Awesome boop!

Archduke · 12/05/2017 22:40

Poorpaws you are doing brilliantly. Try not to focus on what you feel you are missing out on but focus on what you are gaining - good health, vitality etc etc I found focusing on the nutrient value of everything I ate helped my mind switch over from wanting choc, crisps etc to seeing them for what they were - empty nutritionally crap foods which made me fat and have zero energy.

FreeNiki · 12/05/2017 23:02

Niki is there something else you can do instead? Smaller scale?

open to suggestions.....

have pigged out again today. but did body pump.

Sorry name change fail!

readyforsunshine · 13/05/2017 06:43

niki how about a yoga retreat closer to home? Go and explore a new city or walk a section of a walk such as Thames path?
poorpaws are you following a plan at all? Maybe we can help you with some less restrictive ideas.
I'm back down to previous start weight (again) & feeling good this am. Felt terrible last night & was worried I was going to have a flare but a good nights sleep has done me good. We are going to a Eurovision party tonight dressed as Buck's Fizz, amazed the teens are up for it! Can't remember who on here was hosting one but have funSmile
I'm out with dd & dhorse Sunday until late so am going to do some food prep today & am determined to avoid the bacon rollsGrin
Have a great w/e all

Sunshineandlaughter · 13/05/2017 07:02

Oops three massive shortbread cookies eaten in night must stop eating half asleep in night!! Stress and tiredness such an eating trigger for me and the D.C. were up about 5 times between them and had the usual Friday night row with OH.

BitOutOfPractice · 13/05/2017 09:36

Why do you usually have a Friday night row?

I'm off to Manchester today for a Strictly dancing weekend with my mom and sister. Having a dancing lesson from Anton this afternoon. Very excited!

OP posts:
Sunshineandlaughter · 13/05/2017 10:00

Wow that's really exciting! Jealous!!! Have fun - what an amazing thing to do!

We always seem to row on a Friday as the stress and tiredness of the week comes out - definitely a pattern we need to break especially as it has me reaching for the sugar.
Im 11,9 this am though! The cookies haven't had too much of an impact - this is the lowest weight I've been since I gave birth 10 months ago. My body is weird - must be hormonal as period due and think the water weight has finally come off today.

Healthy happy weekends everyone

FreeNiki · 13/05/2017 13:25

I have done yoga retreats before. I would like to go to Iceland but very expensive.

I really want my old job back.

On a brighter note my gym is releasing a whole load of new classes that look good.

BitOutOfPractice · 13/05/2017 18:50

Ultimate NSV: I have danced with Anton du Beke. (One of only two picked out). His comment to me: "Lovely! Very Light!" Grin

BOOM!

poorpaws · 13/05/2017 22:17

BOOP so so jealous, well done you Twinkletoes.

Arch you talk so much sense and I knew w you are right.

Ready I'm doing two Angel Weeks back to back (no more than 1,200 calories and over 15,000 steps per day and some hard work too). Today was my last day so tomorrow, Sunday, I will have limited calories until weigh in at 5 pm and in the ending I allow myself chocolate or wine. I find it hard going but I lose well on it and I'd been stuck on the same weight the previous three weeks so it will be worth it. I am very nearly "normal" weight now, i.e. No longer obese or overweight 😀

I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Squiffy01 · 13/05/2017 23:31

2lbs up this week Sad really annoyed with myself but period arrived which explained all the eating. Back on it today with a super golden day with food. No exercise will hope to get some in tomorrow.

Working late. Knackered!

niki I want to go to Iceland too... keep putting it off.
boop sounds like a fantastic thing to do, and a great NSV Smile

FreeNiki · 14/05/2017 02:19

Archduke · 14/05/2017 06:50

BeyondStrongAndStable · 14/05/2017 09:36

Up 0.4 lbs yesterday, and back down 0.4lbs today.

Very happy with that, as me and my (on SW) sister shared half a slice of birthday cake. Kept everything else on track though :)

poorpaws · 14/05/2017 17:33

2 1/2 pounds off, quite pleased with that. 10 stone 6 pounds now which means I am 1 pound off being a healthy weight and not overweight anymore. Can't wait to get that 1 pound gone.

Woohoo chocolate tonight!

Good luck to everyone else weighing in.

FreeNiki · 14/05/2017 18:58

Ive fallen off the wagon totally and eaten so much crap. Oh well. Next week is a new week.

Another golden day for me.

Do you think I will ever stop thinking I'm disgusting when I look in the mirror?

poorpaws · 14/05/2017 21:52

Niki we've all been there. It's okay not to do so well sometimes. I'm an expert at not doing so well 😀

Archduke · 14/05/2017 22:49

Squif please don't be too negative about yourself - or at least be negative in a positive way, ie not

"Oh god, I'm so fat and disgusting, it makes me so miserable, I need a large cake to make me feel better"

but more . . .

"Oh god, I don't look as good as I know I can, so I'LL GO FOR A RUN and shake off my fat old arse and tone up my wobbly thighs"

Do you get the difference? Realistic self talk is fine if it's motivating but not the depressing self hate that makes you feel hopeless and stuck. Flowers

Anyway, of course you'll look and feel better about yourself if you stick with the-best-thread-on-mumsnet Grin

I had friends round for dinner on Sat night and made this Fish Curry it was lush, can totes recommend. Prob not low cal but good for a special occasion. Also did a dark choc semifreddo for dessert which was amazeballs.

In other news youngest dd who a year ago had a fucking awful horse riding accident which led to her being in hospital for months, got back on a horse for the first time - my heart was in my mouth the whole time but she (and her big sister) absolutely loved it. So proud of them both. Pic of her on our friends pony. She was so, so happy.
