Aw Wench I feel your pain. I haven't been as committed to this as I should have been and the odd biscuit here and there turns into 4 or 5 biscuits, so as a result I don't lose anything.

Happy I am also back on it with a vengeance now. I caught sight of myself in our big mirror last night and although I recognised my face, my body was so lumpy and fat, I just didn't look like me Sad

The weather is due to be nice after the bank holiday and I want to be able to wear clothes that are summery, not my usual jeans and jumpers.

Today I've had tea, actimel and cornflakes for breakfast (weighed out 30g of cornflakes!). Lunch was 2 pieces of cheese on toast and tea. Dinner will be pork chops, sweet potato fries and veg.

Wenchelda · 30/04/2017 19:20

Happy and Millie - you're both right about the treats ... I'd be much better off not having any biscuits because as soon as I've had one, it's all too easy for it to turn into several. I'm really not sure I can give up my daily flavoured latte though! plus I have sugar free syrup so it's ok

Today I've done lots of walking so this has kept me under my allowance. We've been at a birthday party this afternoon where there was lots of left over party food offered to the adults and I managed to resist it all Halo

I've also written myself a list of acceptable breakfasts, lunches and snacks which I'm hoping will help. I meal plan for evening meals but never managed to do it to include breakfast and lunches as I never know what I'm going to fancy. But I think having a list to choose from of things that are acceptable will be more helpful than just following what my taste buds fancy, which too easily ends up in calorific things!

Today I've had :

B- scrambled egg, 2 rashers of grilled bacon; tea
L- coffee; tuna pasta with extra veg; small bag of wotsits
D - spaghetti hoops on seeded toast.
S - hot choc at bedtime.

MillieMoodle · 30/04/2017 21:51

Ok so dinner was a Chinese takeaway Blush but I didn't have loads and I haven't had any snacks today. Still suffering with my back so have taken loads of painkillers which make me very sleepy. Hoping for a decent night's sleep tonight so that I don't get the munchies tomorrow!

DS1 keeps referring to me as "fat mummy"; he thinks it's hilarious that my stomach is still so wobbly when DS2 is now 7 months old. So if nothing else he might fat shame me into eating less! Blush

Bibs2014 · 01/05/2017 20:12

Hey everyone! I've been reading but not posting. Been hanging around on these carb boards and have lost 3lbs this week! I'm the lightest I've been since we started the challenge before Xmas 😂

MillieMoodle · 02/05/2017 07:03

Well done bibs.

I am back to 11st 7lbs again, not sure how as have been quite good this weekend. Obviously not as good as I thought!

Actimel, tea and 2 slices of wholemeal toast with butter for breakfast this morning. Lunch will be salad and dinner will probably be spag Bol and broccoli.

My back is better than it was, so hopefully I will be able to move around more now than I could over the weekend.

DH has decided that he also wants to lose a bit of weight before the summer so hopefully that will make it easier not to snack at home.

Flashinthepan · 02/05/2017 13:10

Hello all. I'm back up at 10 st 7, so I have gone nowhere! I have been exercising lots, so I think I have been snacking too much/portions too large.

Back on it today, and really really desperate to see a change. Have lost 1/2 inch off hips though, so the exercise is obviously doing something!

Flashinthepan · 03/05/2017 09:19

Good day yesterday and it will be a good day today! Weighed in this morning and back at 10 st 5, so hoping 10 st 7 was a blip!

B: greek yoghurt and fruit compote.
L: small portion of homemade moussaka and salad
D: french onion soup and beetroot, carrot and feta salad
S: apple and grapes.

2 mile run and JM ripped in 30.

Wenchelda · 03/05/2017 14:00

Mid-week weigh this morning showed a measly 1/4lb less than Sunday which is a bit disheartening as I've been within my calorie allowance all week so far. Ah well at least there's a little bit of movement it's heading in the right direction. I've been really busy getting painting & decorating and gardening done the last few days so that has got me moving more than usual and burnt some extra calories.

