Has anyone got 2 stone to lose? I'm starting tomorrow (Monday).

I'm looking for a buddy to join me and help motivate to lose some of this flab! I'm 5'7" and about 12st but will weigh in tomorrow morning.

my husband bought me a Fitbit for our wedding anniversary! Now the real calorie counting will begin! And yes I really did want it, no room for romance when your on a mission! Wink

I'm struggling.

I'm fed up having to evaluate every single thing I eat. I am not sure whether to take a week off and come back or look for another way.

Don't be sorry Stellar. Sometimes it's hard. I find myself feeling resentful at times.

Run through what you're doing now... maybe someone will have an idea on how to tweak it to suit you better.

If you feel like that stellar just let up on your diet for a few days but don't go crazy and eat 5000 calories a day, have a few more treats and then get back on it you won't do any damage that way and can come back refreshed! It's so hard sometimes but I just keep thinking that it's so much better feeling healthy, thiner and more confident than sitting stuffing my face! Good luck and have a lovely weekend!

I'm a slow loser as well. Thyroid/immune probs. I am fairly good at exercising. It's just a long road.

stellar I think this is why we have a whole diet industry as so often "diets" are unsustainable long term and even short term most of us find it really hard going. So, although my goal is to lose 2 stone, I am trying to focus on making changes to my lifestyle which are doable for life and that means being kind to myself and accepting that sometimes I will have fish and chips or an ice cream or not bother logging my food today but as long as I make better choices most of the time those days won't matter. Give yourself a break, recognise the progress you have made and relax a little and then I'm sure you'll find your happy and be back on it again before you know it. Good luck and enjoy the weekend. Totally agree with thistoo! I have had a few extra treats today because I want to basically but I know it won't put back the weight I have lost so long as I get back on track tomorrow! Happy Friday everyone!

Morning all!

I went to a school thing this morning and two people blanked me. Then they came up to me at the end and said they had no idea it was me, and I was half the size and they'd been trying to work out who on earth I was!! Haha, I did have a hat and sunglasses on, so in disguise, but am stoked that it's really starting to notice.

And the funny thing is the last time I lost loads of weight I would privately feel FURIOUS if anyone commented, I thought it was none of their business and their comments just made me feel crap for old, fat me. But this time I'm delighted!

How are you feeling today Stellar? hope you're enjoying your break from writing it all down. We need it sometimes. Weightloss can't be one steep diagonal line down - it's a bumpy line with an overall trend of down.

Hi everyone I feel sympathy for everyone who feels like they're losing their way a bit or frustrated/resentful. I've not had the best week calorie wise. I keep wanting to snack and have also felt meh when it comes to exercise. It's like a cloud has appeared over my head and stolen my motivation. I suspect it may be hormone related. I wish I could get my head back into gear. These are the moments which are so dangerous to me. In the past I've just given up completely at this point!!Sad

Kreesh I've been exactly the same. But this morning I ran 5k and it was brilliant. So I'm back in the zone. I also feel a bit ill from the burger I had after so that may be helping me look to salad again with the knowledge I don't feel rubbish after I have one.

Stellar that's good, well done. I did my c25k this morning and actually managed to keep running uphill for 6 mins, hurrah! I'm on week 5 now so it jumps to ten mins running by the end of the week. We can do this! Going to a concert tonight so will try to avoid the half time snacks!

Well done. Mine was mainly flat. I don't really do hills, which is unfortunate as I live on a hill!

I have no idea what's going on with my weigh ins.

Last week I had put on 2 lbs.

This week I appear to have lost 7 lbs.

This all seems unlikely. So, I'm ignoring the numbers and focusing on the fact that I look and feel slimmer, my clothes are looser, and I'm eating healthily and exercising lots.

I suppose I could look at it as a 5 lb loss over 2 weeks. That seems reasonable...?

Great job on the running kreesh and stellar Star. I really need to up my exercise somehow but finding time and energy is easier said than done.

Wow 7lbs Shock sharing that is a lot. Is it possible the gain the week before was just a blip on the scales (maybe water?) Either way you're doing amazingly - keep it up Star

I managed to lose the pound I gained last week plus another 2lbs so that's good. I'm down to 11 stone dead so looking forward to (hopefully) being back to "10 stone something" next week which feels much better than the "nearly 12 stone" I was a couple of months ago. Thanks for all the support everyone!

Thistoo that's great too I know the feeling of moving into that next stone bracket it's so satisfying! I can't wait for my holiday but I have woken up with a really sore throat it better not develop into anything more!

Hello. I hope you're all having a good week?
Thought I'd just report in with a couple of positives I've had this week.

Yesterday I made some carrot and apple juice, as requested by DS2, and found it so sweet I had to water it down. I knew I had a sweet tooth but I hadn't realised how desensitised I'd become. After a few weeks of cutting right back on sugary things and sticking mostly to berries rather than grapes, bananas and apples when it comes to fruit I've really noticed a difference (and had less bloating).
Another positive sign that my efforts are paying off is the 4% reduction in body fat I've achieved over the last 4 weeks Grin

I know I still have a bit over a stone to go to reach my target but I feel like my head is finally in the right place to actually achieve it this time.

I'm currently sunning myself in Lanzarote! I weighed in on Saturday before I went and had lost 4 pound total of 2 stone 4 pound! I am so trying not to overeat and I'm walking every morning for an hour so I'm hoping to maintain!
