I'm looking for a buddy to join me and help motivate to lose some of this flab! I'm 5'7" and about 12st but will weigh in tomorrow morning.

cocoa and kreesh you both have done well.

Have just returned from Italian meal with DP. My starter was 12 olives, for main I had salmon fillet, broccoli, carrots and green beans. I left all the sautéed potato and only drank Diet Coke. Didn't even look at the dessert menu either. Am feeling very pleased with myself.

If weather is good, DP has arranged for us to go the coast with DSD and her family tomorrow. That means fish and chips on the seafront. Have told him, as there's no such thing as low carb fish and chips, all I'll be able to have is a pickled onion or gherkin! Any suggestions as to what I could have? lets hope it rains, so we don't go

hellokittehhhh · 02/04/2016 23:02

cocoa , kreesh , ijust, you've all done so well...I've eaten pizza and gone over my calories by about 300 Sad

Kreeshsheesh · 02/04/2016 23:27

DH and I did have some m and s Indian stuff which was yummy, but I stuck to Bombay aloo sag and took less rice / samosa than I would have normally! You did well with that dinner out ijustwanttobeme . I hope someone else can give you advice on a low carb alternative for fish and chips. I only ever eat the fish inside the batter. If eat the batter itself it can make me feel unbelievably sick and bloated. hellokitten don't worry. I always think it's the calories / exercise across the whole week that counts really. You have to let yourself have the treat every now and then. (That's my excuse for eating a fair bit of Harry hopalot yesterday!) Good night all!

Kreeshsheesh · 02/04/2016 23:34

Sorry just noticed your name is hellokittehhh. Sorry! Blush

Cocoaone · 03/04/2016 07:59

Kreesh - well done on avoiding cake! It's my Sister's bday gathering today, so I'll try not to have any cake. Or just a tiny slice...

Ijust - I have no idea - maybe avoid the chips and have just the fish, no batter? Take some nuts and crudités with you?

Tiredemma · 03/04/2016 08:10

Morning all.

well yesterday started with all good intentions (as is often the case! hence my rotund appearance.)

I did so well up until 6pm- had even taken the dog and DD2 out for a 5k walk (dog lead strapped to my belt around my waist- DD2 on her trike with me pushing- disaster as DD kept trying to climb out- but thats another story on its own)

Anyway- neighbours invite us around for a cup of tea that ended up being 3 glasses of prosecco and a chinese banquet for 6........

dreading my weigh in this am..... will feedback

Stellar67 · 03/04/2016 08:15

Ijust have fish, take off the batter, and peas?

Kreesh good work on the cake.

This thread is moving fast. I've had a bad weekend but drawing a line. DS2 has a party today so I'll be dodging the buffet. I love a buffet and even thinking about all the little fingers germing up everything does not bother me.

tigerchair · 03/04/2016 09:42

Hi everyone Smile
Not sure how my weigh in will go in the morning, have had a lot of wine over the last few days. Was out for dinner last night, had steak and skinny fries...Feel like I've put weight on rather than lost it this week.Feel so blosted today....
Next week will be better, no wine for a start!!

Hope you all having a good weekend. Ijust, agree that fish without the batter and some peas sounds like a plan (although I feel a bit hypocritical giving advice when I have eaten fries yesterday!!!)

Kreeshsheesh · 03/04/2016 10:03

Morning everyone. I didn't start until Wednesday so I'm going to weigh in next Sunday. To be honest I took a sneaky look on scales and I've gained weight! Sad I've been reading a great book called 'Running Made Easy'. It has a section in which you have to do all your measurements and calculate body fat percentage. Apparently my waist size puts me into the high risk category for heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The body fat percentage wasn't good either. Okay. Now I know, I've tried to not burst into tears and instead I'm about to go out for week 2 day 1 of couch to 5k. Hope you all have a happy & healthy day. Smile

Titsalinabumsquash · 03/04/2016 10:07

I ate so much fruit yesterday that I think I've probably put on weight but I'm still going to plough on.
Had my shake this morning with a coffee. I'm going to immerse myself in housework to try and not think about food!
I need to come up with a healthy dinner to feed us all this evening.

tigerchair · 03/04/2016 10:50

I would love to start running again kreesh, I did a lot of 10k's then started injuring myself so much I stopped about 3 years ago. Would love to get back to 5k runs, I might make that this week's goal and try to get out for a run. Will be a complete beginner again so will start the couchto5k plan.

Yeah I'm going to keep ploughing on too, titsalina. Feel so bloated today but will drink loads of water and keep focused!

Tiredemma · 03/04/2016 14:11

MyAsics Plan has just reminded me that I have a 4.5 mile run tonight so I suppose the shameful chinese banquet will be eradicated.

Love reading all your updates btw- so motivating xx

ijustwanttobeme · 03/04/2016 14:13

No seaside jaunt today after all, but thanks to those who gave me low carb suggestions.

