With 15 weeks untill the beginning of December I'm aiming to lose 1 pound a week. First weigh in tomorrow - anyone want to join me?

Thanks for adding me Notta. Also I know a daft question but are you using scales on carpet or hard floor? I know mine can fluctuate loads if I do it on a softer surface, if not though sounds like new ones are in order.

Just had scrambled eggs no toast for breakfast and a digestive thin! I'm not sure how that snuck in. My other temptation is kids leftovers, I have them today so need to be mindful of that rather than just gobbling up leftover cheese etc!

Have never done gf Splat but the thought of thin cheeks tempts me!

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 25/08/2017 10:04

Can I jump in?
Feeling decidedly wobbly after summer holiday excess.
Now it's almost September I'm getting back into 'organised mode'

SW-10.4 this morning.
GW- 9.4 (I'm a slow loser so not sure I can get to this!)

Plan for today
Kayla Istines abs workout - done
Pepper and onion frittata - done
Lunch - going school shoe shopping so a bottle of wine would be nice Grin
Dinner - baked cod with French peas
Snacks - nectarines and dark chocolate after dinner

Plan for the weekend
NO MORE WINE!
Saturday- arm workout
Sunday- 6 mile trail run

Good luck for the weekend everyone!

splatattack · 25/08/2017 10:25

You sound really active Marmalade💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 amazing!

stitchglitched · 25/08/2017 10:25

Feeling annoyed with myself this morning. Did a massive shop at Aldi yesterday, lots of lovely healthy food. Get home and DP decides he fancies a take away for dinner Angry

I know I should exhibit more self control but I couldn't resist ordering something. Only a chicken kebab but still fed up! Still 11st 3 this morning.

Just having a coffee, I only eat between 12-8pm so it helps stop my stomach rumbling! Must avoid carbs today.

pfrench · 25/08/2017 10:33

First day today where I could see a difference - fat belly definitely looking less fat. I'm on holiday in Cornwall at the moment, so doing loads of swimming, but have the temptation of icecream! Also doing things like going out for lunch today, which might be tricky to keep to around 300 cals.

On the way down the other night I got SO hungry it was painful. Ended up having some baked beans on a piece of toast at quarter to one in the morning because I couldn't sleep while that hungry!

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 25/08/2017 11:45

I need to exercise or mental health goes to shit! Grin

pfrench · 25/08/2017 11:55

Yes, same here. Partner will push me out the door if I haven't run for 3 days. Am a right grumpy shit without it.

FuckingHateRats · 25/08/2017 13:18

Had a coffee and one of those little 55 calories chocolates at Cafe Nero after successful suit purchase. Having leftover meatballs from last night for lunch, only a handful of pasta though, literally about 15 bits of penne. Planning fajitas for tea but will just have one and will load it with peppers and onions and not have much cheese or sour cream, sob.

Pfrench it's so lovely when you start to see a difference! My husband has been ON IT for five weeks and you can really see it now, I keep going to hug him and realising he's so much smaller. His face has slimmed down a lot too. Wish I was more motivated to catch up!

AIMGA · 25/08/2017 14:07

Today:
2 eggs
Tbsp of pepper paste
Small bowl of porridge with loads of honey
Crisps, sausage, chorizo, spinach and avacado for lunch (portion was much too big)
Pack of mini buttons and a 6 cubes of chocolate.
Blush not happy with myself, emotional eating yet again. I find its not really love of food that's my problem but stress eating..
Well done to those who have lost Brew

Flowers to those who aren't pleased with themselves. Let's be kind to ourselves and start fresh now not tomorrow WinkBiscuit

I'm the same stitch as soon as DH says he is having a "treat" I want it too.

I need to reprogram myself! "treats" make you feel good and high sugar/junky food, does not make me feel good. I hate myself even as I am eating it!!

Hi newcomers!

AIMGA you sound like me yesterday. It's so hard to keep on track. But so necessary in my case, I'm an actual blancmange Blush

I've had a think about my lack of loss this wk and think actually I probably have managed a pound it's just water weight as I'm due on in 5 days. No need to sabotage myself just because the scales haven't moved.

Been really good & on track today, no brekky then a small bowl of turkey & rice leftover from last night plus a small portion of lentil curls & some rasps. Having burgers for tea, will have brioche bun & corn on the cob but lots of green salad instead of chips. I've totted it up on MFP and it's well within allowance.

