Sol Sorry to hear things have been difficult. You sound so positive, as always full of admiration for your parenting. So pleased DS2 is getting the help he needs and hopefully you and DH too.
Super well done on your weight loss, and don't worry about the garlic bread, I am absolutely sure the apple will have cancelled it out (especially if you ate it standing up?).
Green have a fabulous holiday, eat, drink and be merry and we'll have a very frugal June.
How are you rachey ? Are you feeling any better. Maybe put dieting to one side until you get yourself sorted?

I've not lost any weight but as a plus not gained any. It's been a sad and strange week hasn't it?
I've got a few social things dotted few June and so I really need to get my head round fasting for 3 days.
Have a lovely sunny Friday.

Pomegranatepompom · 26/05/2017 14:08

Yes still doing my bloody runs. Stuck at 2 sets of 10 mins with a 3 min walk in the middle. Which burns a pitiful 350 Grin

Pomegranatepompom · 26/05/2017 14:09

I actually didn't mean to say bloody! Not sure where that came from - my subconscious?!

Pomegranatepompom · 30/05/2017 10:00

Morning.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend?
Hope you are having a great holiday Green
I haven't stopped eating. Reigned myself in yesterday and now going to try and low carb with a couple of fast days. Although going out Thurs and out both weekend days but going to try and take my food with me (although staying overnight - I must not eat calorific hotel food!).
I want to lost a stone by September and another half before Christmas (But I've said this for the past infinite number of years...)
Plan for today:
Greek yogurt & berries 250 cals
Tuna salad 250 cals
Chicken and Veg 250 cals
Snack: nuts 150 cals

Have a great day everyone.

Greenrabbit · 04/06/2017 20:22

Hi everyone. I hope you are all okay?

Just marking my place back on the thread. Fresh start from tomorrow.
I will post more then.

Evening all,
Been a busy week, sorry haven't posted.

pom how was your week low carbing? Sounds like you have a busy June, are all the plans involving food and booze? I always struggle dieting in the summer.

How are the runs going?

green how was your holiday? Hope you and your family had s great time

sol how are you getting on?

Hope you all had a great half term?

As before I haven't been dieting but I'm still gyming it. I had a trial session with a pt yesterday morning. I'm in agony today I haven't ached like this for years. He says I'm doing it all wrong, and nirvfuelibg my body correctly hence the binge eating cause I'm so hungry ect. He is a nutritionist so will do a meal plan ect for me. Only problem is it's expensive unless I book a block session (the cheapest is £600) I feel bad as oh is so cheap compared to me with my hair and nails ect.

Greenrabbit · 04/06/2017 21:35

The holiday was great Rachey. Menorca is beautiful. Not looking forward to reality tomorrow.

That's interesting about the personal trainer. How long does a block booking last?

OP posts:
Racheyg · 05/06/2017 06:24

was meant to say not fuelling my body hence the binge eating.

green a block session is 20 sessions over 10 weeks. It works out at £30.00 which is reasonable but you have to pay all up front. If you pay per session it's 45.00 in advance or £60.00 if you pay on the day.

I do feel that I need to do something like this, as I just lack serious will power with diets like weight watchers and 5:2 ect. I snack and think it's ok, but when looking back I must consume an extra 1000 cals just by picking and snacking.

Racheyg · 05/06/2017 06:25

green I hope getting back to reality isn't so bad today.

Greenrabbit · 08/06/2017 21:47

The routine has been easy to get back into Rachey. Struggling again with food, although I know that I just need to stop buying tempting things.

Have you had any or ethoughts about the PT?

How are you doing Pom and Sol?

OP posts:
Racheyg · 10/06/2017 20:24

Evening all,

I hope your having a good weekend.

green how has your week been? Did you do exante in the end?

sol how are you? Has ds2 had any more assessments?

pom how is everything ?

I drove into the back a car. I'm so angry with myself. And to top it off before this happened our car insurance has doubled Sad

I have signed up to this personal trainer. It was my first session today. I'm in agony. And I'm so food deprived.

He has me on this low carb, protein, and good fat diet. It's going to be so hard. But I am ready, I need this to kick my arse into shape.

Greenrabbit · 11/06/2017 11:52

Sorry about your accident Rachey. Are you okay? Was there much damage?
Cars are so expensive aren't they? I've just got a bigger one and I'm shocked at how much more it's costing. Hopefully if you shop around you'll get a better price when you renew.

Do you see the trainer at your gym? I think you're very brave.
How much food are you actually allowed? Is it calorie contolled too?
(That's a lot of questions, sorry)

This week has been okay. I'm trying to make more of an effort with cooking. I'm going to prepare some meals today.
We are away for the weekend, I'm going to try to just be sensible during the week.
I'm tempted to try Exante for a week or so when I get back. But any type of fasting seems to set me off on a massive binge. I'll see how I feel next week.

