fat Greek yogurt and berries for breakfast. Can't do low fat because I can't stand the taste of aspartame that seems to go into foods when fat is taken out. Usually only one other meal in the day and generally before 6m consisting of fish or meat with veggies or salad. Even writing this it sounds like losing weight shouldn't be too hard - but it definitely doesn't come off fast. That said I've lost 1.5 stone over last 8 months and kept it off so moving in the right direction. Hope everyone has a good week and has enjoyed some sunshine. I'll post my weigh in on Friday 😊

Sierra259 · 28/08/2017 19:06

theancient This is actually the first time I've been able to persuade DH we've tried the courgette spaghetti so we just bought a packet today. I have to say I was really impressed actually, the oddest thing was the different texture for the first few mouthfuls when your brain's expecting pasta, but it was really tasty! And only 27 calories each for the "spaghetti". 27!!!! Plus one of your 5 a day.

We tend to have spag bol on a Monday to use up veg and we will definitely be having it this way from now on, so I think a spiraliser is on the Christmas list now Smile

HLBug · 28/08/2017 19:57

Butternut Squash "spaghetti" is also yummy sierra - and a bit sweeter for a similar amount of low calories. You're right about the texture - it takes a bit of getting used to!

stitchglitched · 28/08/2017 20:18

Your meals sound yummy Titsalina.

I've been pretty good today, just ham salad for lunch and omelette for dinner. No carbs. Although I did have a Magnum this afternoon. In my defence we were all out for a walk and buying a 4 pack was half the price of individual ones. I couldn't very well let the leftover one melt!Grin

Off to bed soon, hopefully to sleep through the late night hunger and carb cravings that will be arriving soon!

theancientmarinader · 28/08/2017 23:08

Excellent - I will be testing the spiraliser soon then - was going to make bolognese one night this week and handily I have another squash in the cupboard! Result!

pfrench · 29/08/2017 08:16

Omfg, got on the scales. A stone heavier than I was last year at this time, and that's after 2 weeks of 800 cals. Heavier than I was when 9 months pregnant. Might do some flat-spinning about that today, then focus tonight and make a proper plan. 800 cals mot working for me the way it has (mentally I mean), so need a rethink before I start feeling like a constant failure. At least I'll run again as of tomorrow. Erk, this is BAD.

Sierra259 · 29/08/2017 08:40

Good to know about the butternut squash HL, will give it a go!

Right, Tuesdays will be my weigh-in day so popped on the scales this morning and this will be my official start week.
SW 11st 11.5
GW 10st 11
It's just under 17 weeks until Christmas so that's a comfortable 1lb a week with a bit of leeway.

36plusandtrying · 29/08/2017 08:58

No exercise for me today as still sore from boot camp yesterday. Breakfast was natural Greek yogurt, teaspoon honey and handful of strawberries. Lunch was squash, asparagus, quinoa feta salad. Small can of no sugar coke and a banana. Now off home for dinner - need a bit of inspiration of what to make !!!

d270r0 · 29/08/2017 09:04

I was really worried yesterday when I weighed yesterday morning and had put on 3lb over the last few days! But then weighed this morning and lost the 3lb overnight! And now back down to my lowest weight again. It really shows how much you can put on and lose just through water weight etc. So don't worry if it looks like you've put loads on when you weigh, chances are its just water and if you were to weigh the next day it'd be gone again.

I love the idea of the courgette/butternut squash pasta. Do you have to make it yourself or can you buy it- if so do you get it from the pasta section or the fresh section of the supermarket?

Sparrowlegs248 · 29/08/2017 09:57

Hello all, am flat out busy today but I will update the list later on.
