I'm looking for a buddy to join me and help motivate to lose some of this flab! I'm 5'7" and about 12st but will weigh in tomorrow morning.

Nope - my 'because it's Friday night' is chilling in the fridge and I can't justify both Smile

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 01/04/2016 21:07

Though I might be seeing things differently when I'm halfway down the bottle WinkGrin

Kreeshsheesh · 01/04/2016 21:34

Enjoy the Wine

Dalmatian2017 · 01/04/2016 21:44

Hello everyone! What do you do if you are running out of calories and you are peckish? I have options got chic as it takes away my cravings but I'm starting to get bored of this now. Carrot sticks are cutting it either! I'm looking forward to weigh in to check I've actually lost something this week!

Tomorrow will be a test as I'll be with my DM most of the day and she doesn't do diets. I'll get an old fashioned look and much muttering under her breath when I tell her I'm cutting down and don't want a massive fry up for breakfast. So she'll push umpteen packets of biscuits at me, to go with my coffee (made with full fat or evaporated milk) . If I manage to swerve on those, she'll offer cakes and desserts that she bought just for me ...if I say no, they get bagged up for me to take home. So wish me luck Smile

Cocoaone · 01/04/2016 22:12

Ijustwanttobeme - poor you, I'd find that so hard to resist! I've never even heard of evap milk in coffee! Good luck, maybe tell her you're trying to eat more healthily, rather than cutting back to lose weight. Will that make any difference?

Dalmatian - it's the worse time isn't it? I try to have a cup of decaf tea - but then I'm gambling with having to get up in the night to wee!

Expanding - resisting choc after having a glass of wine will require super willpower good luck!

I poured a small G& slimline T tonight, as is customary when I start prepping decorations for a cake (DD wants a little mermaid cake for her bday next week). That's already led to 35 carefully weighed grams of her Easter egg working its way into my belly...

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 01/04/2016 23:25

Well I have resisted the chocolate but not the Bombay mix Wotsits or sundried tomatoes and herbes de fucking provence crisps. Sigh.
Note toself - just give up the wine for the duration dear

ijustwanttobeme · 01/04/2016 23:57

cocoa it is hard when I'm at my DM's, as I always end up overeating.

DP put a new fence and patio at hers, and so was there for a few weeks. DM was offering food from the minute he got there till he went home. She's Indian and so it'd be curry, chapattis, naan etc for lunch!! At any other job, he'd have eaten a cheese sarnie and a piece of fruit.

Evaporated milk in coffee must be particular to my DM as hardly anyone else I know has ever heard of it, although some of my friends said their (West Indian) parents drank the same.

dalmation I'd have a herbal (2cals) or a spiced tea (50 cals inc milk). Or brush my teeth to stop me eating any more.

GertrudeBadger · 02/04/2016 06:13

I also find an early night can help - not exciting but a lot of my later evening snacking is when I'm just tired and should go to bed

Tiredemma · 02/04/2016 07:54

I went to bed at 8pm as the urge to smother myself in the entire contents of the fridge was overwhelming. Plus DP had some cheese on toast and I visualised ripping it from his hands and eating it. Thought it best to hide under the covers until morning.

Cocoaone · 02/04/2016 08:49

Morning Ladies!

Today is a new day (and beautiful, here at least!) - here's to making good choices Thanks

I have just done day 3 of 30DS, and had a healthier breakfast (thrown away the rest of the crunchy nut cornflakes!) to offset the calorific MIL dinner tonight

MorrisZapp · 02/04/2016 09:17

I'm MorrisZapp, here are my stats;

Weight: 11.2
Lost this week: nowt
Lost so far: nowt
Goal weight: 10 stone
Height: 5.4
Age: 44
Motivation : an amazing pair of jeans currently taunting me from my wardrobe. Horrible upper thigh chub rub. Think I'm peri too, need to head this mother off at the pass.

Exercise is no problem, I run long distances. It's food, always food that's my downfall. Carbs and sugar.

I lost weight last summer and by golly I'll do it again and better this year.

Stellar67 · 02/04/2016 09:36

Emma early nights are going to be my new thing too. Snacking at night is bad!

