Squif please don't be too negative about yourself - or at least be negative in a positive way, ie not
"Oh god, I'm so fat and disgusting, it makes me so miserable, I need a large cake to make me feel better"
but more . . .
"Oh god, I don't look as good as I know I can, so I'LL GO FOR A RUN and shake off my fat old arse and tone up my wobbly thighs"
Do you get the difference? Realistic self talk is fine if it's motivating but not the depressing self hate that makes you feel hopeless and stuck.
Anyway, of course you'll look and feel better about yourself if you stick with the-best-thread-on-mumsnet
I had friends round for dinner on Sat night and made this Fish Curry it was lush, can totes recommend. Prob not low cal but good for a special occasion. Also did a dark choc semifreddo for dessert which was amazeballs.
In other news youngest dd who a year ago had a fucking awful horse riding accident which led to her being in hospital for months, got back on a horse for the first time - my heart was in my mouth the whole time but she (and her big sister) absolutely loved it. So proud of them both. Pic of her on our friends pony. She was so, so happy.