We've got this gang, come Christmas we will all have lost some pounds and feel better for it Halo

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 25/08/2017 17:47

Change of plan, ended up at the pictures, but didn't succumb to ice cream!

Lunch- chicken pancetta and avocado salad, couple of handfuls of popcorn

Dinner- pesto pasta with huge ranch salad (50g wholemeal pasta)

I'm back on MFP so hopefully that will keep me on track.
NO WINE. Even though I've done loads today and feel like I 'deserve' it Confused I hate that stupid way of thinking that I have!

pfrench · 25/08/2017 17:58

I had a crab cocktail followed by a huge piece of hake with a salad in a restaurant at lunch time, but no chips or battered anything, so yay me.

Not hungry though, so going to wait until I am and then maybe eat something icecream tomato salad? Am definitely over my 800 cals already, but I've also done 120 lengths of interval trained swimming and walked 10,000 steps, so not that should cover some of it!

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 25/08/2017 20:50

I think you deserve an ice cream after all that swimming!
Just finished the day with skyr with passion fruit and raspberries. I've got a headache because I've not had much sugar and drank loads of water.
Parkrun in the morning!
What's everyone's plans for the weekend?

pfrench · 25/08/2017 21:33

I just had Spanish omlette, padron peppers, toasted walnuts, a small piece of manchego and a glass of cava. And that tomato salad I mentioned earlier. Ahem.

NaughtyElephants · 25/08/2017 22:08

I just had to google padron peppers. Your meal sounds like something I'd eat in a restaurant pfrench think I need to develop my cooking repertoire!

I've got a weekend of family & friends, going to be tough avoiding treats and not having second helpings but I'm feeling determined.

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 26/08/2017 07:51

Check in weight 10.3, so 1lb down from yesterday Grin

splatattack · 26/08/2017 08:09

So I weighed myself and I am 10 st according to the scales this morning. The scales I am using are different to my normal ones as I am away from home so that could be why? But I was 10 st 4 on them two days ago...

I'm happy but I know I have lost these pounds because of stress!! So as soon as I am happy again I will have to make sure they don't creep back on!

Does anyone else lose weight when stressed/super upset??

splatattack · 26/08/2017 08:11

Pfrench...I love love love pardon peppers!!!

dewberries · 26/08/2017 08:22

Morning all,

It's my first weigh in today and I have lost 4lbs

Starting weight 10 9.5
Loss 4
Current weight 10 5.5

FuckingHateRats · 26/08/2017 08:32

Yesterday was a brilliant day , lots of walking... until I fell into a tub of Haagen Dazs 😣😣😣 I'm so angry with myself.

starlight36 · 26/08/2017 08:43

Morning all.

My stats: lost a 1lb so 11st2 today. Quite pleased as haven't been able to do as much exercise as I'd like but have been avoiding treats all week. Very strong willpower needed yesterday when kids had huge delicious-looking ice-creams.

As well as using my phone to record steps I've also downloaded the new Active 10 app as I fall in the age range of 40-60. For those who haven't seen it yet it calculates the minutes of brisk walking you have done - walking which will provide real health benefits and hopefully burn extra calories. I knew walking at a kids pace wasn't that great but was slightly horrified just how little brisk walking I'm currently doing - only 22 minutes yesterday and 11 minutes on Thurs. I satisfy the recommended minimum of 10 mins a day but I was a bit disappointed. I guess it is something that I can easily improve.

WildIrishRose1 · 26/08/2017 09:13

Everyone is doing great work! Weighed in this morning at 161lbs, so 4 off! I feel less bloated and generally better about myself. Onwards and upwards!

WildIrishRose1 · 26/08/2017 09:18

Perhaps the "less bloated" feeling is due to being off the drink, though. I also hope to start the 30 DS DVD next week, when our two lunatic houseguests have gone homeConfused, if I can stop making excuses!

Sparrowlegs248 · 26/08/2017 15:51

Just a quick update, just done Tesco shop, with toddler and baby both sat in trolley for the first time. Not impressed and decided he woad hungry.

Dashed round and sitting in the Costa that's attached with an iced coffee. That is all! No cake!

Porridge fir brekkie, three ryvita, cream cheese, cucumber, tomato for lunch. A slice of toast with Jam that toddler refused and I'd eaten before I realized I shouldn't. Apple, banana.

Salad for tea, with chicken.
