OP posts:
fireflyfairy2 · 04/03/2007 10:18

Well, we went out last night & I had:

No starter [none of us had as we were for pub afterwards & the guys wanted room for beer!!]

For dinner, I had sizzling beef strips with peppers & chilli sauce & boiled rice.

Shared a dessert with hubby, pavalova

Then had water & diet coke in the pub as I was driving! Virtuous, no??

Then I came home, had some sweets & 2 slices of white bread toasted with marmalade

SHOSHAlee · 04/03/2007 10:26

Well done FF2 did you have agood time as well tho

fireflyfairy2 · 04/03/2007 10:41

Ah yeah! Gr8!! My sis had a bit too much of a good time... had to take her home & put her to bed at 10.30! She has the beginning of the flu & was drinking hot whisky, it just went straight to her head!

Have just had fresh fruit for brekkie & have a roast in the oven for dinner... then going shopping! I hate shopping!

me23 · 05/03/2007 16:08

Ifonlyhewould · 05/03/2007 18:01

Well done me23!!!
Thats great! Keep up the good work!

Riahun · 05/03/2007 18:39

Hi again. It's taken me several days to read all this but I am back! I've learnt more brilliant ideas in this thread than at the group meetings - isn't that something? lol
I should go to SW class tonight but I am not feeling up to it at all. For over a months I have been losing half a pound here and there and I was quite upset as I had been really good. I didn't get any ideas at the group meetings. Since I joined this forum, I have changed my diet as I mainly had green days before, I've started to have original days and as a result I've lost 2.5 pounds this week! And I even had quite a bit of choc - a friend brought my favourites over from Hungary to me - I can't just not eat them, you know...lol
Sorry about the long post, just wanted to say thank you all for this great forum and keep it up.

fireflyfairy2 · 05/03/2007 22:09

Well done 123!!!!

Riahun, your chocolates sound yum!!

I am sitting here craving a bun that dh baked I know I should just go to bed & stop obsessing!!

lurcherlass · 05/03/2007 22:39

Well, there was a bit of divine intervention in our house today...DH bought me a big 200g bar of chocolate which I left in the lounge ready to nibble on this evening. Unbeknown to me, one of my dogs stole it and ate the lot. Emergency dash to the vets with empty wrapper and dog. She had to have medication to make her sick, which she did most spectacularly all over the surgery floor. When I got back with a sheepish dog and a big bill, DH said "Never mind she's OK now and there's another bar in the cupboard"...Somehow the chocolate had lost it's appeal...

Hi everyone!

Just wondered if anyone has the online password for this week.

Thank you in advance

Ifonlyhewould · 07/03/2007 13:21

Where is everyone this week?
Have we ALL been naughty ot is it just me

Look forward to seeing (reading) a little bit more action ladies

fireflyfairy2 · 07/03/2007 13:42

Hiya

My weigh in is tonight & I am dreading it. I haven't been very good over the past 2 days so am slightly worried about how the scales will handle me tonight

Will find out p/word for you then too, but for now parsnip might work

tkband3 · 07/03/2007 14:25

Hello all

weighed in last night and was v. pleased as had lost 1lb, taking me to 1.5stone since I started (last July, this is not a quick weight loss programme for me!) . Now just 1 more to go and I'll be happy.

Password this week is sardine.

fireflyfairy2 · 07/03/2007 15:09

I am losing it very slowly too. I started in October & have lost 1 stone to date. But they say the slower you lose it the more chance there is that it'll stay off

Ifonlyhewould · 07/03/2007 18:08

Good luck for tonight FFF2 and well done TKband3!!!

I havent been to class this week, i know ive been naughty and dont want to have to pay to be told off

I MUST get back on track (turning round to receive big kick up bum from fellow dieters)

fireflyfairy2 · 07/03/2007 20:05

I stayed the same, bugger!

I know this sounds daft, but......

does anyone feel bigger now than they did before they lost weight? I've just been shopping and been so frustrated, because I feel fatter, despite the fact I have lost over a stone and a half???

Ifonlyhewould · 08/03/2007 10:30

OUCH! bit too hard but thanks anyway

At least the same is not a gain, there is no shame when you maintain!
Thats for you FireFly.

And yes Tiger, i do! I have lost 1st 9lb but I don't feel much slimmer either, even though im in smaller jeans! But I do know I don't want to feel bigger either so after my swift kick i'm back in dieting mode!

Joby1970 · 08/03/2007 13:32

on the feeling bigger thing...

I think it may be because we are all thinking much more about what we put into our mouths & how we look in our clothes. Remember how well you have done & take a look at an old "fat" picture of yourself ... congratulate yourself & remember to have a non-food reward for eah & every weight loss.

& remember you are getting healthier too not just slimmer.

On a happy note - this week I've had two people say how slim I was looking - even tho I still have another 20 lbs to go. I love compliments

Riahun · 08/03/2007 16:27

Hiya Has anyone had any "chicken breasts in sweet chilli sauce" by Tesco? It is chilled and lovely - although 4 syns, but for the whole pack. There is also one with a red wine sauce, and that's only 2 syns! I usually have mashed swede with chicken or a veggie stir fry but I am getting a bit bored with these. Anybody has a better idea by any chance? Cheers

Ifonlyhewould · 08/03/2007 16:37

Mmmm that sounds really nice.

I sometimes use those Shwartz (spelling?) shots, those little triangular sachets of flavour, on chicken breast, even on wedges of potato, makes a nice change.

Riahun · 08/03/2007 20:58

Ifonly, are the Schwartz thingies free? I've only ever seen the proper packet ones, where do you find these triangular sachets?

Sparkler1 · 08/03/2007 21:41

new thread for a fresh start

Ifonlyhewould · 09/03/2007 11:41

HI

Yes they are free, i gt mine from morrisons, they may be amongst the seasonings because thats what they are classed as, they do a lovely cajun chicken and a beef one.

wizzywig · 11/03/2007 20:21

hiya, i had my first weigh in and only lost half a pound even though i stuck to the diet. does anyone know if the fact that my periods havent come back after my son was born 3 months ago has anything to do with it? i thought maybe because my system wasnt back to normal that it would slow down my weight loss? i only thought this becuase some people put on weight when their period was due. what does anyone think?
