Well done on the closed kitchen and teeny amount of calories.
I've just had a bag of popcorn for my dinner as I have an appointment and won't be home until late. So very hungry!

QuimReaper · 08/05/2017 19:59

Wow, well done Spurious! Closed here too at about the same, and 12,000 steps. I was doing amazingly until I made DH a pasta salad for tomorrow's lunch and I made a bit too much and just scarfed a load of it myself Hmm I was just so hungry!

lastqueenofscotland · 08/05/2017 20:26

Managed a really golden day today. Very pleased!

BitOutOfPractice · 08/05/2017 20:50

Golden here too. 1000 calories, 13k steps including a 20minute run.

Quim I agree that you need to be kind to yourself right now. It's all still so raw Flowers

FreeNiki · 08/05/2017 21:25

Have done about 700 calories today and a circuits class. Guess that counts as golden.

poorpaws · 08/05/2017 22:19

Golden day too. 1,200 calories But over 20,000 steps - I'm shattered.

Niki hope you are feeling a bit brighter.

poorpaws · 08/05/2017 22:21

Quim thinking of you too, hope you are coping as best you can.

FreeNiki · 08/05/2017 22:40

Nope about to break out the diazepam for the night. It'll mean I wont be awake for a few hours though.

Archduke · 09/05/2017 04:28

Niki how do you feel about making a plan your your 39th year? Do you feel up to setting some goals? We can all help you and join in - I know I for one need job hunting help/encouragement. Or would you rather I just butt out - happy either way x

BOOP your party for your mum sounds so lovely, congratulations to her.

I've had nuts and dates so far today, got slow cooked pork in the oven for later - off now to walk the dogs as is lovely and sunny. Had a job interview this morning, it was awful, the job was great and would be perfect for me (and I would be perfect for it) but I perform like a baboon in interviews so am depressed and all I want to do is go back to bed and eat chocs. Sad

Quim be gentle with yourself mate, well done the rest of you on your golden days and angel weeks.

Archduke · 09/05/2017 04:31

Oh, would you guys walk dogs on your own in a remote (ish) wood?

It's a beautiful spot and I kind of want to go there as dogs can run off lead but I'm worried that I might get murdered. A body was found in these woods a few years ago - turned out to be a Bikie burial site for a murder victim. Actually, I'm talking myself out of it . . .

minnymoobear · 09/05/2017 05:29

Had a decent day

minnymoobear · 09/05/2017 05:34

Ooops! Hit post too soon!

Porridge for brekkie
Aynsley mushroom soup for lunch
Meal out with work - fish, mash and veg and water, loaded cheesy potato skins (yum!)

Normally have Choccy junk at home in the evening but didn't - went to sleep instead.

Low on exercise yesterday but lunchtime walk today and will be cycling later, possible swimming too if I can make it!

Did her a compliment from someone I saw 2 weeks ago who told me I'd lost weight, bless her! I only started yesterday 😂

Squiffy01 · 09/05/2017 07:10

arch walking in the woods is one of my favourite things, can't do it in London but it was the one thing I loved about my work trips to Norway, I would take up to the lake and woods on the weekend for hours, was fabulous!

niki are there any groups in your area you could join something like the WI in your area or one of those book groups where main focus is chatting and it the book Grin?
I know for me personally I'm always at my worst when I'm on my own for too long and friends are busy, I need that interaction and just random chats with people to keep me sane.

Very impressed with you all! I haven't been as golden as I would like, need to keep focused. I am trying to be very mindful and not eat my options as I'm getting quite frustrated with work. Haven't finished on time since Feb.

Archduke · 09/05/2017 08:06

OMG OMG OMG OMG

Am back from the walk and totally traumatised.

Our idiot puppy ran off and went totally AWOL for an HOUR. I was terrified that he'd been attacked by a snake or a Kangaroo (they're viscous bastards). I must have walked/run 15kms shouting myself hoarse and worrying myself silly before he strolled up cheerful as anything and licked me hello.

At home now drinking a medicinal tea. Am considering a medicinal g&t but only 4.30pm

HairsprayBabe · 09/05/2017 08:17

Arch That sounds horribly stressful, one of the reasons I couldn't handle Oz I think, spiders, snakes and bloody boiling hot!

11 dead for me today, was positively diamond yesterday fast day finishing on 482 cals, and will be having another good day today.

My dinner for tonight comes from Hugh Fearnley-Whatsitall

Pesto and feta stuffed peppers, but I swap the new potatoes for cannellini beans or butter beans.

gasmarkfive.com/2016/05/20/stuffed-peppers-with-new-potatoes-feta-and-pesto/

Will be having it with a big green salad.

Archduke · 09/05/2017 08:25

Hairspray this is Bill Bryson's take on Australia

Bill Bryson > Quotes > Quotable Quote

“[Australia] is the home of the largest living thing on earth, the Great Barrier Reef, and of the largest monolith, Ayers Rock (or Uluru to use its now-official, more respectful Aboriginal name). It has more things that will kill you than anywhere else. Of the world's ten most poisonous snakes, all are Australian. Five of its creatures - the funnel web spider, box jellyfish, blue-ringed octopus, paralysis tick, and stonefish - are the most lethal of their type in the world. This is a country where even the fluffiest of caterpillars can lay you out with a toxic nip, where seashells will not just sting you but actually sometimes go for you. ... If you are not stung or pronged to death in some unexpected manner, you may be fatally chomped by sharks or crocodiles, or carried helplessly out to sea by irresistible currents, or left to stagger to an unhappy death in the baking outback. It's a tough place.”

I think he sums it up.

BeyondStrongAndStable · 09/05/2017 08:28

Morning all! Arch - I'd say 4.30 is late enough for medicinal gin. It IS an emergency... Grin glad to hear DPuppy appeared back without a care in the word :)

Down 0.8lb today after a platinum day yesterday!! Not quite as platinum as my Fitbit thought though, as I forgot to take it off to do the school run - 700 steps gained courtesy of my scooter Grin apart from that though, I well beat my step goal, did Pilates and calories were on track :)

runningtogetskinny · 09/05/2017 08:30

1.4 lb loss, hoped for more but gave me a wake up call! While I didn't regain any I lost Monday - Friday I didn't lose any more therefore need to cut the odd square of white chocolate and not have wine 3 nights!! Well done everyone who lost 👌🏻

TVHubbyClaire · 09/05/2017 09:21

FFS......12st 10 again today......I knew I shouldn't have been so optimistic last week...Angry....I really want to get to 12st 7 and below....

At least its Tuesday and I have a few days to improve although Premier League darts on Thursday will not be golden.......

BitOutOfPractice · 09/05/2017 09:40

Bloody hell Archie I'd be necking the gin like a good'un if I were you!

I'm half a pound down this morning according to the BF's scales. I'll take that.

Everyone is being positively angelic this week! Halo keep going girls (and TV). I've had scrambled eggs for breakfast and am making bacon and asparagus quiche for dinner. Not sure about lunch. Might pop out to M&S for a mooch.

arch your poor dog glad you found him.

I have relatives in Australia so I was going to visit sometime.

Niki how do you feel about making a plan your your 39th year? Do you feel up to setting some goals? We can all help you and join in - I know I for one need job hunting help/encouragement. Or would you rather I just butt out - happy either way x

I do feel like setting some goals and I already have plenty but I am not sure how achievable they are.

I seem to be well under 10.5 on the scale but cant verify without the boditrax machine.

BOOP we all do seem to be doing better this month.