I did lots of walking on holiday, there were lots of hills and stairs involved too. I've noticed that my shape has changed slightly. It's pretty encouraging so I'm going to make more of an effort to do some real exercise.

How are you both Pom and Sol?

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 11/06/2017 21:30

Oh Rachey I hope you're ok after your accident. Were you hurt? Insurance is a pain, I'm on DH's and it went up by loads when he got 4 penalty points. Your trainer sounds amazing, would you be tempted to cut back on other things to try and afford it? I spend a few hours a week doing personal grooming, I earmark it for me and I find it so peaceful.

Green I am so tempted to go back on Exante. I went and did James Duncan for 5 days and lost 8lbs in the end. I kind of cheated on the last day. I'm going to do it again as it doesn't require any special food and I don't feel as bad if I go off plan.

How did you get on in the hotel Pom? I hope you enjoyed your time away. Are you still running? You sound so busy at the moment.

We went away for a few days on a last minute holiday, so I was pretty off plan but super active, so I didn't put on any weight. Term time holidays aren't frowned upon here, so we were able to take DS1 out of school and it was no big deal. It was a total family friendly break, with lots of activities and hardly any booze, but we had a great time. So hard to get my head back in the game now though.

Racheyg · 12/06/2017 09:35

Thanks sol and green yes we're fine, there was bad traffic and the car pulled out and stop all of a sudden. Resulting in me going into the back of him.

It's not come at a great time as me and oh aren't getting on at the moment so this was just the icing on the cake.

sol glad you had a great few days away, did you go anywhere nice?

green wow thats great your starting to see changes physically, it's very motivating. Sounds like you guys had a great time

I see the pt at a gym (not my usual one) I'm only allowed carbs on exercise days and the first meal after exercise. Carbs like brown rice, sweet potato ect I'm eating a lot of mackerel. I'm feeling very positive about this although when he weighed me it was a huge difference to my usual scales. It was very daunting having pictures taken of me as well Sad

Here is my basic meal plan on a non exercise day
Breakfast - rolled oats with almond milk and whey protein
Mid morning snack - 90g salmon and kale and 18g cashew nuts
Lunch - 80g chicken breast and salad with Italian dressing

Dinner - 5%fat beef mince chilli con carne with broccoli and kale

Lots and lots of water Grin

Pomegranatepompom · 12/06/2017 20:10

Sorry for not posting, life hectic. Not lost a lb... Need to find motivation from somewhere...

Sorry to hear re the car rachey You sound extra motivated diet and exercise wise !
Good to hear re shape change green I need to do something too, but can't bare thought of exante.
Well done on your loss Sol Nice to hear you went away and great you didn't put on weight.

Pomegranatepompom · 12/06/2017 20:10

Ps still doing my runs but they are not enough to fight the chub !

Pomegranatepompom · 13/06/2017 12:18

Mulberry sale has started in case you need a treat/spur on/ need to indulge....

Racheyg · 13/06/2017 17:42

Thanks pom for letting us know about mulberry. I think it's still a pipe dream for me thou Sad

Racheyg · 13/06/2017 17:43

Let me drool over your purchases thou Grin

Greenrabbit · 13/06/2017 21:38

Have you bought anything Pom? I've enjoyed browsing.

I bought a Vivienne Westwood bag last week. It's for my brother's wedding. I figure that I'm too fat for an expensive dress, so I may as well have a nice bag!

Greenrabbit · 13/06/2017 22:00

I think I'm going to try Exante for a few weeks. Hopefully I can lose a stone doing that. Then I'm thinking of trying a plan like The Blood Sugar diet.
Obviously I need to channel some real determination for that. We need to find motivation from somewhere Pom!

How has today gone Rachey? I'd hate someone taking pictures of me. Is it just for your own comparison? The Body Coach on Facebook scares me! The diet plan sounds nice, how do you manage the prep? That's what I find the most difficult.

I'm going to have a look at the James Duncan too Sol. I'm glad you had a nice holiday. It's so nice having time away with the family.
We are trying to fit more in, the children are really enjoying it.

Pomegranatepompom · 13/06/2017 22:08

Hello Frogs do stay :)

Lovely bag Green I'm thinking of the blood sugar diet as well. Shall we go for it?!

How was your day rachey ?
How's thing Sol

I may have made a purchase, feel really guilty though as got a Coach bag last month. Wish I could take the coach one back now but had too long.

Greenrabbit · 13/06/2017 22:18

Hi Frogs, welcome.

Yes Pom, I was thinking of starting it on the 10th July?

I love Coach bags, but I was also eyeing up that Mulberry in Oxblood. Don't feel guilty!
