Here's anew thread for Coddy's recruits.

The old thread is here

For the record, I started out (May 19) at 11 stone 2 and am now 10 and a half stone A total loss of 9 pounds

Coddy's potential wrath has been inspirational! Plus of course the support of the rest of you (although the thread does go quiet at times).

thx , WN,...eer here goes ....
got hold of some scales- this morning- 12-9, well nearer 12-10, thats better than the 13 i thought i would be.
GO ON GIVE ME SOME ABUSE!! just help me set up the will power thing that i havent really got, The house is still full of naughties, so I've hidden the childrens choc biscs, and mentally put a lock on the crisp cup'd door, I'm off to eat a bowl of what looks like gravel for breakfast , thought I might take a photo of the dreaded rear & C section overhang to spur me on!(stick it in the fridge during the day whilst dh out- remove it pronto before anyone else comes home!!)

Morning all.
I'm still 10.10 but I'm not too upset about it as the whole family have been down for the weekend celebrating the birth of my delicious new niece. (tortilla chips, hummus, Vietnamese mixed hors d'oeuvres, sweet and sour chicken with rice, ice cream with meringues, champagne, pain au chocolat, bagels, chocolates, chips etc etc)
Starting back on the 'fruit is wonderful' regime today.

Heathcliffscathy · 10/07/2004 12:28

Back to 10 st 8 this morning Wasn't particularly "bad" over the weekend, but probably didin't have nearly enough water.

Back on the wagon today. Bagel with lite cream cheese and smoked salmon, rocket salad, radishes, cherry tomatoes, banana and peach for lunch/snacks during the day.

Tonight I'll have macaroni cheese with tomatoes - a special low calorie version made with low fat milk, corn flower and extra strong cheese (from a book called "Fabulous in a Fortnight".

Having not been well last week, this week I'm going to get back to trunning, plus cycling in to work. Went swimming yesterday with ds, and did 10 length while dh looked after ds in his lesson.

Hopefully, I'll see some results this week!

lol " fabulous ina fortnight"!

JanZ · 10/07/2004 13:16

It's actually a good book - it was recommended by Amanda Ursell in the Sunday Times.

It's by Monica Grenfell and as well as providing a diet plan (with some nice recipes, some of which have become everyday favourites) it also has a programme of pampering and exercise, all aimed at getting you in the best possible shape for a "big event".

I used it for my wedding six years ago - but for more like 4 or 6 weeks than 2. Everything they say about weight loss getting more difficult once you're in your thirties is TRUE!!! And now I'm in my 40s, so it's even MORE true!!!!!

But I did get to my target weight for my wedding, and I DID look fabulous!

codswallop · 11/07/2004 14:17

well doine wk - i fele a change of name is in order

JanZ · 11/07/2004 14:50

Back to 10 st 7 But still UP one pound from my "low" of 10st 6

Hopefully by Friday I will have re-established the downward progress.

OP posts:
wobblyknicks · 11/07/2004 14:52

thanks coddy - should change my name but am too used to it.

janz, forget the 'low', just concentrate on the weight you're losing

wobblyknicks · 11/07/2004 14:59

Heathcliffscathy · 11/07/2004 17:02

i have started having piece of fruit for breakfast, ds's leftovers for lunch (if i do that and have nothing else i reckon that's pretty good) and sensible dinner. and trying to avoid cheese. but am on holiday as of tomorrow night...v dangerous.
