Having lost 1lb over Christmas, I've put it back on over New Year! Hey ho!. Back on track now and hoping to get ever closer to my target. There were over 20 new people in class last night , and it was very busy!

Good luch for this week.

Hi again. Had a thought re fruit salad. I make it in bite sized chunks, DH the chef made it for me once and chopped it finely in a professional manner and it was like eating tinned fruit!
Also re feeling faint. I remember reading somewhere that a banana and a glass of water is as energy-giving as a bottle of lucozade or whatever, so it might be worth having a banana to hand all the time! Also, shosha, if you get up that early, maybe have one 1st thing if you are going to brave the busy breakfasttime. One final piece of advice to myself - PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH!
Well done on those losses.

Does anyone know the best value chocolate biscuit syn-wise? Am planning healthy walk and picnic for the w/end and can't contemplate picnic with no chocbiccy!
Just made my HE w/meal roll into garlic bread with h/e mozarella. Am surprised, was nice, and have the same afertaste as the delicious, greasy, cheese smothered thing we order from the takeaway oh too often. Helped the soup down! Happy weekend.

remember mummyjx that you can save up your syns for that pub meal out. or just use flexible syns, its all about still counting them to feel in control.

For lunch today I had a Mashed potato bake made with Quorn Sausages. cook your Qurn sausages, chop them into big chunks. Put them in an ovenproof dish with a couple of tins of baked beans (of as I did last night 1 tin baked beans, 1 tin kidney, 1 tin cannelloni beans) and 1 tsp of chilli powder. Fry 2 medium onions in FryLite. Layer those on top. Spoon over some mashed potato and place in over for 20 mins. YUMMY
you can also have cheese in it just use it from your healthy extra.

Hi

Does anyone have a FIT log they could send me on email? I've lost mine and I want to start logging my efforts and get my bronze award.

TIA

you can have beans on toast (toast as a healthy extra) on a green day or spaghetti on toast for free....throw in a few eggs....mushrooms and tomatoes and you have a HUGE fry up...quorn sausages if you're that way inclined ? (i just miss em out) or on a red day you can hav bacon, sausages etc...

tiger8565 · 05/01/2007 16:10

just had one of these arrangements sent into work...FANTASTIC (and it was free ) but I thought I'd point it out to all you lot, as such a good present instead of flowers maybe.. but o so much better ...

puts a bit of fun back into fruit...

have a look, they do deliveries too, so if too lazy like me, hehe..

Be warned it is tres expensive, but worth a look anyhows for something/somebody special? Hint to your man...seems a much nicer way to eat fruit

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! As you know I don't own any scales, but I'm sure I've put on,as my waistband is tight. I'm gonna stay ignorant and just keep on-plan until it feels more comfy, then I'll weigh myself! That way I wont get all demoralised and say "bugger it". On the last thread, there was some good advice that one member had been given by her consultant. She said if you're the sort of person whose hormones are unsteady (as mine are aged 49), it might be better to weigh yourself monthly. I've found this to be good advice. Going to a wedding tomorrow, a retirement party in the evening and pub lunch on Sunday- what's the chances of me staying on plan this weekend?....

Just thought I'd let you all know - I HATE jacket potatoes.

fireflyxmasfairylights2 · 05/01/2007 18:18

Hi everyone!

Yes Sosha, you are!! Great isn't it????!! That's why SW works so well!!

Lurcherlass, there was a lady telling her story in the SW mag this month who said that she looked at her weightloss over a month & not a week as she had depression & it seemed easier that way.

Today I have had:

Breakfast: shredded wheat bitesize (HEb) & a banana.

Mandarin orange.

Lunch: 2 small slices wholemeal bread, (HEb) 1 laughing cow light triangle (HEa) Tomato sliced, & 3 slices (28g) of tinned ham (1.5syns)

Dinner: Huge bowl of pasta, with a free sauce made from: Tinned tomatoes, large onion, chilli, green peppers, brocolli, mushrooms & herbs. I might have bacon pieces through that but will count the syns!!

Snacking on fruit, drinking water & diet coke. Would love something greasy/sweet though I'm hoping the fruit salad after will curb the sweet craving!

fireflyxmasfairylights2 · 05/01/2007 18:20

Sorry Shosha, I hadn't read your name correctly!

MJX, what do you have in them? Or is it just the potato you hate? I had some boiled potatoes left over from last night so I sliced them up and fried them for the kids... I used fry light for them too so it didn't matter that I had a nibble from the pan too

Hello all well I have finished my week off on Wednesday and have been back on the plan since Thursday and have been for two 3 mile brisk walks today and yesterday and plan to do this at least 3 more days before Wednesdays weigh in. I also count my syns weekly rather than daily. I usually have around 45 at the weekend and then no other syns during the week or if I do it's only a couple. I'm drinking a can of stella right now and although it's 10 syns it's so worth it.

ledodgy · 05/01/2007 21:12

Also I keep meaning to ask my consultant but keep forgetting. Why are SYNS spelt with a Y is it an acronym for something?
