Emz449 · 13/11/2015 10:38

Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Hello, can I join in please?! 12 stone, aiming for 11 to start with, then probably a bit more after that.

Been doing MFP for a week so far, but used it to lose weight after DS1 ( now trying to lose weight after DS2!)

Been pretty good, but made bread this morning and scoffed the end bit slathered in butter whilst making lunch.... Got a 380 cal dinner planned though, so won't be too far off track.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 09/01/2016 17:14

I am sitting at 10st 5 for the last few days. Hoping to have a loss tomorrow . I had lunch at Pizza Express and chose the lowest calorie thing on the menu - the superficial salad which they claim is 350 cals. £10 for a plate of lettuce!!! Shock Grin

Bathsheba3 · 09/01/2016 17:15

Welcome Doje! Bread and butter. Can't beat it. Freshly made too - not surprised you couldn't resist.

Huge restraint twinkle. Hard to not eat anything at the cinema, unless you don't actually buy anything or smuggle food in to start! What did you see?

I'm already over my calorie allowance today Blush without even thinking of dinner. Finished off rest of choccie bar (but dark chocolate - healthier right?) and bread & cheese for lunch.

DD & DH out for the day. My DS now hates me. .

Mirina coil here - wouldn't be without. No periods. Think it's mainly for old bags the older woman Grin

IMustEatMoreVeg · 09/01/2016 17:17

Superfood! Not superficial!

twinkle183 · 09/01/2016 22:08

Bath went to see Star Wars!! It was brilliant... Took me back to being a child!!! I purchased sweets and popcorn for the kids but didn't touch them at all!!! Is the mirena coil painful cos I am sick of the intermittent bleeding with the implant... Sorry to ask but can your partner feel the strings doing you know what BlushWink

Welcome Doje!!! The more the merrier... My name on mfp is the same on here!!!

Not2bObvious · 10/01/2016 06:52

Morning all. Out the other side of my hangover from hell, day started out not too bad but had full blown thumper of a headache by 6 last night. So much for dry Jan! Ate too much again as a result. Anyway, that's life & it's behind me now. Decent walk planned for today and no crazy grazing. Anyone else up to anything?

MustBeThin · 10/01/2016 09:12

Welcome fellow newbies. Grin still 4 lb down since Monday. Scales juggled between 13st 2-3 rather than 3-4 it'd be nice to get down to 13st 2 by tomorrow but I won't complain if I don't seeing as though I've already lost 4lb.
I'm not going to be super strict today. I've been under 1250 cals everyday this week so I'm going to enjoy my Sunday roast without feeling too guilty but still be sensible. Boiled potatoes rather than mash, beef, plenty of veg and I might forfeit my Yorkshire pud if I'm strong enough. Smile
I'm having a light breakfast and homemade soup for lunch.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 10/01/2016 09:32

Down a pound today! 10st 4.6 Smile

Not2bObvious · 10/01/2016 09:42

Hurrah imust!! Extraordinary to get a weight loss on a week end - you go girl 😉
Losing 4lb is a wonderful start must. Enjoy your roast today, you earned it.

Bathsheba3 · 10/01/2016 09:44

Star wars was brilliant wasn't it Twinkle? Took me back 20+ years. Enjoyed every minute. Mirena did hurt on insertion, Smear x 2, but nothing since. DH has never said he can feel, but quite frankly I couldn't care if he could. His chemo/radiotherapy 10 yrs ago put a stop to any more DC's for us. So it's for me really. Debilitating periods, flooding etc. I know there are 2-sides to everything, but for me it has turned my life around.

Bathsheba3 · 10/01/2016 09:53

Well done must and Imust! It's just as great to maintain a loss as it is to achieve one. Same effort and will-power required. Star

Totally fell off the wagon last night. Alcohol, biscuits, crisps, you name it. Funnily enough, it didn't release any of the "feel good" seratonin or whatever it is I was hoping. I actually think my underlying subliminal messages were along the lines of "you are crap, so you may as well make yourself feel more crap" which is exactly how I feel right now. I know I'm not a failure, but I so feel like one at times.

