Hope you feel better soon, Wench

I did a Zumba class this morning, and MFP tells me that I have earned an extra 600-odd calories Shock

Today has been:
B : a piece of toast with butter and a cereal bar, half an apple
L : falafel and hummous, and half an orange
T : Nandos chicken with rice and salad, and half a bottle of Asti.

The half pieces of fruit are not a weight-loss measure, by the way. DS loves fruit, and I'm lucky to eat half before he pinches it Grin

I am going to have to sign off for a couple of weeks. I never realised how much I stress/comfort ate before I started logging!

It's nearly Sunday so I will weigh in now at 10st10lbs. I hope everyone continues making good progress and has a good week Smile

MillieMoodle · 14/01/2017 23:47

Firefly he coaches an under 6 football team but with his work as it is at the moment, he doesn't have time for much else.

Agree that I wouldn't have gone into law if I'd known then what I know now. I'm lucky to work for a firm that's pretty family friendly but I know they're few and far between so I do count my lucky stars every day.

Notso I don't blame him wanting to get out of it! Good luck to him with whatever he does next.

Wench hope you're feeling better soon.

Today has not been my best day.

B: tea and 3 pikelets
L: cheese and biscuits
D: doner kebab and chips
Snacks: Cadbury snow balls and 4 Jaffa cakes. Blush

Wenchelda · 15/01/2017 07:46

Morning all ... by some miracle I am down 2lbs this week, so weighing in at 10st 2.25lb Grin

Good luck everyone else!

Lapinlapin · 15/01/2017 08:39

Well done wench 10.2lb is below my target weight so I'd be delighted if I were you!
I've stayed the same this week, but that is a miracle in itself as I've eaten far too much Blush
The only thing I'm doing well with is my 10,000 steps. Need to up the exercise I think to balance out my rubbish diet - as well as actually eating better too.

Wenchelda · 15/01/2017 08:49

Getting my steps in is something I'm not that great at - I need to do more walking about, it seems. 10st was my target for a stone off but I think ultimately I want to aim for around 9 and a half stone as I'm only 5ft 2 and according to nhs website, my ideal weight would be somewhere between 7st 3 and 9st 11. At 7st 3 I'm sure I'd look ill but I think 9 and a half would be ok and hopefully achievable.

triangularchocolate · 15/01/2017 09:49

Can't quite believe it but I'm 13st 3.6 which is very nearly 5lb off this week. The boiler packed in yesterday so I comfort ate some chocolate last night but it hasn't appeared to do any damage yet! I've been trying on size 18 wedding dresses which I found a bit depressing so hopefully I will be able to go down a size if I can keep it up :)

Good luck everyone else and congratulations for the losses!

Bibs2014 · 15/01/2017 11:45

Well done on the losses! I darent weight after half a week of birthday celebrations!

Have had a slice of cheese and toast and chopped melon and a bag of mini cheddars so far.

SmellTheGlove · 15/01/2017 12:30

Its raining and cold and m home alone while DH is out with DS and I just want to read my book and EAT!!! I'm really not good when I'm just sitting around at home. I tried on some jeans in Gap yesterday which actually looked ok in a smaller size- but I'm holding off buying them as I'm never quite convinced by their mirrors - a little too flattering I suspect? People keep commenting that I've lost loads of weight which is odd because its only these last few pounds that they seem to have noticed! I mean I have lost a lot (a couple of stone) but that's been over about 2 years, and then i've just been plateauing for ages. weird, but quite nice.
firefly I like your meal plans. I try and meal plan for DS as otherwise as you said he would get the same thing every night (pesto pasta). I tend to eat the same meal every evening (salmon or chicken with salad) without much variation, because if I eat a bigger meal I inevitably go over my calories.
millie I'm a teacher - I can understand why your DH is interested in it, it can be a wonderful career, but I'll admit I'm struggling with it now after 14 years in the classroom as I feel strongly that the new curriculum is putting too much pressure on young children and squeezing out other important parts of education. I still love the relationship with the children though and the actual teaching aspect though, just not all the other crap!
I've been browsing clothes online hoping that they will inspire me not too eat loads! I would love to just be able to wear what I wanted..

