I'm just within the healthy weight range, but would love to lose 15lbs as that is where I felt best. Ideally I'd like to lose 1 lb per week, and be at my goal weight by Summer as we are planning a beachieve holiday - but mainly I just want to feel and look better as I haven't been taking care of myself lately. I will weigh myself every Sunday.
Today's weight: 9st4lbs (130lbs)
Goal weight: 8st3lbs (115lbs)
Lbs to go: 15

Anyone like to join?

Finally have lost 2lbs! Has taken 3 weeks to get this far. Probably spoilt it all now with birthday and Mother's day celebrations. Had the most wicked chocolate cheesecake that I think has put me off sugar for life!
Back to zumba and swimming!

PugwallsSummer · 26/03/2017 20:46

Gah! Terrible day, as planned! Feeling bad now though Blush

B: sausages in a white roll
L/D slow roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and swede & carrot mash. Cherry pie & custard for desert
S: Mother's Day chocolates - lots of

W: 1 litre (plus several proseccos!!)
E: none

Had a lovely day with family though so I will try not to dwell on the horrific volume of calories!!

Back on it tomorrow - 9.7 here I come!

Flashinthepan · 27/03/2017 08:15

Terrible weekend food wise although lots of fun. But got a park run on of 28.56!

clematisflower · 27/03/2017 12:01

Well done to everyone losing this week, and to you on the park run flash!
Welcome redpony
I didn't weigh yesterday, but I did try on some of my old size 12 shorts and they fitted GrinGrin. I need to lose a bit more from my thighs to make them look good, but I am very pleased to be able to do them up!

I'm not as strict as most of you with food, but am still off chocolate for lent and exercising most days, so feel I'm doing ok. Target for Easter is 10 st, 2lb to go.

PugwallsSummer · 27/03/2017 20:16

Today:

B: banana
L: 2 rice cakes with marmite

Have a consultation with a new hairdresser tomorrow morning - want to have balayage blonde. Starting to feel better about my appearance.

Flashinthepan · 29/03/2017 10:50

Yesterday was a good day food wise.
B: Banana with greek yoghurt
L: Homemade quesadilla with sweet potato, coriander and feta.
D: Kale and mushroom lasagne.
S: king prawns with thousand island dip; grapes.

No exercise as I've hurt my back. Hoping to walk 2 miles home from work today, but might have to call it off and get a cab.

Flashinthepan · 29/03/2017 10:51

Today's food is basically the same, but dinner will be homemade burger with caramelized onion and feta with homemade potato wedges and vegetables.

Thingsgettingstranger · 29/03/2017 15:52

I think I may start using MFP. Since I last posted has been a disaster Sad I go too strict then binge then too strict then eat lots of crap. I think MFP will be good for me, because then I know I can still have treats but lose, but not go too far. Glad everyone else is doing well, proud of you all!

I find MFP helps things, it kind of keeps me in check a bit as it's there in black and white so to speak.

I go over quite a bit some days but most days am able to stay under.

Main thing that sends me over is booze!

maybebebe · 29/03/2017 18:35

Hello everyone, am I too late to join?

I would like to loose 15 kgs - which is over 2 stone - although ideally I should try to loose a bit more. I am just under 170cm, which is 5'7 I guess.

Equally importantly, I need to get into a routine for regular exercise. I don't like gyms, I wasted a whole year of membership fees a couple of years ago, I am not doing it again. I am going to start with joining classes on fee per visit.

I can see I am sharing a lot of habits you guys used to have, namely snacking a lot, having unreasonably large portions, and lacking exercisely. I need a group of like minded people to keep me on the straight and narrow!

maybebebe · 29/03/2017 18:37

And I just thought - I really need some inspiration for healthy meals for the whole family. We are not too bad, but I am stuck in a rut of the same 5 dishes and need some quality gastronomic (and not too difficult execution-wise) excitment! I cannot possibly cook different dishes for them and for me.

littlemissM92 · 29/03/2017 19:30

Probably a silly question but what does mpf stand for x

PugwallsSummer · 29/03/2017 20:22

Welcome may!

