I have 10 stone to lose overall. There, I said it. No going back now. I miss riding my horse, I miss being happy and I have a toddler that doesn't want a sweaty elephant for a mum.
Anyone want to join me for some moral support?

Thank you, Arkkorox. That's very true. :)

I guess I'm just sick of being like this and want so desperately to stick to a plan! My weigh in day is a Friday so will be able to weigh in on 01/01. Not looking forward to it tbh but there's no point lying to myself or anyone else!

Room for another? I lost 5 stone in 2011 but since having kids it's pretty much all piled on again. My partner isn't a 'feeder' but he's a big rugby playing 6ft 2 giant so he needs big food. I'm 5ft 4 and just fat. I'm sick of not being able to feel happy in photos or be able to shop in the places I'd like.
This year I plan to eat cleaner and drink much more water. I'm also looking at a gym again. I used to be able to row 5k, cycle 5k and jog 2k before work. Now I just about manage to get the toddlers out the door. I've bought the shred DVD and will be looking for a new pair of trainers at the weekend.
Good luck everyone!

clara I hear you! Triathlon fit before kids, now busting at the seams of all my clothes and LOATHE to buy in this size when I don't want to be this size. :(

Can I join? I'd like to lose around 7 stone. I'm a binge eater so need to get that under control and start exercising. I'll be weighing on 4th Jan.

Me ark! in in. distracting myself at the minute
I've got around 5-6 stone to lose. I waltzed out of hospital in my size 10 skinny jeans after having DS1 and again after DD. But I suffered SPD and wasn't right after DDs birth. And I suffered PND so the comfort eating, plus limited movement made me put a couple of stone on (went up to nearly 12 stone) then I discovered I was pregnant with DS2 when DD was 10 months old. SPD hit quick and worse. I was literally immobile. I now weigh around 15 stone, thanks to an overactive appetite when pregnant (had this all 3 times!) Comfort eating my way through PND and becoming immobile and still being in agony now

This time next year I will be me again.

I'm in. I'd like to loose 3 stone I've been overweight as long as I can remember. I had DD 1st November I weighed myself on the 1st December and was the lightest is been in years I was so pleased, however over the past few weeks I know it's creeping back on and the sheer amount of rubbish I'm shoveling in my gob isn't helping. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow to give myself a starting point and will join you all for the first official weigh in on the 4th.

I'm in! I've 3-4 stone to lose and have been overweight for years now. I feel so unfit as well and get out of breath easily. I want to feel healthier and fitter as well as slim!

Love the idea of weekly weigh ins and having somewhere to post for support and to help each other Smile

I'm in!
I'd like to lose 8 stone but 6 would be a good effort.
I have a thyroid issue honestly and the weight has piled on since having my dd 4.5 years ago.
Had ds 6 years ago and prior to falling pg with him had fertility issues which they wouldn't treat till I lost weight. The gynaecologist suggested a low gi diet and I went for it, big time Grin I exercised for the first time in my life and felt great.
When I got my bfp I had lost just shy of 5 stone. I kept it off too during pregnancy as I had hyperemesis.
My appetite came back with a vengeance when I fell pg with my dd.
My thyroid condition went undiagnosed for over a year which left me with so little energy I was eating to compensate Sad
I have been reasonable well medicated for a good few months now so I need to sort myself out.
I don't want my kids being bullied in school for having me as their mum.

I plan to try the same eating plan again, so no potatoes, rice or pasta in any significant quantities. No bread unless it's more seeds than flour, lean protein and lots and lots of veggies. No sugar.
Might not be as quick off this time as I'm too sore to exercise much but will start with avoiding car journeys which are walkable.

I'm in as well. I have between 6 - 7 stone to lose. Will also weigh in on the 4th. I don't know whether to do ww, sw or calorie counting as I've tried them all, maybe sw as it doesn't feel too much like a diet.

I'll join if I may. I could do with losing about 6.5 stone or so. I can't remember ever being a healthy weight. I'd love to know what it feels like to be comfortable in your body and not feel like a beached whale all the time - never mind the joy of clothes shopping when there's a possibility of actually looking good!

I don't really want to follow a specific diet. I know my main problems are portion control (I easily eat enough dinner for two healthy adults every day) and eating junk food in the evenings. If I sorted those two things I'd be flying. We're going on holidays in May so I'd like to be a little bit less sweaty and uncomfortable in summer clothes by then!

I'll weigh in on the 1st.

Hello. I have significant weight to lose. Probably in region of ten stone. I have previously lost and regained between 3 and 5 repeatedly, mostly using SW. I have not yet decided what I'm going to do this time - I'm convinced SW teaches v bad habits so I'd like to do something else, but equally I know it works and I know the plan inside out...

I'm in. I have 6 stone to lose this year. Biggest I've ever been and I'm disgusted with myself. I've got a Fitbit, joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. Going to aim for less carbs and counting calories.

I always want to join in on these weight loss support threads but never feel I can cos I've so much more weight to lose than the other posters. So happy to see I'm not alone with a big chunk.
I need to lose 8 st at least. I saw myself in a full length mirror yesterday for the first time in about 6 months. I'm way bigger than I thought I was. I was genuinely shocked looking at myself.
So joining slimming world in the morning, and buying a full length mirror so I can't live in denial any longer.

Good luck to all!!
