Hello. I am a personal trainer, I work in a private gym. You can bring your babies, so no stressing about childcare. I have posted an advert on small biz. Please take a look x

Racheyg · 18/01/2017 09:19

Morning all,
Feeling very rough today, this cold is really taking it out of me.

I did manage spinning yesterday but it almost killed me. Grin

Today's plan:
Breakfast
Eggs and spinach
Snack
Pink lady
Lunch
Italian sausage stew with kale
Snack
Veg muffins
Dinner
Chicken stir fry

I have noticed all my meals are very samey but tbh I really could care at the minute

Will post more later

Hope you all have a good day

SolitudeSometimesIs · 18/01/2017 20:30

Your menu sounds delicious Rachey. I hope you're feeling better soon, I've heard the cold that is going around is dreadful.

Pom congratulations on the the 1lb. Have you lost 6lbs in total? I think you need to keep chugging away at it. I didn't lose much this week either.

I have been sticking to 32 points per day this week (although I'm having a glass of wine tonight). I haven't started The Shred yet, I am working an extra 10 hours this week and I am wrecked.

I've started doing some grooming in the evening, so my nails and eyebrows, dying my hair, sorting out my hoof like feet - all in the name of self improvement and occupying myself.

I'm also trying to eat as late as possible in the day before having my mid-morning food (it's too late to be called breakfast). I always think maybe I am burning fat by doing loads on an empty stomach, I don't really have any evidence that this is true, but I like to tell myself it is.

I better go and do some housework, I can't bear getting up to a messy house in the morning.

4fitpersonaltraining · 18/01/2017 20:51

To all you yummy mummies out there. I am a qualified personal trainer. I work in a private gym where if you have babies, you can bring them. Train for 30 mins or the full hour. Train with a friend or attend one of my classes. Come on a give it a go. I am based in Sutton. Look at my ad on small biz xx

Racheyg · 19/01/2017 10:39

A quick moan up.

I hate work. If I didn't need the money I would quit in a heart beat.

Greenrabbit · 20/01/2017 12:40

Moan all you want Rachey. I don't have any wise advice to offer but I do know how you feel. I really hope it improves in some way for you.
Is your cold any better? Probably best not to exercise as much if you are run down. The meal plan sounds good though.

Sounds like WW is going well Sol. I usually do the same with breakfast, I think it helps too. Once I start eating I think about food constantly.
I'm impressed with your grooming. I've been meaning to do my nails since New Year. I dyed my hair at the weekend and I'm getting it cut next week. I also made an effort to put makeup on today (I've been very lax lately and look shattered without it).
My copy of the Shred is still in the wrapper (I have probably mentioned this before) I bought it in 2012.

Well done on the loss Pom. It's really difficult to cut out sugar, I'm very impressed that you've done 2 weeks.
Thanks for the kind words, (not patronising at all). No one in real life is that supportive really.

I haven't been very well since Tuesday.
On Wednesday night I thought I'd caused major damage by doing a core workout! But I actually have a UTI and bad cough. So that was very painful. I have antibiotics now so feeling slightly better.
Anyway as a side effect I haven't ate much. Today my jeggings are far more comfortable and my coat is easier to zip up. Plus my face is less bloated. I'm hoping to lack of appetite is permanent.

Racheyg · 21/01/2017 20:56

green I hope your feeling better. But what a result with your clothes Grin are you tempted to weigh in?

pom well done on your 1lb loss, I know it's heartbreaking when you work so hard and it's only a lb have you measured yourself? You may have lost inches? How are you managing no sugar?

sol ha ha that's the way I feel about exercising on a empty stomach, I like to think it's true to Grin well done on all that grooming, I really need to sort myself out.

I'm feeling very down at the mo, work getting to me and the fact I can't stick to a bloody diet. I keep picking and snacking.
I have done lots of exercise this week so I hope the scales aren't to mean to me. I'm not sure I'm focused enough for the body coach, maybe I should just go back to the blood sugar diet?

