I'm looking for a buddy to join me and help motivate to lose some of this flab! I'm 5'7" and about 12st but will weigh in tomorrow morning.

Expanding - you've never had a tummy bug?!

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 31/03/2016 18:30

Nope. I've been sick with too much alcohol or after a general anaesthetic, in labour etc but never a tummy bug that I can remember - though I might have had one as a child.

Cocoaone · 31/03/2016 18:46

I'm the same as expanding; stomach of steel. I was last sick about 8 years ago from drinking too much, and never get the runs either. Probably have killer stomach acid Grin

Good day here, still got over 100cals left for a snack later, and managed to only pinch one chip at the party.

Cocoaone · 31/03/2016 18:48

Actually probably longer than 8 years ago! And I had awful nausea when I was pregnant with DD, but was never actually sick. My body likes to keep hold of it's food!

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 31/03/2016 19:11

I think I've passed my constitution onto my DCs too. DH on the other hand has what I laughingly call an 'emotional colon'. Grin

Cocoaone · 31/03/2016 19:28

Haha! DH has to spend ages on the toilet if he's been 'cramped' up in the car for more than half an hour. I keep telling him that's not normal....

DD is nearly six and has only been proper sick (not including baby milk vom) twice in her life so far, so I'm hoping she's more inclined to have my genes there!

ijustwanttobeme · 31/03/2016 19:37

How's everyone done today?

Four/five days in, is usually test of willpower time for me and im feeling it right now. Doesn't help with time of the month approaching. Am trying hard to stay strong - I can do this I can I can I can Smile

I've added my dinner already to MFP and I'm 20 cals over. Like I said in an earlier post, I'll brush my teeth straight afterwards so I don't be tempted to snack.

Cocoaone · 31/03/2016 19:57

Ijustwanttobeme - time of the month is evil - stay strong!

Bloody DH is ordering pizza, I've already eaten but usually I'll get some onion rings. Not tonight! I swear I better have lost some weight when I step on those scales

lorelei9here · 31/03/2016 19:59

Wow some people are lucky
Then again if I had an iron stomach I'd probably be at risk of eating a lot more
I can't eat three courses in a restaurant...and I only pick two things at a buffet because I get nauseous if there's a mix of food sloshing about.

I don't seem to be hungry for dinner today, bit shocking, maybe the carrot, Apple, orange I had at 4pm? (I will probably get hungry later, not ideal).

FirstOfficerDouglasRichardaon · 31/03/2016 21:21

Went over my calories again today. I think I'll consider this week as a warm up, ready for the big push afterwards! ;)

Kreeshsheesh · 31/03/2016 21:23

Ijustwanttobeme - that recipe looks yum. I'm going to try it. Thank you. Smile

Kreeshsheesh · 31/03/2016 21:30

Yes, I struggle big time before my period. (Although I don't have any due to Mirena, my raging need to consume everything in sight tells me it's that time again!) What do others do at this time? I'm not sure a nice healthy fruit option or some crudités is going to work for me when all I want to eat is a loaf of bread or one all of the kids' Easter eggs you wouldn't believe how many are in this house (not from us) and still more to come from relatives

I always fall for the bread!
Well done everyone.
Fodr yes I am struggling with the calories. I may up mine a little for a while and then slowly decrease.
Expanding I also have an iron stomach. Fibre is working for you!
Cocoa your DH is a saboteur! Mine made me a sandwich today loaded with mayo and calorie laden stuff. I haven't been well so he's been helping me. *
Kreesh* I also struggle with hoovering the cupboards. I have to sit on my hands or clean the house. But I eat everything. That's why I'm here!

Cocoaone · 01/04/2016 09:00

Body. Aching. So. Much

Giving 30 shred a miss today, as plan on lots of walking around a farm, but might go out for a run walk with 30 seconds of jogging thrown in tonight

Tiredemma · 01/04/2016 09:19

Yesterday was a resounding success in terms of calorie intake until about 7pm last night when I found a 'Harry Hopalot' easter bunny egg in the cupboard.

I demolished it. All 542 calories of it, and felt disgusting as I added it to MFP diary.

I have weighed myself today however and do seem to have lost 3lbs since my weigh in last sunday- but am aware that I weighed myself on sunday in the evening - not the morning

Hello to all my new MFP friends by the way!!! (emlouwat)

Stellar67 · 01/04/2016 09:31

MFP is good for shaming isn't it!

Well done on the loss.

Enjoy the walk/jog. It's raining and windy here. So I'll be concentrating on not eating rubbish!

flabby81 · 01/04/2016 10:54

Can I join in a little late? I'm sick to death of listening to myself moan about my weight, of starting new diets every monday and falling straight into a bucket of chocolate by wednesday. Have failed miserably at low carbing, slimming world, weight watchers, fasting... you name it I've done it!

I'm 5ft 6 and about 12st 12lbs. Am away today but will weigh properly tomorrow morning at home.

Am signing up to MFP and hoping for general sensible eating and lots of exercise too which I know is key for me.

Have a wedding in 4 weeks with a dress that's a little too tight so hoping to look and feel a bit better in this. Overall I need to lose 2 stone but concentrating on shorter goals for the moment and to get down under 12 stone.

Looking forward to reading back through all your messages from this week to get my motivation going!

tigerchair · 01/04/2016 11:26

Hi everyone

I have to apologise to my mfp friends for the shocking food choices yesterday!! Was on a day out with dcs and ate chips, crisps etc then wine last night. Kept reasonably mindful still though of portion sizes so hoping tge few extra calories won't be too bad. Straight back on plan today. Been to gym for personal training session and heading out to do a healthy food shop. We are all back to school and work next week so diet routine will be easier.

Hope everyone has a great day Smile

Tiredemma · 01/04/2016 12:40

Can people still see your food diary on MFP?

tigerchair · 01/04/2016 12:45

Hi emma, I can see some people's food diaries..privacy setting needs to be on diary viewed by friends only.

Flackgirl · 01/04/2016 12:53

Think this is my first MN post!

Have a 8 week old, 2 stone to lose and have to wear a bridesmaid dress in four short weeks (dreading that). Obvs not expecting to lose 2 stone in 4 weeks, but anything that will prevent me literally bursting out of my Spanx would help.

So count me in too.

ExpandingRoundTheMiddle · 01/04/2016 12:57

Welcome Flack and good luck with your weight loss. Smile
On MN it's compulsory to pass new babies round for a cwtch Wink