Today:

B: weetabix with honey, an apple
L: chicken fajita flatbread
D: jacket potato with cheese, sliced banana & yoghurt for pudding

W: 2 liters
E: long walk with pram

clematisflower · 29/03/2017 21:12

mfp = my fitness pal

Hi May
I'd also like to hear others healthy family meal ideas, as we don't have time to cook two different things either.

Our usual meals:
stir fry - chicken, veg, noodles, (chinese 5 spice/lemon/soy sauce/coriander for flavour)
salmon with pesto, veg, jacket potato or chips
spaghetti bolognaise (5% fat beef, lots of veg, wholewheat spaghetti)
steak with veg, jacket potato or chips
pork chops and roasted veg
curry (usually chicken) - I find it difficult to get enough veg in a curry!

Looking back at the list, I think I need to add in more fish meals and maybe more egg based things too.

food today:
B:porridge with blueberries
L:feta,butternut squash, avacodo salad
D:spaghetti bolognaise, pear
snacks: two biscuits, two rice cakes with peanut butter, apple

E: 3K cycle and 1 hour pilates

maybebebe · 30/03/2017 03:40

We have a very close menu Clematis! Our usual food is:

stir fry chicken, veg, noodles with egg and coriander (soy sauce)
salmon with pesto, basmati rice, fresh cucumber
pasta with meatballs (basically same as bolognaise, only my dd loves meatball shapes)
veggie pasta with olives, sunblushed tomatoes, basil, parmesan and mozzarella flakes
warm salad with loads of fried king prawns in garlic and boiled eggs cut in quarters, avocado (dressing olive oil, honey, lemon juice, salt)
very rarely - fillet steak, mash, steamed veggies (carrots and beans or broccoli)

clematisflower · 30/03/2017 13:59

Sorry my menu didn't help you with many new ideas, May! Also remembered casserole and fajitas, sure there's more I've forgotten.
Think I'll do rice with salmon from now on - not sure why I didn't think of that before! I like your idea of warm salad, not sure if the troops will go for it - worth a try Grin

The body coach seems to have nice recipies, but I've not tried any yet.

Thingsgettingstranger · 30/03/2017 16:19

Hi May Smile

I'm officially starting tomorrow so hoping it goes well. Ds's 17th birthday today so celebrating with lots of food and going out etc. Will check in again tomorrow.

OP posts:
maybebebe · 30/03/2017 18:45

I am also starting tomorrow or on Saturday, things! Just recovering from a cold, don't want to start cutting down the portions and the exercise when still on the mend. And 1st of April is an awesome day to start, dont you think?

Ah, dont say anything clematis I guess those all are really very easy-to-execute, fool-proof and reliable dishes, so we probably all cook them.

Just remembered - I must try for the guys here to get back into quinoa, I actually rather liked it, but the others didnt at all.

PugwallsSummer · 30/03/2017 19:48

I don't know what's wrong with me today, I'm so bloated I look about 7 months pregnant again. Having some horrid stomach cramps too. Feeling generally bleurgh.

Weigh-in day for me tomorrow. Not holding out much hope as I have stepped on the scales a couple of times this week & not seen a loss.

TitcHt48 · 01/04/2017 19:36

Sorry I am fair new on here. I don't know where to ask question so just posted it on any. I wonder if ANY ONE will help me by telling how will I know someone has been kind enuf to reply I.e. Where do I look for reply please thank you x

littlemissM92 · 01/04/2017 20:20

Well today has been awful.. finished dechox don't think I need to say anymore! Going to be better tomorrow

PugwallsSummer · 01/04/2017 21:19

I maintained this week, so still 9st10. Disappointed.

robinia · 02/04/2017 00:34

Struggling also to make any further headway. Made it down to 10st 9 at one point but currently at 10st 13. At least it's below the 11st mark and still nearly a stone and a half below what I started at. But really want to get to 10st 7 or less.
Finding it harder to be strict and doing less exercise than before - I take part in a competitive sport and there are just fewer matches at the moment, I've not been deliberately ducking out. I think I find it easier not to eat when I am busier.
