Spring is Sprung and the Easter bunny is on his way. Let's dodge the chocolate temptations and power our way to 7lbs off this month

Here's a link to the March thread

Yes, Mr BOOP needs to help us out, he is the official Thread Namer!

Just been catching up with everyone, completely not tired at all for some reason, even though I've had about 3hrs sleep in the last 30 and haven't had a really good night's sleep the whole holiday. Bloody well done on the running and new low TV, the Topshop Sz12 BOOP (which is surely size 8 or so in real money) and the 10 Hairspray and many many more who have gone out of my head! Those truffles look absolutely divine Shock

Mainly, if you're still here, my sincerest commiserations to Mountain - I don't know if you were around much on the March thread but I was in the same position and lost my wonderful Dad five weeks ago today. I know how horribly hard it is and I really feel for you Flowers On a practical note, have you mentioned to the hospital that you're GF? I'm sure they'll be very happy to feed you, and will of course be prepared to feed patients with all dietary requirements.

FreeNiki · 27/04/2017 04:00

It has to include a play on the word and month May.

May we all lose 50 fucking Linda's in May for example

readyforsunshine · 27/04/2017 06:53

stellar how awful for you & your friends, glad you can talk hereFlowers
quim I'm sure it was worth it, you've lost it before, a fresh new month awaits to get stuck into.
koko Flowers have you got anything nice to look forward to at the w/e, or will you have time ton just rest? I get massively derailed too but feel better able to cope if I'm eating well, why do we do itConfused I def find high protein/ lots veg is the way to go as if I try to lo cal when stressed ill end up crashing later in the day, good luck.
Im pleased to report that I have not had a drink since Sunday & im sleeping sooooo well!

ponygirlcurtis · 27/04/2017 07:06

Flowers for you and your friends Stellar. What awful situations.

Nice to see you back Quim.

I am struggling to find my focus in amongst the stress - wedding a week on Saturday and I still don't know what shoes and jewellery I will wear, and have little opportunity to shop for anything. Plus lots of work stress, and present buying stress - everything seems to be crammed into the next few weeks. If I make it to mid-May without eating everything in sight, I will be amazed. Confused

BitOutOfPractice · 27/04/2017 07:40

Morning! New low on the scales this morning. I haven't quite made it to my goal of being 10 stone something by the time I go away tomorrow but I'm soooo close at 11st 1lb.

Pony is it your wedding? I think I must've missed that!!

We have a new thread title ready and waiting. I love that man

Morning all!

Welcome back Quim hope you had a lovely time away!

Thanks Lasty although I feel I have not done well at all this month, I am currently -2lbs down from the first, I was storming it before easter but I hit a wall and had a few bad days and ended up on 11.4!

Nearly down to my lowest for this month 10.11 -2 with 3 days to go, and I have plans involving food and cocktails this weekend so I think I will sadly end the month on a gain!

I have a goal of about 10st ish, but I will see how I feel when I get there, that would give me a BMI of 22 so I feel I could let loose occasionally without "The Guilt" immediately!

But I really am loosing weight for vanity reasons, I wasn't super unhealthy and I just want to look good in clothes and not in clothes

Chardonnay73 · 27/04/2017 08:57

Hello! I'm back from the Dominican Republic, ended up being rushed into hospital with the pains in my arm Shock
Tests have shown I have a crumbling spine the drs words were 'you have the spine of a 70 year old' Shock
Managed to make it through the last few days with heavy duty meds and flew home on Monday.
I'm on diazepam, tramadol, morphine and some steroids. I don't know what day of the week it is!!
Got an MRI next Tuesday and Consultant spot on Thursday. Looking like I will probably have to have spinal surgery in the next couple of weeks Sad
Feeling very sorry for myself and my family as it ruined our dream holiday Angry
On the plus side lost weight through all this so hit 2 stone loss this morning Smile
Will try and catch up with all your posts x

TVHubbyClaire · 27/04/2017 09:14

Fab to see you back Quim

My optimism of yesterday has taken a backwards step today....did actually walk 3 miles last night but DW had made "healthy" raspberry/chocolate brownies which were fab.....Sad

Weighed in this morning and back on 12st 10 1/2 and just had egg and beans on toast......FFS....couldn't help myself , was very hungry this morning and in an office with a canteen for the next few weeks........could be dangerous.....Confused

HairsprayBabe · 27/04/2017 09:26

TV My office has a canteen, I dont take any money with me so I can't physically use it.

