I'm looking for a buddy to join me and help motivate to lose some of this flab! I'm 5'7" and about 12st but will weigh in tomorrow morning.

Well done thistoo!

Have a great hols Claire!

I'm ticking along. I've enjoyed not logging anything, although I think it syncs my steps still. Looking back I think I've felt I needed to eat all the calories I have left, and more. I've also not weighed myself. But oddly people have said I look great so hoping something is working!

ThisToo · 24/05/2016 19:28

Hi Stellar sounds like taking a break is working for you Smile It's great when people notice.
I seem to be back in self-sabotage mode and have eaten all sorts of junk the last couple of days even though it's made me feel rubbish. I'm not stressing about it though because this time I know the damage will be limited as I will be back on track soon enough. I definitely don't have that game over feeling like I would have done previously, iykwim?
I hope you are having a fab holiday claire After a 2 stone plus weight loss you deserve it Star

Stellar67 · 30/05/2016 12:46

Right I'm back. The summers on its way and my winter body is afraid.

Hope everyone is good.

Claire28will · 31/05/2016 09:10

I'm back too! Arrived home late on Saturday night and have been a washing queen ever since!! Grin finally weighed myself this morning and only put 2 pound on which is a total record for me I normally Come back from holiday at least half a stone heavier so I'm pleased!

Hulababy · 31/05/2016 09:36

Started yesterday too. Signed up to SW online.
I have a couple of stone to lose. First target is holiday in 6 weeks - I'd like to have lost a stone by then but we shall see. Dh is supposed to be doing it too - he says he has 3 stone to lose to be within BMI.

First day was good though felt like I'd eaten more than normal! Guess it is just a change of WHAT you eat more than how much perhaps.

Stellar67 · 31/05/2016 11:44

Well done Claire! That's good going!

Welcome Hula. I use MFP. I took a little hiatus because I was getting a bit fed up but I'm back to tackle the muffin top!

Stellar67 · 01/06/2016 06:10

Morning, I've also put in 2lbs. And I didn't go on holidays Blush

I've joined Juneathon. 30 mins exercise a day.
I'm also going to not touch any crisps for the entire of June. There it's out now.

Hope everyone is well.

Kreeshsheesh · 01/06/2016 12:17

When I was in SW I was told 10lbs on was normal for a two week holiday! It sounds like you've all done very well. I've stalled a bit at the moment, but I'm trying not to go overboard. It's a struggle at times!

Stellar67 · 01/06/2016 12:31

I have done slimming world but it didn't work for me as the all you can eat included pasta, and I can eat all the pasta. Then if I went off plan I still ate all the pasta. And everything else. So I can see how gaining 10lbs might happen.

MFP seems to work as even if I eat all the pasta I have to log all the pasta and then I can't eat everything else.

If that makes sense Grin
But it works for people. I'm obviously too greedy!

It is a struggle. I am happy to be back though. I've got myself some Capri running leggings to look a bit more summery.

Claire28will · 01/06/2016 20:09

Well done stellar on getting back on track I know how easy it is to give up with even a small gain have been there sooooo many times!

Totally agree with you about slimming world I lost 4 stone on it in 2012 for my wedding but I was literally at the gym every day and walking to and from it as well, I found when I tried it in January after having my DD I only had small loses and ended up totally unfocused and would eat all the syns I had a bought for an entire week in one go! I know I'm totally greedy, when I go off plan I think I can still eat massive portions because slimming world ingrains that in you! I am Now a total convert to MFP and calorie counting I have learned so much in the last 2 months about portion control and calories I really think it's working because I'm not restricting any foods at all and thinking oh no I can't have that because there are too many syns in it, I still have chocolate and have had a few drinks too in the last 2 months and my small gain on holiday was because I knew what not to eat and how to stay in control!
Just wanted to share because slimming world is all I knew for 4 years and now I really feel
That I have had a lifestyle change, just in case anyone else is needing a change from it!
Good luck stellar I'm sure you look fab in your Capri pants! Wink

Kreeshsheesh · 01/06/2016 22:46

I've gone over my MFP cals by 558! Blush It's been a bad day and I've fallen off the wagon as a result. I was rooting around for food this evening then suddenly realised that I'm not even hungry. I stopped myself from eating for no reason whatsoever. I've been in such a low, mopey mood today. I need to snap out of it!!

