Desperately seeking support..... 3 stone to lose. Who's with me?!

OK. This is ridiculous now.

I am a good three stone overweight. I can no longer call it baby weight because:

a) DD is now three years old.
b) I'm heavier than I was before, during or after my pregnancy.

I am unhappy. I look gross, and I feel like I am being held hostage inside my own body. I don't feel in any way attractive - in fact, I'm embarrassed by how I look and what I have done to myself. I hate the nursery run, as all the other mums are slim and healthy (even the ones who have tiny babies!).

It's impacting on my sex life with DH, on my energy to do anything (not doing any hobbies any more, house is a mess, tend to just hang around the house with DD) and on my enjoyment of life. I spend far too much money on food, which is impacting on our plans for the future (how fucking sad is that?).

I eat and drink too much, and move too little. It is that simple.

So, my life will be in calories in vs. calories out.

1100 cals per day, with most of them coming from protein and good fats. Limit carbs as I'm a carb monster and they don't fill me up.

Exercise - we have a rowing machine and a cross trainer in the garage, a really decent local swimming pool and bloody miles of fabulous countryside around us. I have no excuse not to do some form of exercise everyday, other than utter laziness.

Oh, and steps. I have a fitbit. It appears that since about this time last year, my daily average steps have halved, to less than 5000 per day. No fucking wonder I'm fat, eh? So those are going back up, even if I have to march on the sodding spot before bed.

I am happier when I consume less. I know this. I am happier when I feel healthy, when I feel good in my skin, I know this too. SO WHY THE FUCK IS THIS SO HARD???

Anyone who wants to join me in cheering the good days, gently querying the bad days, having a good old moan together instead of turning to chocolate and gin (and cake and bread and crisps and cheese and wine and beer and, quite frankly, whatever I can find in the cupboards) then please do. Otherwise, I am going to use this to offload on each and every day. To record my progress (cos there will be progress this time) and to show that I can do this. I can.

If I get brave, I might even upload photos.

All the weight loss story I've read about apple cider seem to be legit!, the lady in the Holland and Barratt by me has even lost weight on it!, make sure you get the braggs one though for best results xx

FoxyLoxy22

did you lose anything on the apple cider vinegar so far?

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 15/08/2017 18:41

I bought a cheap freezer so I can do more batch cooking, so far so good as I haven't had a takeout for 3 weeks which is unheard of.

However I made the mistake of trying American pancakes with blueberries thanks to a Joe Wickes video I saw on FB they're lovely but I'm not sure they're that conducive to weight loss Hmm

Tried a new workout DVD...still haven't made it to the end! I need to move more in general I'm averaging 5,500 steps per day with is pretty poor. I watched an entire of episode of Obese - A year to save my life & came away in awe of the effort the lady put in so must try harder on the exercise front.

3lb loss in my first week so really pleased. Wearing my Fitbit has motivated me to complete 10,000 minimum steps a day. I won't go to bed until I've completed them. Not so easy when I'm at work and had to walk round my lounge for 20 minutes to complete them. Will continue with 10,000 steps a day and combine 5:2 diet with no S diet and have 1 day off for my sanity.

kally195 · 15/08/2017 21:36

Well done on 3lbs off.

I will post properly in the morning when I can sit in front of the computer, but suffice to say that I am thoroughly disgusted with myself so far this week.

Can I join? I started January with 4stone to lose (approx. Didn't weigh but exact same size as last time I was 14 stone. Im 5ft3). Muddled along and didn't lose much despite exercise and was 13St when I started seriously at the end of June. So 3 stone to lose

Have been consistent and added a fitbit aiming for 10000 steps daily. I've been under 1200 cals unless high exercise. Can i join for ongoing motivation? Weighed in today 1lb off this week, 1stone 9 total. 1stone 5 to go!

Refilona · 17/08/2017 03:08

That's so amazing, well done @Longtime. I've been super good lately (really loving lifesum and eating about 1500 kcal a day) but today I had a nutella crepe with 2 icecream scoops (dulce de leche and banoffee). It was delicious but ridiculously sweet and caloric. I'm on holidays so thought I'd treat myself but now I feel really guilty!

Scared247 · 17/08/2017 10:06

Can i join?

I lost 4 stone 3 years ago and its slowly starting to creep back on. Im only short so i feel like every lb shows.

Need to lose 2 stone! I started yesterday and decided to cut the wine, as it was becoming a problem for me. Ill be eating 1200 kcals a day and walking 10000 steps. Weigh in on a weds.

Got a muggy head today probably from lack of sugar yesterday need to get over the next few days of feeling crap without caving!

lucy2204 · 20/08/2017 15:30

I've put on 3lbs! :(

Princessbubbles · 20/08/2017 15:54

Don't feel disheartened Lucy. Did you find the apple cider vinegar reduced your appetite? If not I'd try something else. I'm a firm believer that we have to eat less and exercise more. I've been doing 10,000 steps a day and so far so good. Don't give up. Start again fresh.

lucy2204 · 21/08/2017 04:06

princessbubbles' yeah it has and given me more energy, I work out for and hour and half a day (have weekend off) as well as chase the little one around :( just doesn't seem to be working even having small portion -.- (healthy food obviously)