This is obviously unhelpful if it is free or they take card, could you leave your wallet in the car so you have to go outside and make a conscious decision to use the canteen?

HairsprayBabe · 27/04/2017 09:57

Chard Shock Hope you are doing ok now! Flowers

Archduke · 27/04/2017 11:10

Chard that's awful! I'm so sorry what a shock for you. And sorry it wrecked your holiday.

How lovely to have you back with us Quim. I very much liked your boulder-quim-rolling-into-view. Made me laff.

Stellar sorry about your friends, what an absolute bugger. Mountain so sorry too about your dad Flowers for you both.

I have mainly watched my children eat on sale Easter Eggs today. The Post Office had them on sale for $4, previously $12. So we bought loads Blush. I am avoiding even looking at them, although I can hear them singing to me.

Archduke · 27/04/2017 11:11

I keep thinking about your chocs as well Hairspray.

I think I'm obsessed.

HairsprayBabe · 27/04/2017 11:27

Archy I'm sorry! They were just so pretty I had to show them off!
Didn't make the white choc ones last night, didnt want to make a load of mess again!

Have had to box them up and hide them away to avoid snaffling them all up!

At MILs for dinner, no idea what I will have either fish or omelette I assume though!

BitOutOfPractice · 27/04/2017 12:34

Chard I could cry for you Sad

QuimReaper · 27/04/2017 13:10

Holy shit Chard! Shock That is absolutely awful, I am so terribly sorry for you - what a horrible shock, and how sad that it spoiled your amazing holiday. Obviously it wouldn't have been any better if it had happened once you were back, but it must seem like insult to injury.

BOOP 11.1 is amazing! You've caught up Hairspray, weren't you saying a few weeks ago that she'd outstripped you?

Jet lag is actually working in my favour today. Yesterday we fell asleep as soon as we got home, at about 8am NY time (1pm UK time); I guess I slept through what my body would think was breakfast and lunchtime, and then when I woke up I wasn't hungry. Didn't get hungry until about midnight (7pm NY time) so basically barely ate anything since getting on the plane, and am having a fast day today, so should be able to manage two consecutive fast days. Score!

Although on the last day I did have moules frites, wine and chocolate mousse for lunch, then more wine to toast the end of the visit with my friend, then McDonalds in the airport, then half a tray of pasta on the plane (which I literally only ate because it was in front of me Hmm) and more wine throughout the night, so I probably ate enough to sustain me til May Blush

I'm contemplating braving a weigh-in tomorrow morning, so I know where I'm at for May. Eeek.

QuimReaper · 27/04/2017 13:11

Getting off the plane that should say. I may not have eaten much in the air, but I drank the free wine like a champ.

Chard! What the? How are you feeling about it all. At least it's getting worked on? Flowersand gentle hugs.
Quim I am glad you drank the free wine. I'd have been upset if you didn't. Smile

I'm trying to be good today. There are cakes. They look nice. Shock

FreeNiki · 27/04/2017 15:06

Chard SadFlowers

Thinking of you

ponygirlcurtis · 27/04/2017 16:40

Jeezo Chard, that sounds just awful. As disappointing as it is that the holiday was affected, the important thing is that you are getting treatment. Flowers for you.

No BOOP, not my wedding - it's actually my DS1's dad's wedding, we are good friends now and both me and DS2 are going, as are my parents! But obviously lots of his family will be there - all of whom I am very fond of but most probably think of me as being big. Last time I saw some of them I would have been around size 20 and a proper barrel. So I would really like to look good. Not outshine the bride good, but pretty damn good.

BitOutOfPractice · 27/04/2017 16:57

Oh I see pony! And yes I totally get the desire to look great. I'm sure you will. What size are you now? I bet they will be so shocked. Grin

Stellar67 · 27/04/2017 18:46

Pony that sounds bloody great. Please put up a pic of you in all your finery.

Squiffy01 · 27/04/2017 19:24

chard I am so so sorry to read that! And awful that it ruined your holiday!
Big, very gentle, hugs!
