Another 2lbs off this morning so nearly into the realms of things being a bit less scary Smile

Howlongtillbedtime · 14/06/2017 07:41

Morning all can I join you all ?

I was on these threads a while ago but haven't been here for ages and I am losing and gaining the same 4 pounds for months.

My end goal is to lose 2 stone by cal counting and upping excercise.

All hints tips and kicks appreciated.

Today my plan is to
log everything on mfp
Go for a run or to the gym
Keep under 1500 cals

Going to go back over the thread for inspiration.

HairsprayBabe · 14/06/2017 08:13

10.8 so stayed the same even though we had commiseration pizza last night

TVHubbyClaire · 14/06/2017 10:35

I was at 12st 9 this morning, better than last couple of days

Aiming for a good day today, hungry already but trying to last until lunchtime.

Lunch will be a tub of fruit, a cup a soup and a yogurt with some choc covered rice cakes to see me through the afternoon

It has definitely been a struggle this past week or two....

lastqueenofscotland · 14/06/2017 12:11

Anyone else stress-eat? It's a pattern I'm definitely noticing. And not a good one Confused
Having a bad day at work and all I want is packs of crisps

HairsprayBabe · 14/06/2017 13:29

Just had the nicest salad for lunch from Waitrose, broccoli, kale, quinoa, with pumpkin seeds and cucumber batons, plus a small punnet of blueberries, came in at 268 cals.

We are having stirfry for tea, DP is still really upset about work stuff and we just found out he probably won't have a job come September Sad

lastqueenofscotland · 14/06/2017 14:53

Oh hairspray that's rubbish Sad at least he has a good time to look for other stuff.

Stellar67 · 14/06/2017 17:21

I tried to post yesterday and then had a visitor so I didn't come back.

I am feeling like an egg fast might get me back on track. I'm also all over the place and put 2lbs back on.

From the Fitbit challenges I've also realised I don't have the time in the day to walk!

Stellar67 · 14/06/2017 17:24

Sorry to hear that hairspray. My contract ends in two weeks. I knew this and I'm fairly certain I'll get something after the summer holidays. But I liked the one I was on.

Welcome new people.

I'm in Scotland so I'm guessing I'll have to travel down Grin

lastqueenofscotland · 14/06/2017 17:25

I feel like I've had a real breakthrough today/ last few days and that is that I overeat when I'm stressed. Which I'd never really considered, but as soon as I'm stressed at work all bets are off and it takes every bit of willpower to stop! Not my best day ever today but not my worst.
Going to keep a supply of fruit/carrot and cucumber sticks and work and Diet Coke so I got for that not the junk from the shop down the road

HairsprayBabe · 15/06/2017 08:08

10.8 again, this is what I get for having a midweek pizza, will have to be good at the weekend to now

Had stirfry last night, worked out at about 400 cals + 300ish from lunch... was hoping for a loss but apparently not

+2 from the start of the month still and half way through... this is not looking good!

I think what is most frustrating about DP's work sitch is that he was told two weeks ago that they were 100% keeping him till December, now they seem to have changed their minds!

FreeNiki · 15/06/2017 08:41

One pizza doesn't make you gain a couple
of pounds Confused

Seriously the explanation is the weight loss wasnt real in the first place. It was likely water weight loss from fasting / restricting calories / egg fasts / whatever else so severely for a few days / weeks before that.

The caveat in the fasting etc is that the weight loss isnt real and wont stay down.

HairsprayBabe · 15/06/2017 08:47

Shock Nooooo Niki don't say that!

Not gained from the pizza, gained over the weekend and I can't seem to shake it off this week that's all! Grin

Are any other low carbers considering bringing carbs back into their diet more regularly at any point?

lastqueenofscotland · 15/06/2017 08:58

Hairspray you will also likely be reaching a stage now where it comes off a lot slower.

Same as yesterday which is a relief!!

FreeNiki · 15/06/2017 09:10

Hairspray it's true Im afraid Sad

If you fast or severely restrict calories it'll just go back on. Its better to eat sensible calories and up the exercise.

Also it will slow.

I started at 11.5.

Now I'm down to about 10.7 and have hit a wall.

No weight loss last month or this. Sad

It slows down when you are no longer overweight

HairsprayBabe · 15/06/2017 09:22

I shall just pretend you didn't say that and continue on in blissful ignorance! I still feel like I am wayyy too close to the overweight category, especially when I know I can gain 9lbs in one weekend!

Going to go for a run tonight, then we are having mexican for tea Grin

TVHubbyClaire · 15/06/2017 09:58

I think I'm joining you in the blissful ignorance group hairspray and unfortunately according to BMI I am still overweight just thankfully a lot less than when I started

Todays scales said 12st 7 3/4 so I'm taking that as a minor success, tricky few days coming up and will need to be careful. Below 12st 7 would be fab by end of monthHmm

TVHubbyClaire · 15/06/2017 10:00

oh and just to add, Mexican sounds fab, I unfortunately love tacos, tortillas, cheese, sour cream and guacamole

God , none of that sounds particularly golden.........

HairsprayBabe · 15/06/2017 10:06

We are having lettuce "tacos" using romaine as the taco shell, keeping all the other things though!

FreeNiki · 15/06/2017 10:54

I want to lose more weight too. My bmi is 24.7 at 10.7 stone and that's too much.

I was 8.5 at university and 9.7 in my mid twenties.

Hate being this size. All these months at the gym and I still have a fat arse, pudgy tummt, bingo wings.

FreeNiki · 15/06/2017 11:27

Had some nice interactions with Hot PT today 😍😍😍😍😍😍

lastqueenofscotland · 15/06/2017 11:40

I love Mexican food.Sad

HairsprayBabe · 15/06/2017 12:03

Mine is 23.8 atm, still too close to 25 for my liking!

TVHubbyClaire · 15/06/2017 12:47

My BMI is 26.7 Sad and I reckon in January that would have been 28.5, an improvement at least but still apparently 9 Lindas shy of healthy.....
