I have 10 stone to lose overall. There, I said it. No going back now. I miss riding my horse, I miss being happy and I have a toddler that doesn't want a sweaty elephant for a mum.
Anyone want to join me for some moral support?

me too please! I am at 15 stone

0ddsocks · 03/01/2016 20:58

I'm in too. Need to loose 3st but initial target would be 2 stone. We've booked a trip to centre parcs in June so my aim is to lose the 2st by then as I'm going to have to wear a swimming costume Grin Shock

Have bought an exercise bike (have two pre-schoolers so my exercise has to be in the house really). Also will be using MFP - I really only realise how much I eat when I log the calories

onitlikeacarbonnet · 03/01/2016 21:01

I've tried to put my details on the spreadsheet but my stupid phone won't let me edit it.
Can anyone help?
Ps I've just nc from haveyouseenmykeys

stopfaffing · 03/01/2016 21:12

Just been on Which and they have several recommendations (most are very expensive) but this one; Hanson H902 Fat Analyser, is just £14.99 from Argos.

Five stars for accuracy, consistency and ease of use. Three stars for sensitivity and for body fat analysis.

I'll pop into town tomorrow and get a set Grin. A bit scared of standing on them, I foresee not much less than 18 stone Sad and at least 55% body fat, probably 60%. Blush

Thankfully, I'm on the fb page for support Smile.

isithotinhereorisitjustme · 03/01/2016 21:37

Please can I join - I have 6 (probably nearer 7) stone to shift - am not braving the scales til tomorrow! Is the FB group secret again now?

MustBeThin · 03/01/2016 21:42

Can I join please? Already joined the MFP thread, people have done so well on there an lost loads of weight. Very inspiring. I was 13st 7 this morning but weighed the same on November so no Xmas gain. I have downloaded MFP and officially start my diet tomorrow after my food shop. I have also bought 2 brita water filter bottles to encourage me to drink more as I drink no water atm. I'm 5ft 5 so probably need to be 10st but my first am is to get into the 12's.

I'm in! Got a similar amount to you to lose op. I'm at slimming world and have lost a stone and half already but put a bit back on over Xmas. I really need to get back on it properly but it's hard to have the motivation!
Getting sick of eating the same things!

WongTobyWong · 03/01/2016 22:33

I'm in. 4 stone to lose. I know exactly what I need to do but goodness I'm finding it hard..must cut out bread and pasta, and drink less. Anyone had success with 5:2? I'm thinking I'll give that a try. I work full time, have 3 kids and in the throes of moving..I just don't have the time/energy to spend a lot of time meal planning. Which is why I'm fat, of course.Sad

EdithSimcox · 03/01/2016 22:40

Can someone explain the FB thing please? If I join you'll all know who I am right? Or I have to create a fake FB just for this? How does everyone do that? And where's the spreadsheet? Sorry for being thick.

Whenwillwe3meetagain · 03/01/2016 22:55

My connection not great and finding it hard to scroll through the thread so what is the fb group called please?

I'm 15stone and 5'9 and have a DS 13 months is like to start TTC around June and want to be at least 2 stone lighter by then.

I'm aiming to cut out processed foods and reduce carbs significantly. No calorie counting! For exercise I'll ramp up the gym and mainly Pilates and body pump there.

DramaAlpaca · 03/01/2016 22:56

Edith most people on the FB group seem to be using their usual FB profiles, but one or two are being more mysterious. It isn't at all obvious who's who as nobody is mentioning their MN usernames in the group. Also, it's a secret group so your activity doesn't appear on your home page or your news feed. There is a link to the spreadsheet somewhere upthread and it's also on FB.

limetimemummy · 03/01/2016 23:06

Better late than never, may I join you please?

7/8 st to get rid of here. I've PM'd re the FB page so waiting for some guidance re joining that but will stay on here too if that's ok? I need to start being a joiner rather than a lurker in many things!!
All set for a weigh in tomorrow; I've got my tape measure at hand for the scary part.
Now, I just need to avoid the C word as it seems to get me into a world of trouble....Cheese, chips, carbs, crisps, chocolate..... Grin

Luckything50 · 03/01/2016 23:20

Hi hope I'm not too late to join, have tried FB link but can't get it to work, will pm Ark. God look at how many of us there are...

Brokenbiscuit · 03/01/2016 23:34

I'd like to join - I need to lose around 7/8 stone ideally. Blush

Do I have to join the FB group? Can I access the spreadsheet if I'm not on FB? And how can I add my details?

Ready for the first weigh-in tomorrow. I am planning to try 5:2 and do more exercise!

Luckything50 · 04/01/2016 00:10

Also does anyone have any experience with lipodema? I've been diagnosed a couple of years now, probably stage 2. It obviously affects my overall weight but has specific issues too, I haven't seen anyone discussing it on MN but there must be some of you out there that find it impossible to lose weight on your legs/arms and whose weight is disproportionately on the lower body parts? Occasionally I meet women who I think must have it but I'm not brave enough to ask as I'm not sure what the reactions would be. Would love to share experiences though, especially with those who have daughters who might/have inherited it.

VeraBennet · 04/01/2016 07:23

Good morning fellow Losers! Are we posting starting weights on here?

stopfaffing · 04/01/2016 07:44

Well, up early this morning to start my new routine and it has gone to plan, cumulating in having breakfast, something I usually struggle to do. I had porridge, made with milk but no sugar.

I will pop into town later to get weighing scales and bravely stand on them to read the bad news. The good news is that next Monday they will register a lower weight :D, well, that's the plan.

building2015 · 04/01/2016 07:51

I'll go. 171.2 lb = 12 st 3.2 lb.

ToeTouching · 04/01/2016 08:10

Me next then. I'm not on Facebook so can only check in here.

238.8lbs = 17 stone and .8lbs

AuntyBatshit · 04/01/2016 08:16

13st 7lb. For the last time ever.

EdithSimcox · 04/01/2016 08:18

Thank you Drama That sounds a bit scary to me! So I'll stick with this thread. I've done 4000+ steps already this morning so it's a good start for me!

0ddsocks · 04/01/2016 08:20

14 st 4lb. Bleh 😫

Sweetpea15 · 04/01/2016 08:23

Has anyone heard back about the Facebook group? The link doesn't work for me.

NapoleonsNose · 04/01/2016 08:25

13st 6lbs - bad, but not as bad as I thought! Hopefully the last time I see those figures as well :)