Racheyg · 21/01/2017 22:14

Another ramble post.
Where the boys get their hair cuts they get given a bag of sweets. I refuse to let my boys eat the drumsticks. I say it's for their health and teeth but I have just eaten them Grin

God I have no self control

Greenrabbit · 22/01/2017 15:45

I do the same with party bags. I have to remind myself that they can just go in the bin!

I'm feeling slightly better thanks. We went out for a walk this morning but it was so cold. DD1 and I couldn't stop coughing and DD2 was hysterical because she was freezing.

I haven't weighed myself. I'll wait till next week.

I'm hoping to start exercise again tomorrow. I need to get organised and do some cooking.

Dieting is so difficult. Do you want to do the Blood sugar diet again?
Maybe just stick to the low carb part and don't go so low with the calories? If you're exercising surely it will be better to eat more?
Sorry that you're still feeling rubbish though.

I've been picking at stuff this weekend. Healthy food isn't quite as appealing when you're not feeling great.

OP posts:
Pomegranatepompom · 22/01/2017 20:00

Evening all,

Hope you feel slightly better green I can't stop picking either rachey You do so much exercise, I am sure you'll get a good result.
How is ww sol ? Good plan with the grooming. I'm trying to be better. Had my hair cut yesterday but it's a bit short, thankfully it grows quick.

No sugar has actually been a lot easier than I thought it would be. Although i have still had fruit (mainly blueberries/strawberries and apple) and a few raisins, also been picking on mixed nuts but think I need to cut this out, they are so calorific. I'm going to try and have a really strict week. We are away for half term and I know I'll go totally off the rails, but my plan is to start again straight away once back.

I must admit I do feel better, less sluggish and I think my running is better. Although still a very slow runner..

Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Racheyg · 23/01/2017 09:20

pom where are you going? anywhere nice? Are you still eating natural sugar? And what about sweetener?

That's great news about the running, it doesn't matter how fast, it's the fact your doing it. Running is not my thing.

green that's a good idea not to weigh to often, that's my downfall. What kind of exercise are you going to do? The shread?

sol how's we going?

Hope you all had a good weekend?

Ds2 is constipated and tantruming every 10 mins. He has certainly hit the terrible twos. Ds1 has been very challenging also, keeps pushing.

I have decided to not diet. Well do a "diet" I'm going to eat healthy, no processed food and only eat good carbs on exercise days. Will try and stick to 800 on non exercise days and 1000-1200 on exercise days.

Today is a non exercise day so eating
Breakfast
0% Greek yogurt
Frozen mixed berries
Flaxseed with chia seeds and goji berries

Snack
Pink lady

Lunch
Chicken with soy sauce peppers and broccoli

Dinner
Chicken fajitas without the tortilla but with added greens

Est 800 cals

Racheyg · 24/01/2017 08:33

Morning all,
I hope everyone had a good day yesterday. My meal plan changed and I had a Greek salad instead. It was delish. I realised the diet was making me miserable eating the same foods and it being so restrictive.

I stuck to 800 cal yesterday. Today's plan:

Breakfast
Turkey muffins - I estimate these are 150cals for 2

Snack
Carrot and hummus- 70 cal

Lunch
M&s soup - deciding on flavour but I won't go over 250 cal

Snack
Pink lady - about 50cal

Dinner
Chicken fajitas - approx 250 - 300 cal

I'm spinning tonight which is a 45 min class. The guy is a demon, and make you give 100% my myzone heart rate monitor tells me I burn about 600cals

Pomegranatepompom · 24/01/2017 09:01

Morning,

Well done on sticking to your 800 cals rachey and you diet plan today looks fab.
Sorry work so bad, is there anything you or anyone at work can do to make things better?

I am having 1-2 sweeteners a day in coffee, do you think I should cut this out? Also still eating fruit. I might try and be stricter when back from holiday. We are have got a cottage for a week and also a weekend away pre half term and so I know there's going to be a lot of drinking and eating involved. I will just get back to being strict when we get back.

I lost 2 lbs this week.

