Spring is Sprung and the Easter bunny is on his way. Let's dodge the chocolate temptations and power our way to 7lbs off this month

Here's a link to the March thread

Archie i Heard about that on the news and thought of you. Thank goodness your Dh is home safe, such tragic news.

Squiffy01 · 18/04/2017 07:12

archthat is just awful. Thinking of you all.

So I'm not quite on my wagon but I can see it in the distance! Pizza last night and nearly finished my very large egg I got Blush but I did go to the gym yesterday! I know! I'm shocked too.
Lunch and dinner packed in my bag and a trip to the gym after work tonight (and DH hiding ALL the chocolate) should see me catch my wagon and find a seat, hopefully it won't collapse.

I paid for the scales in the gym yesterday. It says me 3kg heavier 😭 And does anyone know what fat % you are supposed to be?

Hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend!

HairsprayBabe · 18/04/2017 07:17

11.1 not too bad considering... back on it now... although it is my mums birthday, so there may well be cake later ShockCake

Archduke · 18/04/2017 08:11

Thanks you sweet things xxxx

I'm just back from a 6km run. I am just getting back into running and downloaded this book to listen to whilst getting my mojo back.

She has rather a no-bullshit attitude which I'm finding rather bracing. Can recommend.

Oof! Head is a bit sore. Rather fab night out in London last night involving a show, dinner, and much much wine. The scales are not happy with me st all. Dry week and back on it this week. 10 days till I go away

Enjoyed a majorly decadent Sunday/ Monday! Back on it properly now

ponygirlcurtis · 18/04/2017 17:54

What a dreadful tragedy Arch - Flowers for you all. Can imagine everyone is reeling. Fantastic amount of money raised though.

I have been more focused over the last couple of days and I am about 1lb away from my previous below-11st weight. Going to KOKO and I will get there. Smile

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 18/04/2017 19:29

Lovely to hear from you Quim! Hope you are enjoying Vermont.

Hope you feel better soon Chard Flowers

Archduke glad to have you back but what an awful thing to have happened on your DH's race. It must be horrible for everyone involved.

I am slowly getting back on the wagon. Managed a fast day today. 585 calories, would have been less but some particularly evil colleagues of mine brought their leftover Easter chocolate into work and two (small, thankfully) eggs found their way into my mouth somehow.

lastqueenofscotland · 18/04/2017 21:41

Arch I missed your post... that's awful Sad

I managed the most golden day!
Wholemeal wrap with a thin smear of hummous, salad leaves and mixed peppers
Did 20000 steps inc a 7 mile run then had roasted med veg and chickpeas for dinner.

Have the same lunch planned tomorrow, a 5k run and an abs class at the gym with sweet potato and spinach Dahl for dinner.

Archduke · 19/04/2017 00:27

Bloody hell Lastqueen that's running is brilliant. I attempted a run on the beach yesterday and got bitten by something (probably an ant but told the kids it was a SHARK). My toe is now super swollen and itchy as hell.

Well done on the golden days.

The Run Fat Bitch Run book had an interesting take on weight loss. Basically her point is that you need to just RUN (well she is selling a running book). Exercise is the way to get your head into gear about eating right. If we think that we're on a diet, then it's our natural assumption that this is short term and time limited. So the trick is to just RUN and then everything slots into place. Or something like that.

Also we need to accept that running, being fit and losing weight is bloody hard work and takes EFFORT. But it's totally worth it. IT WILL NOT BE EASY.

Sorry for shouting but this made sense to me.

I'm almost at my goal weight but I still have a fat stomach, I clearly need to run more but also start doing some ghastly ab exercises :(

HairsprayBabe · 19/04/2017 08:08

All I ate yesterday was carbs, 11.4 with AF around the corner...

I am pants!

BitOutOfPractice · 19/04/2017 08:33

Morning morning!

Queenie you are a machine!

Archie that makes sense to me. If I'm exercising I am much less likely to want to blow my goldenness by eating the wrong things.

I had a very boozy weekend and was a kilo up on the scales last night though AF has arrived this morning so that explains some of that. I have my food mostly planned today and a spin class booked at 6pm which I must actually go to Blush

Morning! Back on the wagon today, a horrendous 6lbs up on last Wed, grr! I drove the length of England yesterday, though, and am really dehydrated, so I'm glugging water and hoping for the whoosh fairy to visit overnight. I didn't eat ridiculously, but I did drink a lot. 1200 cal day planned for today and fast tomorrow. It is exactly 1 month until my sister's wedding now, so I need to get rid of this 6lbs and shed another half stone on top of that sharpish.

Arch, lovely to see you back but I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's friend.

Chard, Flowers hope you feel better soon! What a shame!

ponygirlcurtis · 19/04/2017 10:22

I totally agree Arch - I see running as therapy rather than exercise. The health benefits come as a second priority, any weight loss that comes is a bonus!

Cheddar I think you will see it off pretty quickly - lots of water is like magic sometimes!

TVHubbyClaire · 19/04/2017 10:40

I was 12st 11 again this morning, Easter weekend resulted in a fair bit of booze and food on Sunday so not totally surprised.

I really want to lose 3 Lindas and be below 12st 10 for a while.

I am now doing a 10k on 14th May and havent run for months, I'm hoping the pressure will get me into running gear and hitting the pavement.....Hmm

BitOutOfPractice · 19/04/2017 10:57

You do realise 14th May is only 3 and a bit weeks away TV Shock

Softpebbles · 19/04/2017 12:45

Go TV!

Well done last. 😊

I'm also premenstrual -why does our bodies crave such bad stuff when we are premenstrual. Grrrr

I'm not weighing until next week!

HairsprayBabe · 19/04/2017 12:47

Miso and stick of cheese for lunch, the 20g kids lunchbox portions are fab for a speedy lchf bite in a hurry!

I have the "little moo's" ones atm, although I am not adverse to a cheese string or babybel!

ponygirlcurtis · 19/04/2017 12:57

I have just discovered cheese strings, Hairspray. Grin

TVHubbyClaire · 19/04/2017 13:17

BOOP yes...a bit of a worry, concert tonight and badminton tomorrow night so really 3 weeks of prep for runSad

Oh god my bad taste joke has killed the thread. Of course I didn't think just how bad taste it was with Archie's news. I do apologise SadBlush

ponygirlcurtis · 19/04/2017 23:14

I didn't see it BOOP, whatever it was I am sure no-one would take it the wrong way. (I am constantly putting my foot in it and saying just the exact wrong thing.)

Archduke · 19/04/2017 23:23

I didn't see it BOOP, and don't mind me I am queen of the inappropriate joke Grin
