I'm just within the healthy weight range, but would love to lose 15lbs as that is where I felt best. Ideally I'd like to lose 1 lb per week, and be at my goal weight by Summer as we are planning a beachieve holiday - but mainly I just want to feel and look better as I haven't been taking care of myself lately. I will weigh myself every Sunday.
Today's weight: 9st4lbs (130lbs)
Goal weight: 8st3lbs (115lbs)
Lbs to go: 15

Anyone like to join?

Suppose I'll find out when I weigh next week when there's no period in sight!

Flashinthepan · 11/05/2017 09:58

Littlemiss at least it's a change in the right direction!

My understanding is that you are heavier just before/during your period because of water retention, which is what can make you look/feel bloated. I can often feel great about myself one day, then the next look and think god I'm obese!

Today:
B: porridge with dried fruit
L: homemade moussaka (half mince, half sprouted beans, plus all the other yummy stuff)
D: leek, bacon and mushroom frittata
S: banana and grapes

E: 2 mile run

I'm also going to try and drink less tea (although I only have skimmed milk and no sugar, and it's decaf) and more water!

Flashinthepan · 11/05/2017 10:00

Lexicon that has been my problem. Eating some kind of junk everyday, often throughout the day! I was in denial as my meals were healthy and not huge. But I'm trying to be restrained. I made myself some pitta chips as a snack last night. I find the less sugar I eat, the more I crave savoury food.

PugwallsSummer · 11/05/2017 21:22

Love the hairy bikers diet book lexicon

Today:

B: banana & nectarine
S: satsuma
L: Rivita with lightest Philadelphia, another satsuma
D: grilled chicken with green salad and 3 medium flat breads, light Greek yoghurt for pudding

W: 2 litres
E: 3 hours full on cleaning

official weigh in tomorrow. Hoping to be within healthy BMI again.

PugwallsSummer · 12/05/2017 08:02

Morning all!

Weighed in at 9st 3 so a 2Ib loss and I'm now in the "healthy" BMI range for my height 👍😀

3Ib to go until I get to my next target of 9st

10Ib to go until I reach my goal weight of 8st 7

I started in January at 11st 6 so the difference is huge - can fit into my size 10 clothes again, and people have commented on my weight loss which feels amazing. I'm also enjoying making an effort with my hair & general appearance again (went off the rails a bit in pregnancy!).

It's within reach now - just need to stay on the wagon!

Flashinthepan · 12/05/2017 09:51

Pug you are doing amazingly well!

I weighed in and flickering between 10st4 and 10st5, so hoping it will be 10st4 proper by Sunday, which would be 2lbs off this week.

I feel like I've finally got into the zone of it. And the exercise will have much more impact now I'm watching my diet more.

Today:
B: porridge with dried fruit
L: leftover frittata and potatoes
D: some sort of meat with vegetables
S: banana and grapes

E: 2 mile walk and JM Ripped in 30 (my legs have been killing me all week!

Foreverlexicon · 12/05/2017 10:04

You guys are doing brilliantly! Well done!

I'm back to my original weight of 11 stone 1 which I'm pleased with as it shot up after last weeks celebrations and being ill.

Yesterday was a good day;
B - 2 weetabix with dried fruit and nuts
L - leftover pork stir fry and mango
D - hairy dieters steak pie, veg and sweet potato fries

Snacks - tiny bit of choc and 2 small yoghurts

E - rode 4 horses and stable chores

I'm going out for dinner tonight for my sisters birthday. I'm driving so no booze and I'm going to attempt to be good but we shall see.

Flashinthepan · 13/05/2017 14:09

Yesterday I had a bit of an indulgent dinner, homemade curry, flat breads and beer! But it was delicious.

Today:
B: boiled eggs and toast soldiers.
L: sandwich or filled flat bread.
D: lamp chops, spinach and peppers with feta and Greek lemon potatoes.
S: none to make up for the carbs yesterday and today.

E: JM ripped in 30 or 5 km run.

Foreverlexicon · 13/05/2017 15:32

Yesterday didn't go too bad in the end with dinner out!

B - toast with peanut butter and an apple
L - was meant to have stir fry again but OH pinched all the pork out of it! So had a cheese and chicken sandwhich, handful crisps and grapes.

Dinner I shared a cambert with my dad for starter. I was a bit stuck with main as everything was either fish, spicey or about £25 so I had a burger but it wasn't very nice so I had about 1/3 max. No pudding and Diet Coke to drink.

Only rode one horse for exercise though. I'm a bit lazy about exercising outside of horses and work so need to work on that. Today I've done nothing but sulk because
my horsebox decided to cost £3000 to go through its MOT!!

Flashinthepan · 14/05/2017 09:48

Weigh in and I've lost 2 lbs. 10 st 5. I feel like I've lost these 2 lbs a lot but I feel much more able to stick to what I've been doing. So FX for another loss by next weekend!

Foreverlexicon · 14/05/2017 10:18

Well done Flash - it's sticking to it long term that's the answer!

I did okay yesterday

I didn't have breakfast,
Lunch was grilled cheese toastie with some crisps and grapes.

Dinner was baked lemon chicken, sweet potato and peas.

Handful of skittles and maltesers for pud as it's the weekend.