ThisToo · 02/04/2016 09:39

Hello Morris I am a fellow carbs and sugar lover who is trying to change her ways. Great that you are already exercising though. I desperately need to get my bum moving but my current excuse is a cold my 3 year old has kindly decided to share with me Sad

Morning everyone else. I fell off the thread yesterday whilst drowning in a sea of snotty tissues and self pity Blush. Sorry to read that many have been struggling with temptation. Like Cocoa said though - today is a new day Smile

Where did you find the strength to throw out the Crunchy Nut Shock Cocoa? I would have eaten the whole box for sure, I'm so impressed!

Cocoaone · 02/04/2016 09:42

Hi Morriszapp!

Thistoo - to be fair - there's only 1 or two portions left. And it's just too tempting...

Pinkvici22 · 02/04/2016 09:49

Hi all, I'm checking in again as last week went really badly. DD was very ill (now out of hospital and on the mend with lots of meds), and my emotional eating kicked in.

I'm starting afresh today - I'm determined to get on track and have a good week. Ive got to the point where my clothes are feeling uncomfortable and I hate it.

Hope everyone's having a good day Smile

ThisToo · 02/04/2016 09:53

Seriously impressed Cocoa, one or two portions would have made an ideal and irresistible snack in this house Blush

ThisToo · 02/04/2016 09:59

Morning Pink. Sorry your DD has been so ill. I hope she gets well soon and that you get back on track today.

Titsalinabumsquash · 02/04/2016 10:18

Gah DP is miffed that I don't want to go for a picnic! He doesn't understand why I don't fancy sitting in a park with my shake while they all tuck into sandwiches and cakes. Confused

Pinkvici22 · 02/04/2016 10:35

Thanks ThisToo

ijustwanttobeme · 02/04/2016 11:37

pink sorry to hear about your DD, hope she gets well soon.

tits - could you make up a huge salad, and have that as well as the shake? (I realise it's not quite the same as picnicking on sandwich and cake) .

Well, a calorific breakfast at DM's was avoided as we went to our local NT garden centre to look round and so I had a herbal tea and half an egg mayo sandwich. Feeling good Smile

DP wants to go out tonight. He has in mind a place that does the best pizzas ever, but as I'm meant to be low carbing and have had bread already, I don't want any more carbs. It's my Insanity rest day, so not even going to burn off those carby calories.

Happy Saturday everyone.

hellokittehhhh · 02/04/2016 12:05

Corrrrr...this thread is moving fast!
hello to new joiners I'm kitty2107 on mfp if you're on there and want to add me Smile

pink so sorry to hear about your dd, hope she gets better soon!

Good luck to all those out and about today, I've just been to town with the kids and go them a mcdonalds , I've come home and I'm having chicken and cous cous salad. I really struggle to stay motivated and on track on my days off. I'm going to try and do some exercise today as I won't be doing anywhere near as well with my fitbit today...managed 20,000 steps yesterday at work!

tired and gert I find an early night helps too with my evening snacking. Although last night I spent ages sorting my wardrobe out and have got all the nice clothes I have in there ready for me to wear!

ijust is there any way to check the menu see if there's a low carbon option??

cocoa I need some of your exercise mojo! I've got 30 day shred but really hurts my knees so trying the charlotte Crosby dvd hopefully today!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Kreeshsheesh · 02/04/2016 12:12

Hi Morris good to see you on here with us. Hi also to Pink. I hope your dd is well and truly on the mend.
I measured my cereal this morning. 35g is NOTHING! I've just been to sainsbos and have bought a pot of pineapple. Although it's high in sugar, it's better than what they had in the cafe, the smell of which was making me feel sooo hungry! Have a good weekend everyone!

Cocoaone · 02/04/2016 20:50

Pink - your poor DD! I hope she's better now (and you're feeling less stressed!)

So dinner at MILs wasn't too bad..... she'd made Moussaka of which I had a serving spoon and a half, a side salad and one alive of garlic baguette. And strawberries with a teeny bit of single cream. However, MIL did mention that she had double cream for the strawberries, but put it all in the Mousakka Confused

I think I looked about 650 cals for that, but I have no clue what it should be.

Kreeshsheesh · 02/04/2016 21:37

cocoa sounds like you've done well there! A friend came armed with a carrot cake. I managed to avoid having a slice. Hurrah! Grin