Claire28will · 01/06/2016 22:56

Never worry! Just have a really good day tomorrow and try to burn a few hundred more exercising than you normally would and it will balance out Wink

ThisToo · 02/06/2016 09:21

Hi everyone.
Welcome hula
Sounds like you had a fab holiday claire and only a 2lb gain is brilliant Star
Like stellar I've managed to gain without going away. It's only 1lb but it's still demoralising. I have fallen into bad habits and been giving into my sugar cravings, eating late in the evening when I'm not even hungry and not logging anything in mfp so I can pretend I haven't eaten as much as I really have. Not hard to see where that 1lb has come from when I write it down in black and white!
Anyway, I'm aiming to get back on track from today and hopefully shift that 1lb again by Monday's weigh in. I have a kettlebell class tonight and HiiT on Saturday morning so that should help. It is so hard though.
I hope you are feeling more positive today kreesh. If I could break the link between my state of mind and my food choices for sure I'd never have a weight problem!
Good luck everyone and thanks for the motivation to get back on the wagon again

Kreeshsheesh · 02/06/2016 12:42

Hi Thistoo. I know where you're coming from! Claire's words of wisdom also helped. I felt better after going out for a run today. Only two weeks left until the race for life! Shock Although the scales don't always show it, my clothes are getting a wee bit looser! I think my state of mind wasn't helped by a visit to the GP who thinks the lump on my finger is a bcc. Apparently non serious form of skin cancer, but it'll need to be removed and sent away for analysis. Argh there is always something else, isn't there??

ThisToo · 02/06/2016 13:29

Clothes feeling looser is a much better indicator of progress than a number on the scales so sounds like you are doing great kreesh. I'm sorry to hear about the bcc though. I know it is supposed to be the most common form and least likely to spread but I'm sure you must be dreadfully worried still. I hope that you get the treatment you need quickly and all is okay. Flowers

Kreeshsheesh · 02/06/2016 13:57

Thank you. I've just got to get on with it! Smile Perhaps without resorting to CakeChocolateWine

ThisToo · 02/06/2016 14:18

Avoiding the Cake Chocolate and Wine is the tricky bit. Good luck and remember we are here to cheer you on if the going gets tough Smile

Stellar67 · 03/06/2016 07:16

I lost a post. Confused
Kneesh great to see you back. We're we all hiding on the snack sofa?
Sorry to hear about the bcc. Everything crossed for you. Flowers
Thistoo I heard myself in your post. It feels really silly hiding what we eat from MFP. But I have been doing that too.
I joined dry June. Maybe it was a step too far or something went into the ether as I immediately had two invites to specifically have wine, in June. Both people I rarely see so I'm going to go.
Hope everyone's weekends go well!

Claire28will · 03/06/2016 07:49

Kreesh sorry to hear about bcc, I'm waiting to see dermatology for a weird lump on my boob and an X-ray for an arthritic hand (I'm 33!) so I hear you! Hope it turns out to be nothing Flowers

Kreeshsheesh · 03/06/2016 08:41

I've also 'forgotten' to log stuff on MFP. Blush Thanks for the good wishes. Claire, I hope your appointment comes through soon and you can be reassured.

Stellar67 · 06/06/2016 09:03

BlushI've had a terrible weekend. Magnum overload.

Hope your app comes soon Claire.
How are you kreesh?

DS is off sick today after being up half the night and so I was too tired to get up to jog this morning. Foodwise so far so good today. (It's only 9am!)

Claire28will · 06/06/2016 09:55

Thanks stellar it's 11 July so not too long to wait!
I had a terrible food weekend too we went to the seaside yesterday so there was a meal out and ice cream! Confused back at it today just did the 30 day shred now sitting outside in the lovely sunshine waiting on DD getting up from her nap
Have a great week everyone!

ThisToo · 06/06/2016 21:06

Oh dear, I've put 2 more pounds back on this week and am back up to 11st 2lbs. I know it's not the end of the world and I am still fitter and stronger than I was a couple of months ago but the urge to think fuck it and eat ice cream straight from the tub is really strong right now Sad

Kreeshsheesh · 19/06/2016 23:32

Hi everybody how are we all getting on? I did the race for life 5k today - hooray! 2 months ago I could never have done it. My MFP has been in the red a few times recently. Blush I'm determined to lose another half a stone, but it's all going so slowly! I'm also a bit worried that going away for 3 weeks in July might make following MFP a tad tricky! Hope everyone is doing okay! Smile
