I'm delighted! Hoping I can keep this pace up!!

Stellar67 · 24/04/2016 08:46

Well done Claire. That's fantastic.
Well done on the run sharing.

I plodded around the park run and I didn't walk any of it. Took me ages but I did it. So pretty chuffed. Smile

Claire28will · 24/04/2016 09:02

Well done stellar you will get quicker every week now!

SharingMichelle · 24/04/2016 12:10

Well done Stellar. I find the first 5 minutes the worst.

ijustwanttobeme · 24/04/2016 15:39

Well done to the newbie runners/ exercisers. I'm not a fitness fan really, but am still following the Insanity programme although it's hard going some days.

Heard some shocking news yesterday that has tipped me into emotional eating to the max! Yesterday I had almost 2500 cals.

Today, I hoped to be better but a 6.00 am start to do a boot sale with my DFriend in the sleety snowy rain, meant we tucked into fast food instead of holding out till we got home.

In terms of eating sensibly, weekends aren't good for me (even without yesterday's news). I'm better off being at work I think.

SharingMichelle · 25/04/2016 03:15

Weigh in day. Another 3 lbs off. My clothes are all fitting so much better. No one has told me I've lost weight yet though. Think i need to up the exercise routine. Will be running 3 times a week from now on to try and shed the lbs.

SharingMichelle · 25/04/2016 03:17

Sorry about your shocking news ijustwant i hope you're feeling okay. Even if you aren't perfect with your food choices during the weekend you're still doing great by sticking to it for 5 weekdays.

Claire28will · 25/04/2016 07:57

Well done sharing!

ThisToo · 25/04/2016 10:45

Hi everyone. Big congrats to those with weight losses this week, well done everyone Star

I've stayed the same this week which is okay given how badly I came off the rails early on. Then I caught ANOTHER viral thing so missed my HiiT class and am currently still nursing a sore throat and cough. I can't believe how many bugs I've had this year Sad I'm mentally linking my sugar binge to then becoming ill in the hope that that thought will prevent me from caving into the sugar cravings (again!)

So anyway, I didn't really complete my mfp entries last week and I ate rubbish and didn't exercise but, today is Monday again and another fresh start so I'll see how I go this week. Very inspiring to hear about everyone's weight losses and exercise plans though so I hope, if I keep an eye on this thread this week and stay away from the sweets, I will get back on track.

Claire28will · 25/04/2016 22:19

Hope you feel better thistoo don't worry about this week, you can't do much when your not feeling great, I just comfort eat my way through any sickness!

ijustwanttobeme · 25/04/2016 22:38

Thanks sharing had a better day today, and kept below calorie limit.

I have stayed the same , so like this too will be trying harder(again) this week.

Congrats to all those who have lost and hopefully I can be one of those losers next Monday Smile

Stellar67 · 26/04/2016 07:26

Thanks all. My knee has started twining again but I have insole things to get so fingers crossed that will turn me into Paula Radcliffe help.

Get well soon Thistoo. I always eat when I'm not feeling well.

Hope everything gets back on an even keel soon Ijust. Glad yesterday was better.

Well done sharing. You are doing brilliantly.

I am weighing in tomorrow as usual. I think I prefer a midweek weigh in. Monday's are bad enough in this house Grin

Stellar67 · 26/04/2016 07:27

*twinging..... Not got three knees ;-)

I didn't get time for breakfast this morning (it was coffee or breakfast) but scoffed half a conference pear while making the children's lunch boxes. Worked all morning - no time to eat. Left work and taxied the children around. Whooshed round the supermarket. It's now almost 3.

Got home and there was ONE small slice of sweet potato and spinach fritata left. Score! Put it on a plate with a bit of ketchup. Sit down to eat it. The cat jumps up to say hello and SNEEZES all over my fricking fritata!!! I saw cat sneeze juice spraying all over it. I could not be sadder about anything in the world right now. Fritata in the bin. Am tempted to eat the cat instead.

BanjoPier · 26/04/2016 13:01

Poor Sharing, poor fritata Sad. Well done losers and runners.

Looks like I'm doing a "slow and steady" weight loss rather than magnificant and impressive.

weigh in : 12st 0lb
Llbs lost this week : 1
Llbs lost overall : 4
goal : 9st 7lbs
age : 40
height : 5ft 6

Losing 1lb per week, but I'm not exercising at all (yet). I know I need to do it, I just can't be arsed to get started - arrrgh!!! I'm on a 27 day streak with MFP and I've only gone over my calorie count on 3 of those days so I'm not doing too badly on the food front. Weekends are hard though!

I measured out 50g of dried spagetti - it fits inside my wedding ring (and I don't have massive sausage fingers!). It makes me realise how much portion control (or lack of it) over the years has contributed to my current bulk.

Stellar67 · 26/04/2016 13:25

Banjo well done!

Totally with you on the portion size reality. I think I ate for four most days. Confused

SharingMichelle · 26/04/2016 14:58

Has everyone else discovered cauliflower rice? I had never tried it but it's really good and much lower cal than real rice. I'm having that with lentil chili this evening.

ijustwanttobeme · 26/04/2016 20:18

sharing can you make cauliflower rice without a food processor? Bought a cauliflower today funnily enough, and was going to make cauliflower cheese with it, but I like the idea of the rice, so I can have a curry without the carby rice.

Banjo I have a 30 day streak now and want to continue as long as I can. My old manager had been using MFP continuously for over a year (something like 400 days) and it had just become part of his daily routine, whereas I still have to remember to log my food in. So Saturday I forgot and had to do it the next day- luckily it still counted as a continuous streak.

Another one here who overdoes portion sizes. 50g and it only fits inside a wedding ring?? I try and serve DP and DSS's dinner on our large plates and mine on the smaller ones, but even the am sure it's too much.

Am with DM most of tomorrow at the hospital- will have to make sure I make sensible hospital cafe choices... Will have a proper breakfast in the morning and try and exist just on coffees whilst we're there.

Stellar67 · 26/04/2016 20:23

I made a cauliflower pizza base once. Never again. Maybe mixed with more sauce might make it better.

I have a sore throat. Envy

Stellar67 · 27/04/2016 07:07

Argh I've stayed the same. Confused I'm going to go through MFP and see what I've been doing.

SharingMichelle · 27/04/2016 09:53

Well the recipes online say you can cut it up really small with a knife Ijust. Much easier with a processor though. Maybe a cheese grater would work though?

That's annoying Stellar. Better than a gain though.

Stellar67 · 27/04/2016 09:58

I think I'll just have to start weighing stuff. It's so annoying.

I've got two mini mes on each shoulder today. The naughty one is saying just eat the contents of the kitchen. Virtuous one is sliding down my back. Hmm

I'm going to make soup.... And keep my negativity away.

SharingMichelle · 27/04/2016 10:50

I weigh. It's a faff but I often really surprise myself with how much things actually weigh.

I had some chilli for lunch today - put a normal amount into a bowl and it was 360g! I would have guessed about 200g.

Claire28will · 27/04/2016 15:44

Joining in late to the cauliflower rice conversation but just wanted to
Add courgetti is amazing!!! I have been using it in place of pasta and sometimes instead of noodles in a stir fry
