Age:45
Starting weight: 19st 10lbs on 01/01/17
Goal: 9st 10lbs
Plan: low carb, high fat

Well, it's the biggest I've ever been. Feel horrid, but determined to make this the last year of being a fat person. I''m going to diet the shit out of this mess I'm in! I've see threads to lose 100lbs, but not 140. If anyone else is in the same scary boat and fancies friendly, non-judgmental journey sharing, please say hello and share away.

Cheese, cheese, wine and cheese are my vices- must have been an alcoholic mouse in a former life! Grin

CrazyDuchess · 29/03/2017 20:17

Ooohhhhhh cheese mmmmmmm mmmmmmm

CrazyDuchess · 30/03/2017 07:10

Well it's only Thursday and I am down to 124.2 Grin clearly all the water weight from period is falling off by its one hell of a motivator!

Again posting for prosperity as I doubt it will be that low on Sunday Grin

FairfaxAikman · 30/03/2017 07:59

I do an interim weigh on my own scales and despite having a "blue dot" week (i.e. Bang on target) I haven't lost a thing! Angry

WorshipTheGourd · 30/03/2017 08:31

CAN JOIN PLS???
19st 12 last Oct.
17.12 today.
mainly low carb.
49, 5ft 7, and very depressed about it

WorshipTheGourd · 30/03/2017 10:11

I have had mobility probs for over a decade so running (even walking) is out.
I sleep badly due to pain.
I have a child with SEN.
I am broke (so no gym) and isolated.
I have a LOT of stress in my life
It's all Rock and Roll here... Grin Hmm Grin

But, next year I am 50. I don't want to be fat and 50.

And, I KNOW it is entirely the wrong reason but I made contact with an ex. It will go nowhere but I still have the hots for him. So, when I look at the cream cake, I think of him, and I put it back Grin
(he is much older and runs 10K each day and thin as a whippet).
When I knew him I was a size 8 I am now a 20/22. Humiliating.
But, he has been supernice and is encouraging me to lose for my health.

Of course, the risk is if he disappears again and I hit the biscuit tin.

Does anyone else find that your period REALLY stuffs up 7 / 10 days each month? I must put on 6lbs of fluid, crave choc, and then feel 'why bother' and fall off the wagon.

I struggle with portion size and chocolate.
I don't drink (single parent) or socialise much so that's (sadly!) not an issue for me.

I also namechange quite often so might need to keep you uptodate?

WorshipTheGourd · 30/03/2017 10:12

Ooof. Sorry for essay! Blush

OhHolyFuck · 30/03/2017 11:24

It's hard isn't it worship?

I'm a lone parent to 2 small boys and no money, or even time with work too, for gym etc
I have ME too so even if by some miracle I had some time they were both in school, and a spare tenner, I'm normally too fecked and want to go to bed!

Very interested in hearing about this guy though, distinct lack of men on my horizon so living vicariously wherever I can!

WildImaginings · 30/03/2017 22:09

Cheese is a huge vice for me!
Until I started SW I was never bothered about sweet things or chocolate. Now I seem to be craving them all the time.

Lost 1lb on Monday weigh in, which isn't fantastic as it's over the last two weeks, but I'm just glad it wasn't a gain. If I can lose 2.5lb this week then I'll get my 3 stone award. Really need to pull myself together for these last few days before Monday!

ShuttyTown · 31/03/2017 13:20

I've just eaten 4 shortbread fingers 😢😢😢

I'm so weak!!

Lotsawobblybits · 31/03/2017 13:28

Hope everyone has had a good week.

Picked up the walking this week and I have been super strict on the old calorie counting after over eating on Sunday. Secretly hoping for a good loss this week- but it never works like that! I have upped water intake and reduced coffee seeing if that helps any as well.

Welcome Worship to our lovely thread.

Well done Crazy 124.2 is a great acheivement!

2lb is fab Pinot hope your DD's are better- boredom is a diet killer.

User I have a similar amount left to lose and it is really daunting- the only way I can face it is with mini goals else I would have definitely given up.

Your 1st stone Harder whoop whoop - congrats!

Fairfax Maybe your next weight-in will reflect how well you have done & it won't be long before you can enjoy that chocolate. so annoying when you know you have been bang on it and the scales don't reflect it.

April tomorrow- feeling positive that I have stuck to this for the first year quarter, same again and then that is half the year done!
Currently at the lowest weight for 5 years, and had to have new bras which I could buy off the rack in M&S.

Sorry for sounding like a self help book today but I am celebrating the small achievements Grin

OhHolyFuck · 31/03/2017 14:56

Having a bit of a weird week - had cheesecake on that meal out on Monday and had a bit of a binge last night got stressed trying to finish the bloody bonnet and egg but had a good Tuesday and Wednesday, should have an ok weekend as I'm at work but worried about tonight, I'm tired and already can feel my resolve weakening...

10stonestolose · 31/03/2017 21:42

Waves furiously to all the lovely new people and my apologies for being a bit AWOL, had a stupidly busy week, so I've not been about since the weekend. Only have a few minutes, so have just skimmed through and will have to have a proper read and catch up with the thread tomorrow.

Well done to everyone who's still going, despite the ups and downs. It's 1st April tomorrow, so a brilliant day for a fresh start for those that have had a difficult month. Sending you all positive vibes for the new month. As long as we KOKO, we will do this.

Things have been going great guns for me on the exercise front this week: persuaded my friend to join my gym and both booked in for an induction tomorrow and lots of classes (yoga, spinning, body balance, weights) throughout the week, so I'm finally biting the gym bullet. A swimming costume is still a bridge too far though! Blush. Running is going really well and I can now run over 5k, although I'm still pretty slow. Managed it 3 times this week. Weigh-in on Sunday, so fingers crossed.

This April, we will not be April Fools, we will be April Fierce!Star

Checking in.
I'm doing good yesterday and today Smile still not dared to weigh myself.
Worship I could have written the list at the top of your post! I also want to look better for seeing a sort of ex who's on the scene again! I first met him at 17 then 23 I'm now nearly 40 and not feeling very attractive in any way both in where my life is and physically.

FairfaxAikman · 01/04/2017 08:47

Another 2lb off.

CrazyDuchess · 01/04/2017 08:55

Current weight: 124.9kg

Goal weight : 80kg

Keeping my eye firmly on my first mini goal - to get to sub 120kg - hopefully before the end of April!

10stonestolose · 02/04/2017 20:04

Great losses Fairfax, Shutty and Duchess!
*
Narcs,* well done for keeping going when it's so tough.

Holy I'm totally with you on the skinnies moaning about the 3 ounces they have to lose....I have friends who do it and they really seem not to realise how insensitive it is when I'm sitting next to them and have more than they weigh in total to lose.

Weigh-in this morning for me and lost 2lbs. Only one more pound to hit the 3 stones off and my next interim target. Gym this morning and tonight managed my 4th run plod of the week. Stats to follow...