Just rode 1 horse for exercise.

robinia · 14/05/2017 10:54

Well done Pug - and everyone else who is still here!
This morning I made it to my 'pigs might fly' 'pipe-dream' target of anything under 10 stone. The joy of stepping on the scales and seeing a 9 there instead of double figures!!
So I have made it from 12st 5 at New Year to 9st 13 today Grin and have a BMI of 22.4.
Got some work to do on my stomach but I am now 95% happy with how I look. Will probably keep going on the current regime a little while longer as it's become fairly easy to do. Maybe allow myself to slip off a bit more at weekends. If my BMI falls to 20 then I'll start eating a bit more.

PugwallsSummer · 14/05/2017 14:41

Amazing robinia! You must be really proud - that's a big achievement! 🍾

Flashinthepan · 14/05/2017 17:19

Well done everyone, and robinia that's amazing.

I'm with you re the stomach. Mine looks flat, but when I move it jiggles up and down. I hate it! I know it's fat wobble because it doesn't matter how much I suck in or hold my stomach muscles it still flobs about!

Flashinthepan · 14/05/2017 22:28

Also, robinia how have you done it?

robinia · 14/05/2017 22:35

Thank you!
Stomach is definitely not flat though much better than it was. I need to get stricter with my exercises.
flash This is what I posted a while back:
^I don't count calories or particularly plan what I eat. What's worked for me so far is completely cutting out fizzy drinks. Then two meals only a day, lunch and dinner - I haven't eaten breakfast for about 10 years anyway. And no snacking except fruit.
Exceptions permitted for nights out. And I eat whatever I want for lunch and dinner and as much as I want.
If I feel hungry between meals I just get a piece of fruit - usually a satsuma or grapes.^
Pretty much what I have stuck to. Drink water or squash. Play lots of tennis - five times a week if I'm lucky though have always played 2-3 times a week.

robinia · 14/05/2017 22:36

Italics fail!!

Foreverlexicon · 15/05/2017 05:47

Brilliant Robinia!! Congratulations that's amazing!

Yesterday;
B - none
L - bit of a picky plate with flalafel, humous, carrot sticks, pickles and crisps and an apple.
D - chicken giros with salad
Some maltesers for pud

Exercise - just rode one horse again. I thought about doing an exercise DVD or something but I managed to maim my back in the night and it was super sore so I didn't.

littlemissM92 · 15/05/2017 08:21

Wow lots of impressive stuff going on here ladies ! I'm 9.9 1/2 this morn really in the zone let's see what damage I can in do my next week x

Flashinthepan · 15/05/2017 15:33

Crappy day today, didn't sleep well and time of the month (ttc for a while so I should be used to it but it always throws me) but not much appetite which is good.

B: banana
L: chicken curry, no rice or anything
D: jacket potato with cheese and vegetables
S: pitta chips and some Oreo thins

E: been for a run and have yoga tonight.

Flashinthepan · 16/05/2017 09:50

Morning all.

Today:
B: greek yoghurt with prunes
L: boiled eggs and sourdugh toast
D: beetroot and feta fritters, leeks, and white fish with moroccan dressing
S: banana; prawns and celery with thousand island dip

E: 2 mile walk, JM ripped in 30.

Flashinthepan · 16/05/2017 09:50

I'm really hoping to see 10 st 3 on the scales by Sunday!

PugwallsSummer · 16/05/2017 18:37

I'll be amazed if you haven't lost a few pounds flash, you're being so healthy with your food and exercise.

I'm hoping to be closer to 9st. Although I've gone back to 3 healthy meals a day as have felt so lethargic and drained skipping breakfast and going VLC.

Today:

B: banana, apple, slice wholemeal toast
L: flatbread with grilled peppers & chicken
D: Cajun chicken with salad & sweet potato chips

W: 1.5 liters
E: walk with pram & school run.

Foreverlexicon · 17/05/2017 05:58

I havnt had the best couple of days as I've been busy and 'out of routine'

Monday I went house shopping near Oxford as potentially moving to be closer to a job I start in the next couple of months.

B - none (not skipping intentionally, just ran out of time!)
L - steak ciabatta with chips and I had a fancy white chocolate and almond ice cream thing but I didn't finish it which counts for something.

Dinner was some weird chicken and rice thing my OH made along with very cheesy fried tortilla wraps and a kinder beanu.

Yesterday was even worse as I was competing my horse. I had late times and a far drive so spent all morning getting ready then competing and didn't get home until 10pm.
I also had a row with my partner so I was in a foul mood, weather was rubbish, I rode like an imbecile and horse wasn't quite right so overall it was a rubbish day!

I had a chocolate croissant, skittles and wheat crunchies for breakfast (healthy Hmm)

And a service station dinner of a steak roll, onion ring crisps, pork pies and biscuits.

I appear to have lost a pound.

Back on it today. Competition days will always have a bit more crap in it as they're my 'fun' days but overall I'm doing better at having proper meals which is my first step!

Flashinthepan · 17/05/2017 07:48

Thanks pug I really hope so. I seemed to get stuck at 10 st 5 for a long time and then went back up, so I'm hoping to go below it this week to spur me on.

Forever sorry you had a bad day. But I think the key is just to accept the crappy things you've eaten and get back on the horse so to speak, which it sounds like you will do, so I'm sure you'll be back on track in no time.

Today:
B: yoghurt and prunes
L: sandwich
D: sausages and veg
S: banana; grapes

E: 2 mile run and JM ripped in 30.

Am doing better at drinking more water. At home I drink loads, but at work I was drinking mainly tea.
