Here then BAHB, hows this?

OP posts:
mooshy · 05/01/2007 23:31

mummyjx thanks.
Had a bit of a mental block and its all coming back to me now !
Always have tuna in and its cheap too.
If i bung fruit or veg into a juicer (or am really lazy and buy a ready made pure fruit smoothie ) is it still free ?

mummyjx · 05/01/2007 23:50

I think fruit is not free if juiced, but not sure. There are some rules I will never understand (but the offside rule is NOT one of them!)
Oops, ate the white chocolate jazzies discarded by DS2. I should have gone to bed with Alan Titchmarsh (his novel of course) and not waited up for DH.
Oh well, nearly tomorrow - too early to start on my syns do you think!

fireflyfairy2 · 05/01/2007 23:54

I've just had a mandarin orange. Walked to the kitchen to make a coffee & there was a tube of smarties my sister had brought round earlier & I had put them in the cupboard.... I ate 3 orange ones out of them..just so the ds's wouldn't get them of course

ledodgy · 05/01/2007 23:54

mummyjx your right, things like bananas are not free if they're cooked either, me and my friend were talking about it the other day and the only reason we could think of as to why is because it releases the sugar and maybe changes the way our bodies break it down?

ledodgy · 05/01/2007 23:55

*you're not your

Martha200 · 06/01/2007 08:46

mummyjx is right.. fruit or veg juiced is not free and it's to do with the level of satisfaction one gets.. as in eat an apple, it requires more effort and the motion of chewing etc does more good than just drinking apple as juice.. if that makes sense?
I had a smartie fix last night too.. though they were disgusting.. not like how I remember them!

mummyjx · 06/01/2007 09:27

The new smarties are revolting - they have taken out all the colouring & additives and the shinyness.
DS2 & I are poorly sick & dying today. We have a cold. If I stick to anything it will be a miracle. If I can haul myself out of the house I am going to the supermarket for a fresh white baguette and some golden syrup (need to tempt DS2 to eat of course). DS1 @ party later and DH @ work (4eva) so it will be a long miserable sniffly day. It is damned cold outside too.

fireflyfairy2 · 06/01/2007 11:41

I am so livid!! He is up from 9am!! I surface at 11am (had a really bad night, dd (5) was in our bed & she wasn't well) & he hasn't even managed to dress the kids!! ds (2) is running about in nowt but a nappy! dd is sitting in a coma in front of the TV screen...whilst every damn toy in the damn house is scattered round it!!! I went apeshit!! Now feel like a drama queen The thing that did it for me was that dh knows I have an essay to finish today!! & I had tidied last night before I went to bed so I would just have to get up this morning & finish the essay...

add to that the fact he put the ONE milk into the kids brekkie & now I have none left for my brekkie.

Ok, selfish streak over... he got hardly any sleep last night ither & still got up at 9am. He now has the kids outside so I can do my essay (so I go on MN )
I'd love a twix!

mummyjx · 06/01/2007 12:41

Have the b**y twix. I would. Men are strange beings, especially when faced with kids tv, they become mesmerised...

mummyjx · 06/01/2007 12:41

Some of my asterisks disappeared - but you know what i meant!

Mazzle · 06/01/2007 18:54

Hi everyone

I'm starving and really don't fancy the pasta and tuna I'd planned for tea...really want a pizza instead! Oh well....it'll be worth it in the end!

I'm going to do a weigh in on Mondays for anyone who doesn't go to class and who wants to join in. am hoping I've lost a few pounds this week as it's my first week

Let me know if you want to join in!

Maz xx

fireflyfairy2 · 06/01/2007 22:31

I had the most delicious tea today! Dh made it. Chop Suey he said it was. With boiled rice.

ChickenGreen peppers
Carrots onions mushroomsSoy sauce
*1 tablespoon sesame oil (6 syns but remember to split that between how many you are feeding) ie: me, him and dd so I counted 2 syns.
*1 teaspoon of caster sugar 1.5syns.. again remember to split it (it wasn't even a whole spoonful he used though)
*1 teaspoon of cornflour 1.5syns.

So I counted my meal at about 4 syns altogether as the chicken was a B HE. He cooked the meat, then the veg and made the sauce from the soy sauce, caster sugar, sesame oil & cornflour to thicken. He said you don't need to use caster sugar but it's a habit he has.

Serve the veg meat & sauce all mixed together on top of a bed of rice... it was delicious!!!!

MJX, thank goodness I didn't read your reply earlier or I would have caved in & ate the twix!!!! lol As it was I just got my head down & done some of my essay... & had a banana! Very virtuous non??

Mazzle... step away from the pizza!!!!

fireflyfairy2 · 06/01/2007 22:32

Ooh don't know what happened in that last post

Budababe · 07/01/2007 14:47

Hi guys - can I join in? Joined SW on-line in November and haven't even weighed in once! Think am about 16 stone. Will weigh in tomorrow morning and am starting properly then.

Am being organised and planning my meals and shopping list. Can I ask for snack suggestions please? I need to eat regularly or I get totally irrational and am trying to plan allowed snacks.

Am so fed up with myself - am a 24 in tops and a 22 in trsrs/skirts.

Surfermum · 07/01/2007 14:55

This is what I snack on:

Grapes, bananas and other fruit
Buy a bag of pre-prepared carrot batons (I never get round to chopping one up)
Muller Light
Quorn sausages chopped up
Ham or chicken
Cherry tomatoes

And each day I'll have a Hifi bar as a HE with a cuppa instead of a choc bar, which is what I used to do.

Of course I'd rather have a huge slice of cake.

fireflyfairy2 · 07/01/2007 15:05

Hi

I snack on grapes (when I buy a bunch I will wash them & place them in a bowl in fridge, means they are ready to eat)
Strawberries (do the same as above!)
mugshots (lovely & warm..but some have syns so check them out)
Banana all sliced up with muller in it.

Usually fruit. Although I have been known to make a huge pot of pasta & mix it with some cherry toms & cucumber, grapes & apple & leave in the fridge so it's available if I have an attack of the munchies. You can mix that with a spoonful of lowfat mayo if ya like for hardly any syns!

BigHotMama · 07/01/2007 15:54

Hi everyone, I'm getting my ass back on track and starting fatclass again tomorrow as couldnt face going last week as we still have so much naughty but nice fodder to be consumed.

I'm 5ft6" and did manage to lose 8lb b4 xmas getting down to 16 stone. I would love to get down to 12 stone and my dream would be 11 stone but realistically I'll probably get down to 13 stone. I'm all belly, boobs, ass, hips and love handles, with a bosting double chin.

My fave snacks are loads of fruit, danone activia bio yoghurts, pickled onions, cheese, plenty of water and diet lemonade. Pretty much what everyone else has written, hoe unoriginal? I'llbe watching for better ideas than I can come up with lol.

Good luck for all the weigh-ins (inc myself) I shall be on here tomorrow to let you know how many stones I put on in 2 weeks ha!