Plan for today:
Greek yogurt and berries 300 cals
Coconut chicken fillets with salad 300 cals
Veg soup if hungry in afternoon 120 cals
Chicken and veg 300 cals
=1020
maybe a handful of nuts if desperate - taking me to 1200.

Yesterday had same bfast, soup, nuts and chicken stir fry. approx 800cals

Pomegranatepompom · 24/01/2017 09:02

I wouldn't cope with the spinning, admiration for you rachey !

Racheyg · 25/01/2017 09:07

pom 2lb is amazing. Well done. I'm not sure about sweetener, I know when cutting out sugar most fruit especially tropical is bad.

Your meals plans sound great and it's obviously working, is it 8lbs since beginning of Jan?

Sounds like a great half term is planned, is it just the four of you?

I stupidly weighed myself and I've put 2lbs on Blush I feel lighter and not as stodgy but hey the scales never lie.

I did my spin class, but only burnt 479 cals in 45 mins. - I'm shocked as I really put blood, sweat and tears in that class.

I ate about 1000cals yesterday. I'm a little disappointed but all food was good fats, no complex carbs ect. With all this knowledge maybe I should go back to school and study nutrition? Grin

Racheyg · 25/01/2017 09:14

Meal plan for today
Breakfast
Greek yogurt, berries and flaxseed

Snack
Carrot

Lunch
M&s chicken and veg soup

Snack
Pink lady

Dinner
Salmon fillet stir fry

This takes me to 800cal dead on Grin

SolitudeSometimesIs · 25/01/2017 20:58

Rachey if you suddenly out on 2lbs I assume it's fluid or something else. I doubt it's much to do with what you have eaten, you're so healthy. And fair play to you for doing the spin class, the thoughts of working out leaves me in a cold sweat.

Pom you are doing so brilliantly. I imagine it is really hard to cut out sugar. I suppose it depends what type of fruit you're eating as to whether you should cut it out, or maybe change it to one with higher water content.

I have moved my weigh in day to Friday, purely because I am sick of weighing in on Monday and finding I've put on 1 lb, but by Friday I am lighter. Still sticking to ww, it's fairly dull and boring but it's working. I made a cauliflower curry last night (it was 2pps) and it tasted nice, but I died a slow death last night with cramps and bloating. I think cauliflower is off my list of foods.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 25/01/2017 21:01

Ahhh I pressed post instead of return - I think I'm over tired.

How are you getting on Green? Your new diet plan looked great, but it's so hard when the kids are sick. I pick at the kids food all the time, it's my greatest downfall.

Racheyg · 30/01/2017 09:06

Morning all.

I feel I start every Monday with a shame post. Having done well and weighed myself on Thursday I was 10st 6lb I know it's only a 1lb but I'm guessing it's going to be a slow process.

I then ate carbs all weekend and picked rather than had proper meals. I think my cals must have reached 1500 each day. I know I'm exercising but it's no excuse.

So today I'm back on the wagon. I think I should change my Mumsnet name to yoyo

Racheyg · 30/01/2017 09:11

Sorry all that post was very self indulgent.

Hope you all had a better weekend.

sol I think change big the date is a good idea, mondays is never a good weigh day in my eyes. It's crazy how much our weight fluctuates.

beyond how is everything going with your plan? Your food plans look great, are you still managing running in the week?

green how are you? Are your dcs better now?

Pomegranatepompom · 30/01/2017 20:37

No need to apologise rachey it's frustrating. But also with my rational head on, 1500 cals is still low. Maybe you are not eating enough. You could try a cheat day and seeing if that fools your body? especially as you are doing so much exercise. You have stlll lost a lot.

I think changing your weigh in day sounds really wise Sol Hows everything else? You were/are so busy. Any social things planned?
If I ever get to goal, I am planning to have Fridays and Saturdays off.

How are you Green ? Hope all illness has gone.