Instead, have eaten almost 2/3 of my 1100 calorie intake already. We're going to g to DSDs for dinner tonight. She's doing a fairly low carb meal apparently so I should be ok.

Am back at work tomorrow after three weeks leave. I need to get my act together and make up lunches and snacks otherwise I'll be straight into the biscuits and cake.

I'll weigh in first thing tomorrow morning and let you know how I've got on. I better have lost something, or else I'll get demoralised and stuff a jam doughnut in my face Sad

Kreeshsheesh · 03/04/2016 14:24

tigerchair I've just entered a 5k race for life in June! Arghh was I mad? Never done anything like it before and I'm a rubbish runner.
ijustwanttobeme My work provides lunch and that is going to be my biggest issue. They also leave cakes and biccies around A LOT. Honestly, it's temptation nightmare. We shall both have to stay strong. I get the 'well I might as well eat a donut,' feeling if you havent lost weight, but don't you find it sometimes comes off in blocks at a time instead of every week? Fingers crossed for your weigh in.
tired 4.5 miles? Wow! You can defo inspire me to run further!

tigerchair · 03/04/2016 20:56

Kreesh, you'll be fine for the 5k Smile ... what I loved about running was that you can see an improvement quite quickly as you run and train
more. You'll be hooked by the time you finish your first 5k race!! I'm quite excited to have made decision to start again (although not today as I still can't use stairs without pain after single leg presses at gym on Friday!! Grin)

Food been ok calories wise today. I don't think I'll see a loss on the scales tomorrow but I'm happy that I feel more in control of my eating this week. Thanks everyone for keeping me motivated x

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardaon · 03/04/2016 22:06

I'm dreading weigh in tomorrow. We've been enjoying the easter holidays too much. I won't have lost a thing. :(

ijustwanttobeme · 03/04/2016 22:37

Went over again by 100 or so calories. I did an insanity workout this morning, so I'm not beating myself up too much.

FODR Maybe this first weigh in should be looked at without too much scrutiny- I mean we started at the worst time (apart from Christmas), is: there's still so much Chocolate around, it was impossible to stay on the straight and narrow.

Kreesh good for you signing up for a 5k.

Cocoaone · 04/04/2016 06:29

I lost weight!

I've also got up and completed day 4 of 30 day shred. Back to work today, so I'm really hoping I can keep it all up - things are about to get manically busy again. But these past 6 days (I started on Tuesday) are the longest I've stuck with any kind of weight loss plan in bloody ages - so thank you all for your support! Thanks

Weigh in: 11st 4.25
Lbs lost this week: 1.5
lbs lost overall: 1.5
Goal weight: 10st
Age: 32
Height: 5'5"
BMI: 26.3 (down 0.3)
Motivation: Holiday early June, bridesmaid end of Aug.

Pinkvici22 · 04/04/2016 07:50

Well done coco

Thank you for all the supportive messages - DD is much better this morning. I'm not weighing in until later in the week (bad start last week!). I had a good weekend though.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's losses x

Stellar67 · 04/04/2016 08:05

Wel done coco!

And well done to the c25k/running people. I started c25k, up to 25 mins, and then I hurt my knee, and back. So I'm taking it easy, but hoping to get back to it soon.

I don't think my weigh in is till Wednesday, but I weighed myself today and I'm 1.5lbs down. So very pleased, because most of the week I've been lying down!

Titsalinabumsquash · 04/04/2016 08:09

I've lost 2lbs when weighed this morning. I'm a bit disappointed, I would have liked more since 2 of my meals are liquid by oh well it's better than nothing or a gain.
I'm going to make the shakes 1/2 water and milk for a few days to see if it gives it a boost.
I think my dinners are too big. I'll work on that too. Mfp has me
Coming in at 1100 cals though.,

ThisToo · 04/04/2016 08:32

Well done cocoa and tits that's a great start (you shouldn't be disappointed tits, 2lbs is a sizeable lump of lard) and sounds like stella is well on the way to a good weigh in too Smile
Unsurprisingly I was exactly the same as last week when I got on the scales this morning. I am determined to have a good week this week though. I think I should sign up to mfp.

Kreeshsheesh · 04/04/2016 09:02

Well done everyone! Like I said in a pp, I'm not weighing in until next time. Got my dbil coming today for a few days then my other dbil & dsil tomorrow for dd's birthday get together. There will be temptations a plenty! I just know they're all going to bring more chocolate for the dc. Sad
stellar I also got up to 25mins then had to stop on c25k about 18 months ago. My knee is twingey already. I have very flat feet (have orthotics in my normal shoes) so I think I need to buy proper trainers. I'll need to find s shop where they analyse your gait. Oh the joys!

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 04/04/2016 09:13

Well done to the losers and fingers crossed for those who've waiting. I've lost 3lb since Tuesday but weigh the same as I did before pig out Easter weekend. This coming week will be the real tester. I haven't been below 12:10 since autumn.

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 04/04/2016 09:14

11:10. Blush
