Hairspray I used to weigh daily and it drove me crazy. Obsessing over every little fluctuation.

I now only weigh myself when Ive been good or Im pretty sure Ive either lost weight or stayed the same.

About 1-2 times a week now. I never weigh before my period as Im always a couple of lbs heavier.

Squiffy01 · 08/06/2017 14:26

I put my scales away and get them out once a week, as years ago when I did daily weighing I got to obsessed with it. I would want to eat hardly anything for dinner cause I had to weigh in tomorrow which isn't healthy.
I even took them on holiday once Blush cause I couldnt not weigh in for 10 days. It was after that holiday I put them away.

TVHubbyClaire · 08/06/2017 15:24

I currently weigh myself 2 - 3 times a week, I was thinking of doing it more often to help me react to a bad day more quickly so i guess I'm heading towards the hairspray way of thinking.

I think I have let things lsip a bit with what I'm eating since getting below 12st 10 and I need to get more discipline back into things if I'm going to get where I want to get to.

I guess I will weigh myself more often but I should be focusing more on getting my daily calorie intake down

leesmum · 08/06/2017 16:20

Went to McDonald's today...had Big Mac Meal....it was gorgeous.... SadSadSad was doing so well this week too!!

FreeNiki · 08/06/2017 17:08

Ah well leesmum. A mcdonalds isnt fatal as long as you are careful for rest of day.

leesmum · 08/06/2017 17:23

Yes suppose so Nikki wouldn't mind but it didn't even fill me up!!! Yes being good and going for a run later Wink

FreeNiki · 08/06/2017 17:46

Its not as bad as you think. A big mac is about 500 calories. A packet of fries about 300. If you had a diet coke thats no calories.

800 calories from the food so as long as you're careful the rest of the day then you wont go that high.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 08/06/2017 18:03

Today is going to pot!

No breakfast as normal and my salad was already waiting for me in the fridge at work. As was my fruit and cereal bar as I take them in in bulk as I hate the faff of making daily lunches.

Home, via polling station. Congratulating myself on avoiding the lure of a Costa lemon tart (my favourite!)

And have managed, while cooking a healthy dinner of chinese chicken thighs, to eat 2 slices of cheese with an apple. And some spicy crisps. Which is probably enough cals to count as my dinner.

Not very hungry at the moment for some strange reason.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 08/06/2017 18:05

Heading out to dance fit soon (for the first time in 9 months - I'm not going to have a clue wtf to do and there are full length mirrors there!!!!) so might not eat anything else.
At least I have lots of cals left due to the dance fit and being otherwise healthy today.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 08/06/2017 23:21

Bugger.

Enjoyed dance fit. Nearly DIED but enjoyed it. Very glad I've joined up or else I'd be tempted to wimp out and not go back!

Not helped by the fact that I was the fattest person in the room - much reflected by the mirrors. Sad Bit of an eye opener really.

Partly due to the natural appetite dampening effect of exercise and partly because I'm still Shock at how big I thought I looked, I've not eaten anything else this evening. Which is something.

I'm determined to keep going (and have membership til at least Oct and hate wasting money so will keep going) and am determined to not be the fattest person in the room asap!

BitOutOfPractice · 09/06/2017 00:11

Oh dear. I expected to be in bed listening to old episodes of poirot on radio 4extra by now. Instead I've raided the freezer for cocktails

Boop only just climbed into bed myself.was celebrating a recently departed dear friends bday. 3 glasses of rose, pulled pork, coleslaw, potato salad, corn cob, tom salad, green salad & Eton mess. Rest of day was scrambled egg on toast.
Tomorrow is a long day of work on my feet, so stupid as I've prob caused a flare with all that wine, grrr.

lastqueenofscotland · 09/06/2017 07:25

Despite having to be at work at 7 I stayed up till half fucking four watching the election....
Have a salad for lunch and this evening could be a boozy write off...

HairsprayBabe · 09/06/2017 07:59

Good morning all,
10.7 for me today, so back at the start of the month again!

DP has an interview today and the election was a bit gripping last night so it is probably stress haha!

Bluepetal1 · 09/06/2017 08:19

Drmadeline well done on the dance . I didn't see how your day was bad food wise except for the crisps .

Also I had a big chat with my leader and she said we must not skip meals . I tend to not eat a dinner if I feel I have been bad during the day .

Ok so far today I did a 20 min work out and clocked 2400 steps . Happy out . Had half a slice of whole meal toast with bit of banana and a bowl of fruit salad with a spoon of Greek yoghurt. Feel satisfied .

Weekend hard but I am determined to be at least 194 by wed night .

Bluepetal1 · 09/06/2017 08:20

Good luck to your husband hairspray

Sunshine a lovely way to celebrate friends birthday

HairsprayBabe · 09/06/2017 08:27

I wouldn't worry about skipping meals, why eat if you aren't hungry? Surely that means you don't need it.

I don't eat breakfast in the week, and at the weekend I often just have brunch at 11ish late lunch at 3ish and skip dinner. Calories are calories no matter when you eat them!

TVHubbyClaire · 09/06/2017 09:20

I was also up until 3ish this morning watching election coverage and am now having toast to get me going as I would like to go to bed.....Sad

Softpebbles · 09/06/2017 09:28

BOOP - Fantastic - Cocktails at midnight!!

DR - Well done on the dance class :)

Great work shredding the weekend weight Hairspray.

NSV today - my cup size on my bra is baggy.

11.1 on the scales so coming down slowly but its coming down.

Tired Last?

I probably weigh twice a week.
Have a great day all :)

QuimReaper · 09/06/2017 09:35

Haha BOOP that's fab! What was the occasion? Just election-coverage fuel?

Madeline well done on the dance! I'm with petal, a bit of cheese and an apple doesn't seem to disastrous.

petal that is pure nonsense. I think the only reason for that advice is that when people are trying to lose weight they sometimes panic and starve themselves and then crack and eat everything in sight, which can quickly become a vicious and unhealthy cycle. You're less likely to break with the diet if you plan a healthy day and stick to it, and don't allow yourself to get too hungry. BUT if you can stick to the plan whilst only eating when you're actually hungry, there is absolutely no reason not to skip meals.

sunshine that sounds like a lovely day, and I'm so sorry about your friend. What a lovely way to honour their memory, and hang the calories Flowers

BitOutOfPractice · 09/06/2017 09:57

I was drinking cocktails to celebrate the election result. It was most entertaining. Now I have to face the day on a hangover and less than 5 hours sleep Confused

HairsprayBabe · 09/06/2017 10:47

I checked the exit poll, slept till 2:30 woke up anxious, dropped off at about 5ish and then got up at 6...

am tired!

readyforsunshine · 09/06/2017 12:52

Yay pebbles!

Bluepetal1 · 09/06/2017 12:52

Mmm I think I misrepresented what I meant. Quim you got it . Yes skipping meals because I have been bad and then starving myself to make up for it . Then cracking lol.

Bluepetal1 · 09/06/2017 12:53

Hairspray can you have a little nap
