Hi all

Have been a little naughty today by having some sweets out of dd's pick n mix when we were shopping

But have been good the rest of the time, & not planning on having any wine or crisps tonight like I usually do on a Sat night!!

katylou25 · 24/02/2007 18:53

Evening all. Well Ive not been too bad today so far.... Ive decided that Monday is when my motivation WILL kick in again. Although Im still going to be good tommorrow its just that Monday ds1 goes back to playgroup and we should all be back in a routine.
Christy Im the same, I havent recorded (on line) my weight for about 2 weeks as I cant face it either, but Ive decided to bite the bullet and do it on Monday.
Katylou I also love raw cake mix and biscuit mix.

Sparkler1 · 24/02/2007 19:52

Hi Christie - I tend to mix my days really. I enjoy both green and original. Had another good day today and feeling really pleased with myself. That's two days of being extremely angellic - only another 5 days till way in! - feels like a life time away.
Beadmum - it doesn't matter how many green or red days you have. You can have all green if you wish (that's what the vegetarians do!). Just have whatever you enjoy. Some people in our group seem to think that all green days work better for weight loss for them and some feel the original is better. Just play with it and see how it works for you personally. I know with green days I get very bloated (and windy ) so I like to mix my days around.

Sparkler1 · 24/02/2007 19:54

fireflyfairy2 - I too have given up my Saturday night wine and crisps. It's horrid isn't it? Will be worth it when that huge weight gain I had on Thursday has all fallen off. >
What I wouldn't give now for a huge chicken kebab, chips and a bottle of Rose. I'd never make a Slimming World Consultant would I?

loobysmum · 24/02/2007 21:01

Hi guys, I am heading for another disastrous weigh-in on Monday if I am not careful - got chocs from dp AND dd (she's only 2, so I think she may have had a bit of help!) on Valentine's Day and have caved in to the temptation today .... how many syns in a Lindt Lindor milk choc truffle????? (No, don't tell me; I can't bear to know!!) Just about to make quorn stir fry for dinner (stable door, horse, bolted .... ) Had Tesco spinach and ricotta sausages and McCain rustic oven chips for lunch - thanks for the rustic chips tip - can't remember who posted it (sorry), they are really good. Asda are doing two bags for £2 - they are normally £1.55 each. Also, still doing the 5 packs of Batchelors Savoury Rice for £1 (I should be on commission, I really should.

fireflyfairy2 · 24/02/2007 22:14

The rustic chips...how many syns? & I cannot find those sausages anywhere!! Are they free on green also? I might have to ask my local tesco to stock them... They usually listen to customers ideas

Sparkler1, I had chow mein tonight for dinner as we were glued to rugby & neither dh or I fancied cooking!! Not many syns in it anyway..just sat here trying not to think about crisps & rose wine!!!! [drool]

I went shopping today, for a dress. I have a dinner dance to go to at the end of March. Flip me, I am the most oddest shape ever. My 16 jeans are falling off me. 14 is too small for me. A 14 dress wouldn't go over my boos but a 16 was falling down under my boobs A 14 was too tight round my tummy, but a 16 made my tummy look huge & pregnant I have a dress in the wardrobe I wore to my sisters wedding in July, I think I might buy a wee jacket for it & make it do. I hate dresses. I hate shopping. I hate food. [well, that's a big fat lie, if I hated food I wouldn't be fat!! ]

loobysmum · 24/02/2007 22:27

Hi Firefly
These spinach and ricotta sausages are free - sorry you're having no luck tracking them down - they should be beside the quorn/vegetarian stuff in the frozen section - I know, I'll post a packet to you!! The rustic chips are 1 syn/100g, so practically free! Hope you find something to wear for the wedding. I hate dresses too. Trouser suit-type thing? Then perhaps you can mix and match the sizes for top half and bottom half. Anyway, if you are between a 14 and a 16 you can't be all that big ..... unless you're, like, 3' tall!

fireflyfairy2 · 24/02/2007 23:02

I'm 4ft 10!! So not a kick in the arse away from 3ft

No, trousers won't do as it's a gala dinner dance & not a wedding Although I did have a black & white dress for sis wedding & I think if I had a wee jacket & some shoes it would do fine!

The dress is like this .

so if I had a black fur shrug or something it would be fine.

Sparkler1 · 25/02/2007 09:14

Morning!!
Thanks for the sausage and chip ideas - shall look out for those next time I'm shopping. Those sausages will make a nice change from the plain quorn ones I normally buy.
Just wanted to share my breakfast with you. Today I am having Kellogg's All-Bran Bran Flakes with chocolate. They are lovely. You can have 1oz as a healthy extra. I'd imagine they would be quite good when you get the urge for something to munch on.

Riahun · 25/02/2007 17:05

Hello everyone here Just joined, have been doing slimming world for a few months only and I quite like it, doesn't really feel like a diet. This forum looks really helpful and great support. As you share ideas, can I ask if anyone knows about a chicken coating recipe that is similar to that of KFC by any chance? I've heard about it but I can't seem to find the recipe anywhere! Any help would be most appreciated.

Rooicosta · 25/02/2007 18:40

I've lost 2lbs so, I'm really chuffed! But don't ask me how I've done it cos I haven't got a clue!?! I haven't really followed the plan all that well and have kinda been eating what I want to a degree so I'm really surprised. I suppose I haven't eaten as much junk as I would normally though and that can make a huge difference.

Anyway, hopefully my success will continue into this next week , although it should be star week so who knows!

I've got conjunctivits too so feeling a bit pants at the moment.

Good luck to everyone else as weigh-in time will be here for a lot of people tomorrow. Fingers crossed for you that all goes well

Sparkler1 · 25/02/2007 20:06

Am feeling very proud of myself right now. I've turned down a kebab tonight. DH has been telling me all day that he was going to get one and I have said I wasn't going to give in.
Instead I made myself a nice, stodgy, Slimming World friendly sandwich:-

2 slices wholemeal bread (HE B)
4 slice bacon, fat removed, fried with frylight (free on original)
Fried egg, fried with frylight (free)
28g mild cheddar (HE A)
Tomato Ketchup (1 syn)

polished off with a strawberry Mullerlight yoghurt.

I'm on a diet? - nah!!!

fireflyfairy2 · 25/02/2007 20:16

MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm your sandwich sounds delicious!!!!!!!

I had a shit day today. Not shit, as in I ate shit.. Just that I haven't had my usual fruit salad/free foods.

I had oat so simple for brekkie at 9.30am. The nothing except for an orange until 6.30pm. I was helping my sister move house, so made about 40 trips up & down a huge spiral staircase [hoping that would have done something for the weight loss this week ]

The I couldn't be arsed cooking. Dh was having bacon sandwiches, so I had 2 slices of bacon, chopped up, stirred in among half a tin of beans, poured over a bakes potato & topped with 28g of very finely grated cheese. OMG It was sooo delicious!!!!!

Now I'm wondering wether or not to have a biscuit dh baked today... oh I have also had a scone [home baked by Dh's fair hands, any idea how many syns may be in one of those??]

fireflyfairy2 · 25/02/2007 20:17

Oh & Riahun, I will ask my consultant about eh KFC coating recipe, she's lovely.

Rooicosta, conjunctivitis sux ass