Notsoskinnyminny · 15/01/2017 16:42

Well done on the losses everyone. I was down 2lb but fell off the wagon spectacularly yesterday - damn you thick tiger bread!! But I've just booked a session with a personal shopper for half term so determined to reach 9st now.

Wenchelda · 15/01/2017 17:14

Well to celebrate my unexpected 2lb loss, I have over indulged today with yummy crusty bread for lunch millionaires shortbread this afternoon. Way over my calories today Blush

Doing a spa day tomorrow so planning to do a bit in the gym to try and make up for it!

Bibs2014 · 15/01/2017 18:04

Class it as a weigh in day treat Wenchelda!

Having the period from hell and felt tired and irritable - kept arguing with DH Blush - so took myself off for a 2 hour nap. Could've slept longer though!

Had a skinny latte at lunchtime. Just had a slice of toast with a bit of leftover curry.

There's one slice of birthday cake left which I'm planning on sharing with DH with a cup of tea.

Wenchelda · 15/01/2017 18:33

Bibs a 2hr nap sounds like heaven! I could do with one of those daily Grin

FireflyGirl · 15/01/2017 21:57

Ice hope all is okay. We'll see you when you can join us again Flowers

Well done on the loss, Wench that's fantastic! Enjoy your spa tomorrow, you've earned it!

That's a good idea for a reward, Notso. Might add that for when I reach target...

Do you have a plan in place, lapin? Is it anything we can help with?

Well done on your dedication, triangular. That must be a great feeling!

Smell my friends are the same - love the actual teaching part of the job, hate the beaurocracy and teaching by rote rather than teaching the kids how to learn. I also can't wait until I can order clothes online and just go 'size 10, yep that'll fit'...

Bibs I am yet again jealous of your lovely afternoon nap Envy

I weighed in this morning, and have now dropped below 11 stone! Yey me! Whoop! I am 10 13.something. I weighed before swimming and was 13.8, then after swimming just out of curiosity, and was 13.4. So I'm recording it as 13.6, which means I've lost 3/4lb this week. Bit gutted as I would have liked more, but it's a loss so I won't complain too much Grin

Also pulled my old clothes out of the loft looking for my old bras as I currently only have one that fits. I have learned:
1 - my boobs are still mahoosive and have hardly gone down despite stopping breastfeeding 18 months ago and losing 3.5 stone
2 - I have a hell of a lot of clothes to slim back into Shock a hell of a lot!
3 - I am carrying more weight around my middle now
4 - Did I mention the boobs...

Bibs2014 · 15/01/2017 23:21

Firefly - yaaay for being 10st 13 something!

I am relishing the naps tbh. Sometimes I think I should be spending the time more productively then I think sod it! I will miss the naps when DS drops them so may as well take advantage of them while I can!

Had homemade chicken nuggets and salad for dinner.

Forgot to mention half a chocolate rice cake was consumed with my latte at lunch too- must stop eating DS's leftovers!

MillieMoodle · 16/01/2017 09:29

Am still dead on 11st 7lbs but have been a bit too relaxed since Christmas I think!

Yesterday I had:
B: porridge, tea
L: cheese & biscuits and some Cadbury snow bites
D: 2 Cumberland sausages, mash, baked beans.

Today I've had tea, actimel and cornflakes. Just about to take DS2 to his swimming class so will hopefully lose a few calories holding him in the water!

Lunch will be cheese and crackers again, then hopefully the crackers will be finished.

Dinner will be chicken stir fry I think.

DH is desperate to lose some weight too so hopefully it'll be a bit easier if we are both doing it!

SmellTheGlove · 16/01/2017 11:45

pre official weigh and I'm a pound and a half up since Friday! WTAF?? I've been really good too and only gone over my calories by about 30 each day of the weekend. I am VERY pissed off. Its hard enough sticking to this bloody diet without random weight gain. GRRR.

Bibs2014 · 16/01/2017 11:47

Had cereal for breakfast. Two small biscuits at work. Fruit.

FireflyGirl · 16/01/2017 14:01

I'm starving today! I'd usually just be thinking about lunch, but so far today I've had:
B : shreddies with almond milk and half an apple
L : at 11.30!!Subway chicken salad (with the dressing on the side so I could control it myself).
S : a bag of crisps and half a bag of a tesco chocolate coins.

