Here's anew thread for Coddy's recruits.

The old thread is here

For the record, I started out (May 19) at 11 stone 2 and am now 10 and a half stone A total loss of 9 pounds

Coddy's potential wrath has been inspirational! Plus of course the support of the rest of you (although the thread does go quiet at times).

coddy/sonnet - been a very bad girl the last few weeks - keep swearing that next Monday will be the Monday I give up junk food but never quite happens - doing lots of comfort eating atm as well. Please help this hopeless case!

wobblyknicks · 12/07/2004 12:21

mts - repeat after me - "I must not be a lardy arse" x 100

coddy - RESIGN - you? - well I never!!!

Heathcliffscathy · 12/07/2004 12:35

codswallop · 12/07/2004 15:13

I have realsised today how much I have been picking - it all creeps up on you
so today usula bfast and a nectarine nad a few raisins so far

mummytosteven · 12/07/2004 21:10

lol wobblyknicks. will do that whenever I walk past Thorntons to stave off the urge.... somehow has the je ne sais quoi that "nothing tastes as good as being slim feels" lacks - fraid that phrase does nothing for me as first time I came across it was on the food cupboard of my seriously skinny housemate at uni so I associate it with unhealthy attitudes towards food.

mummytosteven · 12/07/2004 21:12

Food for today
1)m & s apple and cinnamon cereal (no milk) but lemon onken yoghurt
2)4 slices of wholemeal bread and 1/2 packet of quorn fake chicken
3)1 medium cookie - blame DH for buying it for me, well Ok blame me for not leaving it for him

so not too bad. DH will be home late tonight - I will not pig out before he gets home - or rather I must not be a lardy arse X 100

codswallop · 12/07/2004 21:38

4 slices of bread? fgs!

mummytosteven · 12/07/2004 21:45

DH making me lunch. easier to say yes than argue (I know - I must not be a lardy arse X 100), (I must not blame my dh for my eating habits x 100). On the bright side, the lemon yoghurt I had for breakfast was low fat

codswallop · 12/07/2004 21:47

didnt need it though

codswallop · 12/07/2004 21:49

whats supper?

roisin · 12/07/2004 22:36

As an inexperienced beginner to all this diet mularkey, can I ask how do you choose a target weight? or an ideal weight?

mummytosteven · 12/07/2004 22:50

coddy - had yoghurt on cereal instead of milk. supper - will be pasta with garlic and probably some artichokes from a jar that have been marinated in olive oil. pud will be a ww yoghurt. Does that pass muster? Roisin - depends how perfectionist you are - I'ld go for BMI 25.

10 st 8 this morning Back up a pound.

Had a team meeting yesterday and went out for drinks afterwards with my colleagues. 3 pints of diet coke/lemonade later....

So I am working hard at the diet!

... but I did make brownies for yesterday's team meeting (I like baking!) and had one during the meeting and one when I got home in the evening. (But they're all finished now!)

Back to 10 st 7 this morning - so maybe "chilling out" is good for me! (I know I should also give up the daily weighing for a week but....)

Shared a big bucket of popcorn with dh at the cinema last night - but got the salted and not the sugar version. Then shared a fish supper = but only had a halg of a small piece of haddock and a few chips. Probably a lot fewer calories than a Macdonalds would have been, which had been the alternative!

fell of the wagon big time over the weekend - pre-menstrual cravings hit very hard - but have a big incentive now to shape up - went to the docs on Monday and my blood pressure is borderline for staying on the Pill - so now really want to get in shape!

JanZ · 14/07/2004 12:03

Still 10 stone 8 this morning

Had an attack of the munchies last night - first one sonce I started my weight loss prorgamme back in May, and brought on in part by a feeling of de-motivation.

Had 5 or 6 rich tea biscuits, some brazil nuts, some ham, a cheese triangle... all before supper!

Back on the wagon today.