Food today -
B - tea & a banana
L - latte; 2 grilled bacon, 1/2 avocado, mushrooms, egg (whites only)
S - tea, lentil crisps
D - pork chops, roast potatoes, veg

happypoobum · 03/05/2017 20:10

My mid week weigh in shows 11:4 which I am bloody delighted with. Have been very strict though. Didn't even eat any of the executive biscuits at my meeting today Halo

Notsoskinnyminny · 04/05/2017 07:40

Midweek weigh in and I've lost the 2lb weekend gain same as last week and every other week

More drama here as XFIL has passed away but no-one told DS he was back in hospital despite him texting all the time and then texting his GM last week asking how he was as he hadn't had a reply. The excuse was both mobiles were broke but she managed to phone when he was at work to break the news that he'd died the night before. Poor lad is beating himself up for not visiting him in hospital as other GCs were at his bedside and I can't get through to him that it's not his fault and plenty of others could've contacted him if GMs phone really was broken

MillieMoodle · 04/05/2017 13:12

Sorry to hear things are rough again Notso 💐

11st 6lbs this morning. Have ANOTHER cold so feeling terrible again. DS2 also has a cold so we are being grumpy together. Usually when I have a cold I give up on the weight loss and fill myself up with junk, which is what I was going to do this time. But sitting here all snotty I have decided that it's not just about weight loss, I need to start filling my body with healthy food much more than I do. Let's hope the motivation to do that works for me and that I'll get fewer colds too and have more energy as well as losing weight.

Today I've had:

B: two slices of wholemeal toast with butter, tea, actimel.
S: fruit scone, clotted cream and jam, latte. (This was before my healthy eating revelation!).
L: carrot and cucumber sticks with houmous (I don't know how to spell it, sorry!). Glass of water with soluble Vitamin C & zinc supplement.

Dinner will be omelette, sweet potato fries and salad.

Notsoskinnyminny · 05/05/2017 07:00

Poor you millie when my DCs were little I went through a period of catching everything and my GP recommended acidophilus to put all the good bacteria back in my body but I think what I really needed was a week of good sleep.

MillieMoodle · 05/05/2017 09:20

Notso I think that's it - a week of uninterrupted sleep would be bliss. I haven't had that for over 6 years! I have actimel every day as the doctor recommended it when I had my last stretch where my immune system failed completely. DS1 was 2 and I had cold after cold, which always became sinusitis, for 6 months non stop. It was very draining.

I've cut caffeine out since being pregnant with DS2 (apart from the lattes which I think I'm going to give up as well); it's helped a bit, I tend to have a bit more energy now. Have been up to Tesco this morning and got some hair, skin and nails supplements to take alongside the vit c & zinc. The doctor also recommended doing more exercise but I really struggle to find the time; DH isn't very helpful round the house or with the DC so pretty much everything falls to me.

I will have a look into acidophilus though, thank you!

Had Chinese takeaway for tea as felt too rough to cook, but didn't eat loads of it. Have had actimel, tea and two slices of wholemeal toast with butter for breakfast.

MillieMoodle · 06/05/2017 11:06

Yesterday was a bit rubbish too but I am over the worst of my cold now so am back on it. Am using my UP band for the first time in ages and logged back into MFP to start recording properly again.

Had actimel, tea and 2 weetabix with semi skimmed milk for breakfast. Not sure what will be for lunch or dinner yet!

happypoobum · 06/05/2017 11:46

Weighed in

11:3 so that's a 2lb loss this week. Very pleased.

I have been eating a lot of fish and cutting back on bread which is just a weekend treat now. Had two slices of toast for breakfast today. Will probably have soup for lunch and salmon with stir fry veg for dinner.

I have discovered some lovely Rolo layered mousse thingies that only have 80 calories a pot.

Keep going everyone!

