I'm with Quim, BOOP and Hairspray I could happily not exercise if I could get slim and fit (ha ha) by controlling food in the way I have been doing this year.

Going to weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed......

TVHubbyClaire · 07/03/2017 11:40

lasty - WELL DONE YOU

thats fabulous, do a happy dance!!

Archduke · 07/03/2017 11:41

YAYYYYYYYYYYY

Well done Queeny

HairsprayBabe · 07/03/2017 11:45

Lasty that is FAB news! Good on you!
Break out the Cake it is calorie free!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 07/03/2017 11:49

Well done Last!

Ah see I would also rather exercise and then eat whatever I want. I love food I don't hate all kinds of exercise, it's win-win (ish)

lastqueenofscotland · 07/03/2017 12:08

I had to leave the office to sob happy tears into a coffee with a friend

BitOutOfPractice · 07/03/2017 13:01

Oh Lasty that's such brilliant news! Very well done!!!

Should I not be wearing a bikini then? You've all made me doubt myself.

Arsey I would be happy like you if I could run 5 miles a day and not have to worry about food too much. I don't have the time at moment. When my DC are old enough to both get on a bus to go to school I keep thinking I could run to work which is 4 miles away. We have showers at work.
Anyway I timidly weighed myself today, having been away for weekend enjoying lots of lovely food and wine, and I'm slightly less weight than when I weighed on Friday. Am wondering how long it takes for food to convert to fat though?? This could be one advantage to my body maintaining a v steady weight over the last year??

Softpebbles · 07/03/2017 13:38

Well done lasty :)

God BOOP don't doubt wearing a bikini - I did last year, felt conscious but I am glad I did.

I am also awaiting a whoosh.

So after yesterdays run and long walk last night my thighs are killing me - was going to go today but I have a PT training session tomorrow and don't want to ruin it! Is this normal? I think it is because I've not ran for so long my body is paying for it!!

I like exercise it feels good after doing it I just struggle to fit in with working nearly full time, the DC's, dog, running a house - need more energy and time!

Hoping for a loss on the scales tomorrow.......

HairsprayBabe · 07/03/2017 13:43

I wore a bikini last year at 15st plus! Didn't think I looked too awful, but I look a damn sight better now!

I think MIL is making a low carb curry for dinner. If I don't lose tomorrow I will be really sad, I can't believe I went up a pound! I don't even know where it came from SadSadSad and I have just been grumpily stewing on it all day!

lastqueenofscotland · 07/03/2017 14:09

I've eaten the FATTEST slice of cake as a celebration but sod it

HairsprayBabe · 07/03/2017 14:48

Tell me about your Cake cake Lasty I want to live vicariously!

FreeNiki · 07/03/2017 15:03

Well done queen!

I had a horrible migraine yesterday. So i blew off the gym today and am gorging on starbucks lattes and almond croissants.

This is dangerous territory.

lastqueenofscotland · 07/03/2017 15:28

Hairspray

Red velvet, buttercream icing and chocolate between the layers. Only about 900000 calories I'd imagine Blush

ArseyTussle · 07/03/2017 15:40

Bravo Last! So, this means you can leave London and live oop north somewhere?

Stellar67 · 07/03/2017 15:47

Well done Last! Is this you going to find your journey north easier?

I'm debating going to class tonight or having a bath with the door locked and earphones in. (One of those days)

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 07/03/2017 15:48

Ooooh, lasty, that sounds divine. Congratulations on the new job!

BOOP, wear the bikini! I wore a series of carefully chosen bikinis last year at 10 stone 3 (6lbs over a healthy BMI) after 3 babies, 2 CS and muchos stretchmarks. You are only 2lbs over a healthy BMI so there will be no issue - and I expect your tummy looks better than mine!

Arsey, one of my major grumps at the moment is that it is bloody hard to fit in sufficient exercise around work and small children. I don't lose anything much at all without exercise and it drives me mad, because although I actually like exercise, I struggle to find a good slot for it. Ignore children when I come home at 6.15pm and do a DVD? Put children to bed at 7.30ish, spend 45 minutes trying to get them both to shut up and stay in their bedrooms and then exercise? Have dinner at about 9pm? I can't do it - the whole bedtime routine makes me stabby as it is (because DS is being a 2yo horror demanding 19 toys that you can't locate to take to bed, and DD keeps coming back through for spurious reasons after being put to bed) without factoring in being hungry/trying to get on with exercise. Eat when I get in, then do bedtime, then try to motivate myself to start exercising at about 8pm? What do you all do? I need to leave by 6.45am to be on time - is the answer to get up at 5 and exercise then?

I'm lucky at the moment Cheddar, because both me and DP are self-employed, and whilst that frequently makes for palpitation-inducing cash flow issues it does mean we're not really chained to a 9 to 5. So DP does lots of school drops whilst I run. I only do it every other day, the couple of times I'd run on consecutive days I've felt on the brink of injury.

BitOutOfPractice · 07/03/2017 16:42

Cheddar I doubt very much my stomach looks better than yours. 2 sections and lots of stretch marks also. It is the part of my body I loathe the most. Though there are others that gone close Confused

ponygirlcurtis · 07/03/2017 17:14

Fantastic news last! Damn well enjoy that cake, you will be on such a high today that it will all burn off anyway!

BOOP you better go for that bikini or stern words will be had. You will look fabulous.

I also have v little opportunity to exercise and I miss it. I tend to view it separately to my weight loss, it's more for my general health and my emotional wellbeing. I can't wait for summer when I will be able to get back to the gym and get back to running slowly.

Millie04 · 07/03/2017 18:42

Cheddar When my children were younger I used to work 30 hours a week over 5 days and I used to schedule a swim in twice a week during lunch hours when my Mum picked up children.
My children are 9 and 12 now but I work 37 hours a week! It is still a point of contention! I try one swim at lunchtime and 2 runs hopefully when kids are at their after school clubs so I don't feel guilty about missing out on parenting time.
My conclusion is that I will be a very fit pensioner if I am able to maintain my motivation to run etc in 20 years time as I will have the freedom to exercise whenever I want to!

BitOutOfPractice · 07/03/2017 20:28

Come ON scales ffs! Stayed the same AGAIN Angry

Squiffy01 · 07/03/2017 20:46

last well done!!! Do you start straight away?

I struggle to fit exercise in as well. I'm already up at 6:10 to get ready and out the door for work and then I don't get home until 7:30/8 by which time I'm starving and want dinner straight away.

Am I lazy for not being able wanting to get up at 5 to fit something in? I just can't ever make myself do it the few times I've set the alarm I snooze it and go back to sleep Blush by the time the weekend rolls around in so exhausted from work I can't face going to the gym. But I do need to do something.

My goal of a healthy week before Venice on Friday is really not happening Sad

lastqueenofscotland · 07/03/2017 22:59

Squiffy I start next month.

Did not have a golden day today but back on it 100% tomorrow
