I'm looking for a buddy to join me and help motivate to lose some of this flab! I'm 5'7" and about 12st but will weigh in tomorrow morning.

I've been doing courgetti too. It's better stir fried than steamed i think.

Claire28will · 27/04/2016 21:12

Definitely Sharing, really fills you up too and gives the illusion of carbs! I miss them Confused

HelenF35 · 27/04/2016 21:23

I'm 5ft 8 and now 12st 10. Have lost 11.5lbs on slimming world in 3 weeks and got 2 stone 3lbs to target.

Stellar67 · 27/04/2016 22:32

I like courgetti. I like courgettes in general!
How's the running going sharing? My insoles are ready to fit so fingers crossed my knee issue is over. Because I'm actually enjoying this malarkey.
Welcome Helen. You are doing brilliantly.

I'm off to bed, covered in Vicks. DH will love it. GrinWink

Claire28will · 27/04/2016 22:53

Well done Helen that's amazing you will be at target in no time!
Stellar I'm also enjoying all this a little too much maybe I'm perhaps bordering on obsession! So I'm making a point of having a glass of wine or two over the bank holiday! Of course whilst staying within my calorie limit! Wink

Morning all. I am feeling so much better and am back on track food wise and am looking forward to my HiiT class tonight. Sorry you now have a sore throat stellar I hope you get well soon and get to test out those new insoles soon.

Hi Helen wow, what a great start. Welcome to the thread.

Seeing the courgetti and cauli rice comments I just wanted to throw boodles into the mix. They are noodles/spaghetti made from butternut squash. I discovered sainsburys sell them in the chilled section and you just microwave them for 3 mins, job done. We tried them for the first time this week with some home made bolognese. The taste was good and the texture was better than courgetti I think as they are not as watery. Half the bag was too much though. I'll definitely be getting them again.

Instamum · 28/04/2016 07:23

I love butternut squash! Will give that a try for sure

Claire28will · 28/04/2016 07:33

Well done for getting back on track thistoo Smile

SharingMichelle · 28/04/2016 12:05

I'm having a disappointing day. For some reason my tummy is really big and bloated. It's a lot easier to be good when i feel I'm slimming down and looking good. What's the point if i still look like i ate all the pies?

Claire28will · 28/04/2016 16:45

Keep going sharing just think how amazing you will feel in a months time if you keep up your regime Smile

victoria211 · 28/04/2016 22:53

Need to shift 2 stone minimum 😨

SharingMichelle · 29/04/2016 07:20

Welcome Victoria :) I am 5'4 and was 12st 2lb at the start of the month. Have lost a stone already. Getting there!

Stellar67 · 29/04/2016 07:31

Hi everyone, welcome Victoria. I'm still coughing and sneezing. Drinking a lot of hot chocolate. It's snowing. I'm not in the zone right now.

victoria211 · 29/04/2016 08:02

Sharing how?! X

SharingMichelle · 29/04/2016 12:41

Under 1400 calories a day (no booze, no bad days)
Running twice a week (not far - under 5k)
PT strength training session twice a week.
Tennis twice a week.

Kreeshsheesh · 29/04/2016 19:15

Hi everyone. I'm sorry I've been off the radar a bit. I've had yukky cold all this week - I'm a coughing and sneezing mess. I haven't been out running since last Saturday and I can feel myself losing my mojo as I've only wanted to comfort eat. I have lost just under 1lb since last week though. I'll soon gain it at this rate!!

Claire28will · 30/04/2016 20:32

Hope your feeling better soon kreesh don't worry too much about being too good!

I'm struggling with all sorts of bank holiday treats!!! I'm staying under my calorie goal but the last two days have been hard!! Weigh day is tomorrow for me and I don't know if I will get the 3 pound I had hoped for off!

Kreeshsheesh · 30/04/2016 20:52

Hi Claire, you've been very good. It's tricky when there are treats abound! We have a drawer full of Easter chocolate still, believe it or not. I've overdone it again today calories wise in spite of trying to exercise by doing a walk early on, then later with the family. I'll need to get back on track tomorrow! Good luck with your weigh in! Smile

Claire28will · 01/05/2016 07:40

3 pound off this week think I might have a cheeky glass of wine today to celebrate! Totally of 1st 9lb
Have about 3 stone to go still though!

SharingMichelle · 01/05/2016 09:43

Another 2 lbs off here. Over a stone gone. One to go.

Claire28will · 01/05/2016 16:47

Well done sharing Smile

Cjbusymummy · 01/05/2016 19:42

How are you lovely ladies planning on losing the weight? I've also been so down about my weight gain after having two babies back to back. I'm determined to get back to my prepregnancy weight. So far I'm down 1 stone in a month. Just need the motivation to keep going 😩

Claire28will · 02/05/2016 08:09

Cjbusy I am calorie counting with My fitness pal and doing work outs at home, currently using Davina 5 week fit and on week 5, going to zumba once a week when I can (I have a 4 month dd so time is sometimes hard to find!) and going for a lot of walks! I haven't had any alcohol either which is helping I think!

ThisToo · 02/05/2016 08:11

Hi everyone. I hope the colds are clearing up.

Just weighed in and I've lost 3lb this week which was a very nice surprise Shock I thought maybe 1lb, 2lb if I was lucky. I did have some very good days last week which I think off set the Easter chocolate binge (I think I've finally eaten it all!)

I'll have to be good again for the next few days after a splurge at an ice cream place we took the kids to yesterday (I had a raspberry sundae Blush) I had to guess the calorie content by searching mfp for sundaes and then picking one with the most calories and using that. I think I still underestimated though.

cj when I'm not eating Easter chocs and sundaes I have been eating more protein, less carbs and trying to cut out sugar (obviously I often fail on that bit). I struggle to fit exercise in due to full time job and two kids but have joined a HiiT class which is supposed to be the best exercise for fat burning. Sounds like you are doing great if you've lost a stone in your first month Smile just got to keep going!

Claire28will · 02/05/2016 18:46

Well done thistoo! A loss like that is really motivating you'll do great with the will power!