Notsoskinnyminny · 06/05/2017 12:17

I've stayed the same so just under 9.6

Happy those puddings are delicious - I buy them for DS but always pinch 1. My latest pudding treat is frozen mixed berries and strawberries with a layered weightwatchers fromage frais and a broken up meringue nest - I can kid myself it's Eton mess Grin

Wenchelda · 07/05/2017 07:52

Morning all. Official weigh in this morning at 9st 9.5 - so a pound less than last week but I'm a bit disappointed as midweek I was 9st 8.5 and have stuck to my calorie allowance all week so not sure where that regained lb has come from Confused

I'm now down to 7.5weeks until my "deadline" and want to get as near to 9st as poss so I could really do without extra lbs sneaking up on me! On the plus side I saw my MIL for the first time in a few weeks yesterday and the first thing she said to me was "wow you've lost a lot of weight" Grin it's the first time anyone has commented on it so I'm glad that it must finally be noticeable!!

SmellTheGlove · 07/05/2017 07:55

notso I made fake Eton mess last night. Sadly I followed it up with 6 biscuits so could have just had the real thing!
I am still 3 and three quarter pounds up post USA. having trouble getting back into the zone. Had lost a pound but went bit crazy last night with biscuit binge. Got my period though and generally feeling bleugh so am eating too much. Maybe I need to go for a long walk today if weather okay rather than sit watching TV and snacking (DH going out with DS and DSS). Today is going to be a willpower tester I can tell already!

MillieMoodle · 07/05/2017 18:53

Well done Wench that's fab!

I am over the worst of my cold now so trying to get back on the healthy eating again. Had actimel, tea and 2 weetabix for breakfast. Lunch was a roast dinner cooked by MIL, followed by apple pie and cream. Am still full from that so won't bother with dinner! Step count isn't very good for today but we've had a busy day.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend Smile

Flashinthepan · 08/05/2017 13:11

I'm back at 10st 7! I just seem to bounce between 10.5 and 10.7. I am still exercising a lot, so I really need to be more disciplined with snacking and portions. Grrrr! Losing weight used to be so easy!

MillieMoodle · 08/05/2017 17:13

Right. DPs are going away tomorrow for two weeks. I have seen them today and my aim is to have lost enough by the time I see them again, for them to notice! So I've got just over two weeks to ideally lose about 5lbs. It's tough but I'm feeling determined!

Have found some daily exercises to do which are meant to help diastasis recti, which I think I might have after having DS2. He's almost 8 months and I've still got a huge belly but not massive everywhere else. I'm a very odd shape at the moment! Also am going to do 5k on the bike each day and try to get out for a walk with the pushchair if the weather is good. I can do this!

MillieMoodle · 10/05/2017 10:57

Have been quite good the last couple of days, no snacks and have moved a bit more too. Have started taking a hair, skin and nails supplement and have felt much happier and more energetic already. Not sure whether that's the placebo effect or whether they're actually making a difference already. Haven't weighed again as is TOTM (again!) so am bloated and wobbly.

How is everyone else doing?

happypoobum · 10/05/2017 17:23

I have been really norty today, no idea why.

I have eaten two chocolate biscuits Blush And half a scotch egg!!!! This is in addition to my meals so very norty indeed. I will try to have a sensible dinner.

Wenchelda · 10/05/2017 21:52

Well I think I'm doing ok ... seem to have been within my calorie allowance every day and had a couple of days where I've done loads more steps than usual so that's helped. Meant to do midweek weigh in this morning but forgot so will see if I remember tomorrow!

MillieMoodle · 10/05/2017 21:58

Well done Wench. I am trying to resist a midweek weigh in this week!

Have been good today; 2 pieces of wholemeal toast with butter and jam for breakfast with tea and actimel. Ham sandwich for lunch. Chicken rogan josh (not takeaway!) for dinner with 1/2 a naan bread. Just had two Jaffa cakes as a reward but still way under my calories for the day. Have done 11,000 ish steps too.

MFP tells me if I keep it up I'll have lost 10lbs in 5 weeks; let's hope so! Have decided I will see where I am in 5 weeks and then up the exercise if I'm not where I want to be!