I'm out at the moment, walking my sister's dog, so can't make anything healthy. Hoping to hold out until tea time...

Had a gorgeous lunch of Mediterranean quinoa, Jamie Oliver's black dahl and salad - I want to eat it again!

Wenchelda · 16/01/2017 17:14

Well I've had a lovely relaxing spa day but will be about 200 cals over my limit, thanks to the complimentary Danish pastry they gave us on arrival Blush

Went in the gym to do my 5k on exercise bike. Interestingly on the bike there, I had it on level 4 and was able to complete the 5k in 11 minutes, burning 74 cals. On my exercise bike at home, I can only manage level one and 5k takes me a good 20 minutes and burns over 100 cals. So clearly level one on my bike is nowhere near as easy as level one on other bikes. Level one on the gym bike had the pedals spinning round like mad with no resistance at all, whereas on my bike level one feels equivalent to about level 6 on the gym bike. This may explain why I couldn't get anywhere near Millie's time of 5k in 11 minutes! and makes me feel better about being so slow by comparison on my bike. I also managed 10 slow lengths of the pool but the rest of the day was spent relaxing!

Food today has been:
B- porridge with banana
S- coffee & Danish pastry
L- ham & salad sandwich
S - Christmas panettone Blush
D- pasta with homemade sauce

MillieMoodle · 17/01/2017 07:50

Wench am glad you had a lovely spa day! And so pleased you have an explanation for the 5k taking 20 mins. I promise you I am not any kind of athlete! I really need to get back on the bike.

Managed just over 10k steps yesterday. Lunch was 2 x pikelets and 2 x potato cakes. Dinner was pizza, paprika wedges and salad. Snacks were 6 x Jaffa cakes and 3 x crunch creams Blush but because I managed way more steps than usual I was only a few calories over my allowance.

This morning I am still 11st 7lbs but the scales a looking more like they are on the lower side of 11st 7 iyswim!

Today will be:

B: actimel, tea, cornflakes
L: crackers and cottage cheese with cherry tomatoes
D: pork chops, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots, chips.

Going to try no snacks again or at least limit to one biscuit. It was much better when I allowed myself one treat a day, so I'm going to go back to that!

triangularchocolate · 17/01/2017 08:59

The Spa day sounds amazing Wench - must get my Christmas massage voucher booked soon - maybe a reward for when I get under 13st and will officially be overweight rather than obese! I didn't eat a lot yesterday (cereal, soup and a bit of fruit) but today I feel hungry and have got biscuits in for a visitor so will have to be careful...

Wenchelda · 17/01/2017 09:17

I'm feeling lazy today. I think the spa day yesterday relaxed me too much and now I'm not motivated to do anything (including exercise bike) Which is unfortunate as I have a list of housework / chores as long as my arm Confused

Breakfast today was 2 hard boiled eggs and cherry tomatoes. Lunch I think will be a (naughty) sausage sandwich as there's a couple of sausages in the fridge that need to be eaten. Dinner is going to be homemade pizza.

DCs are both on a school trip today and for no particular reason I'm feeling very anxious about it (dd is in reception so it's her first ever school trip) I'm going to try to keep myself as busy as possible so I'm not sat here worrying. They're not due back until 5:30pm ... so really I should be relishing the extra free time but in reality I know it's just an extra 2 hrs to worry. Anxiety is a horrible thing Sad I many need to lock away the chocolate to stop me comfort eating Hmm

Lapinlapin · 17/01/2017 10:44

Aw try not to worry Wench, am sure they'll have a great time. I totally understand though. My DS was in reception last year, and I remember worrying about him when they had their first trip. It was in November, and they all seemed so young and little to be going off for a whole day when they'd only just started school.

Try to keep busy to distract yourself.

I've just calculated my TDEE which is apparently just under 2000 a day. I think I'm going to adjust my target calories on mfp. At the moment it's only 1200 and I just find it so hard to keep it that low, that I go over and then give up.
So I think it's better to aim for 1500 which is more achievable. Even if it means I lose weight slower, at least I should still lose something.
