niki I've always dreamed about fitness or weight loss retreats. Still haven't got around to doing one.
I worry about spending so much money and feeling so deprived that as soon a I'm home I ruin it.
I need somewhere that does food, fitness and some sort of therapy to try and sort out why all day do is lose and gain weight but that would be expensive.

I've been not golden but maybe bronze. So much better than I was doing but still room for improvement.
Have classes booked at the gym tomorrow night to help keep me in line.

Have any of you lovely ones been to South Africa, DH and I looking at going in July but everyone I mention it to does the ohhh you can't go there it is so dangerous now. Which is making me doubt slightly.

11.3 was silver yesterday very good on calories but did no exercise.

I just remembered I have a friend coming for tea tonight and am going out for dinner tomorrow. I do not think this month will be a good one for me.

I've been good and I haven't lost Confused It's disheartening no matter how I try to convince myself to keep going.

Have been walking miles at Dds holiday events & mostly eating well but need to get more organised with taking food. We're often out over mealtimes & I get derailed by the smell of the bacon sandwich van or snaffle a pack of crisps stashed in the lorry. Also struggling to give up the daily wine after a long day out, although I've def cut down. Still bobbing around at only 3lbs lost, so over a stone to go. kids back to school on Monday, planning on getting more hardcore then, summer is getting closer & my wearable wardrobe is diminishing!

Morning. I've lost a measly 2.5lbs in April but I'm just bobbing up and down the same couple of pounds. I'm out for a "bottomless prosecco" cream tea on Saturday. That sounds dangerous. My friend just texted to say "shall we go earlier for a pint?" Shock

I did go to spin last night and actually managed to enjoy it. I think I might have cracked finding something other than running which I like doing.

Golden day here yesterday. Under 800 calories. All good planned for today and an evening run planned - plus a lunchtime walk if the sun comes out

Badminton tonight and if I get away from work on time I will get on treadmill for half an hour first
Big lunch and no dinner yesterday because we were at a concert last night. I was 12st 9 1/2 this morningSmile
Two pancakes later and I'm sure I'm a bit heavier again but at least it was a nice number to see.
Low alcohol weekend ahead so hopefully I'll see some benefit

one of the pts at the gym is running the retreat so Id feel comfortable going as I've known him for months and will see him when I return so may keep up.

Ive never been to SA but my friend lived in cape town for 2 years and she didnt mention being on the receiving end of violence. She would certainly have told me. She spoke highly of it and travelled around while there. Go for it.

Golden day today - veg and hummous wrap and brown pasta with spinach and spicy tomato sauce and a 10k run but I'm SO HUNGRY. I need to be good as away for the weekend back home Grin and can't wait but I will be generously fed Blush

Niki, iirc your BMI is 25 and you exercise a lot. Don't knock yourself for missing one day at the gym! As for the late 30s and single bit - so what? I bet you don't look old either. Plenty of people meet partners over 40.

I have been single from 24-38 save for a few short lived things and most cheated.

I didnt plan on spending life all alone.

i am premenstrual so maybe the hormones talking.

Another gain this week. I'm so over it. Going to look for a WW class cause I clearly can't do it on my own.
Even the gym is against me! The two classes I booked for tonight have be cancelled Angry

Squiffy sometimes changing something can help. Go for it. Don't have any particular plans for the weekend other than try to keep a lid on the eating! Going to a wedding in 2 weeks, would really love to feel fabulous!

I am cooking most of Saturday as I am catering a lunch party on Sunday. Dd is show jumping Sunday so I will be super groom avoiding the bacon rolls again! Off to get haircuts & pencil case top ups today, some prep for Sunday, dd got gallops training then am helping pony club set up for an event they are holding this w/e. No meal planning for me beyond golden morning smoothie & a glass of wine at 6Grin
Roll on Monday & some organisation!