I as trying to think about how we should all aim for a treat with losses. Maybe every stone? Could spur us on?
I lost 2lbs this week. Will weigh in on Friday before weekend away. Then having 2 weeks off due to birthdays etc and half term. Hope I don't gain everything back, however, I'm not dieting, so my plan is to do a sugar free week as soon as social things are over.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Racheyg · 30/01/2017 22:57

pom I love the treat idea, what shall we do? And how much weight lost?

2lbs is an amazing loss, I'm guessing that's about 10lbs now since beginning of Jan.

Have a great time celebrating are you still going to be exercising?

Oh going to see black sabbath tomorrow night so no spin for me, I'm a little gutted but I will just have to make it up another time.

Food wise today, I stupidly left my lunch bag at home, so I tried to remain healthy

Breakfast
Greek yogurt with berries

Snack
Almonds

Lunch
Chicken soup

Snack
2 rich tea
2 slices of ham

Dinner
Chicken stir fry (no noodles)

Greenrabbit · 01/02/2017 17:13

I know how you feel Rachey. It would be great if it was as easy to lose as put on.
I do agree with Pom though, you are being very hard on yourself.

Well done on your 2lb Pom. What sort of treat are you thinking of.

The children are almost well again. DD2 isn't sleeping well so is a grump most of the day. I have a chest infection (still) so feel generally rubbish.
I've been to tired to exercise and it just sets off a massive coughing fit. I managed to cut back on food and lost 6lb last month.
I was feeling more positive yesterday until someone patted my stomach and asked if I was pregnant. So I've been picking at carbs all day and just want to cry.
I'm aiming for 5lb this month. We are going away for half term too. I might try to do something more extreme in March. Hopefully I'll be better by then and in a more positive mood.

OP posts:
SolitudeSometimesIs · 02/02/2017 06:18

Oh Green I hope you punched that horrible person right in the face. What an awful thing to say to someone. Angry Bloody well done on your 6lbs, that's fantastic. Don't be derailed, you are doing so well. Go out to your kitchen and find 6 bags of sugar or butter and carry them around, feel how much weight you have lost. Let's keep going with losing weight, let's keep focused.

Rachey don't be so hard on yourself. How was Black Sabbath? Is that Ozzy Osbourne? Spin class will be waiting for you next week, don't worry. Your diet sounds super healthy, I'm very envious, it all looks delicious.

Pom you are doing brilliantly. How much have you lost in total? Who knew sugar could lead to such weight gain? I mean, I know it's bad but it's crazy what an impact it has.

I lost 6 lbs in January and was happy enough with that. However this week has been a disaster. DS2 has been waking at 1.30 am or 3.30 am and staying up for the day and I am absolutely knackered. I'm still working 5 days a week and come dinner time I am delirious with tiredness and have had two takeaways (well one was a pad thai that was only 550 cals so not so bad). I can't exercise, I just don't have the energy. I've been having zero points soup throughout the day, but I end up eating a sodding takeaway and ballsing it all up.

I haven't gone near the scales, I daren't. But I think I will do James Duncan diet next week (I need to go tofu shopping) and maybe seeing a big loss will spur me on. I think a week off wine will do me good too, I don't drink enough to feel bad the next day, but with my day starting in the middle of the night, it can't be good. We're not away for midterm break so I'm hoping I can get myself organised.

Greenrabbit · 02/02/2017 10:57

I felt like it Sol but I can't afford to be banned from the school premises! Plus I'm more of a crier than a fighter. Grin I suppose it should be my lightbulb moment which spurs me on to lose 5stone.

Well done on your 6lb too. We can do this.

I feel your pain with the waking children, lack of energy etc.

A couple of takeaways won't do any harm, I'm the same with wine. I think I'm going to stop until the school holidays.
I need to do something involving a big loss too. It will have to be during March for me. I think I need to dedicate a full month to get me going.

I want to make a dent in my weight during February, so I'm really going to focus for the next few weeks.
I'm aiming to not eat anything before 12pm and after 8pm. I've found that I can have 2 decent meals and a snack. It seems to stop me picking. (Not that I've done it every day)

Hope you all have a great day.