Far too heavy for a sunday morning. I'm going to stop wallowing, have a shower, spend 20 mins negotiating with DS to come on a dog walk with me, another 20 mins cajoling DD into doing her homework, and then tackle the housework I failed to do yesterday.

Not2bObvious · 10/01/2016 10:04

Oh bath, there's an interesting point in your binge, the stuffing the void with rubbish and still feeling rubbish. Best thing though is you can see it, you'll feel better after a shower & a walk. I should do the same, waiting for my protein rich brekkie now - plenty of hours today to do plenty of nice things that aren't all about food. I'm working on not slipping into the Sunday blues state of mind - which would be so silly as I quite enjoy my work these days so there's nothing to dread. Habit I guess after nearly 20 years of stressful jobs

Rowgtfc72 · 10/01/2016 10:59

Emz, was on microgynon for years, no spotting but doc took me off it and put me on a pop as microgynon was on the dodgy list and I am old and fat!

4lb down !!!!Smile yeah! I'm now 15.4 . at least it's going the right way. If I'm super good this week maybe I could crack the 14s this time next week!

JontyDoggle37 · 10/01/2016 11:58

Morning (just) weird one today. Ended up having chines takeaway last night as our little boy got poorly suddenly yesterday and it was the easy option when neither of us had time to cook. Expected big bloat and some gain today because of all the salt, but no change, still 10.3. Woke up feeling thin. So I don't know if there is bloat but I've actually lost a bit more weight so the scales have just stayed the same! God knows, will find out tomorrow. Planning on 1800 calories today, have been up once an hour through the night so need lots of energy. Hopefully back on 1500 tomorrow

Emz449 · 10/01/2016 15:25

Good day here today, woke up earlier the usual for a Sunday to go see a flat in Bristol for me and my boyfriend to hopefully move into in July, loved it so I think we're going to take it hopefully!

Food wise should be good too, poached eggs and bacon and a chorizo and halloumi salad for later. Making some egg muffins for breakfasts this week!

Doje · 10/01/2016 15:25

Well done on the losses! I'm not weighing myself this week as I've only been going a week. Been good so far this weekend and had a walk today, carrying DS2 so that earned me a few more calories.

DH is making dinner tonight (a pie, of course) and a bit worried about the calories but figure if I make it a small portion I should be OK!

MustBeThin · 10/01/2016 15:44

Thanks! The smell of this beef is killing me, sunday dinner is my favourite meal and I'm desperate to eat it. The beefs been in the slow cooker all day and the house smells amazing. 😕 I'm still a little paranoid about putting weight on but as I've been under my calories everyday and having less boiled potatoes instead of mash, no yorkshire pud and more veg it can't hurt can it? I guess I'm eating less than I usually would for tea and throughout the day. I just don't want to undo my hard work.

Doje · 10/01/2016 15:53

No! Of course it can't hurt. You have to eat! I'm realising this dieting malarkey is about sensible portions and not snacking.

Go! Have your lovely Sunday roast! Just have a small bit of everything. Maybe half a yorkie , just so you get a taste.

MustBeThin · 10/01/2016 16:07

Thanks Doje I'm a worry wart. I'm really looking forward to it though! My mouths watering just thinking about it lol.

Emz449 · 10/01/2016 16:14

Enjoy your roast Mustbe! Sounds lovely, I haven't had roast beef in ages.

The following week is going to be challenging; boyfriend is coming to stay tomorrow for a few days so it's not going to be easy! Making the eggs muffins for breakfast should help and I've bought some of the new m&s meals that look nice, will have those for lunch and just see what happens for dinner!

Thankfulforeveryday · 10/01/2016 16:52

Evening all. I've just stupidly made flapjacks for DH as he's marathon training and now I keep eating it!!! They are dangerously fattening!!!
Tried my first spin class on Saturday's morning, it burns mega calories according to MFP, and now I know why!!!! Jesus, I've never sweat so much in my life, my god it was horrific!! I'll stick to pump and combat for the time being and work up to that!! Don't feel as guilty about my stove side munching today though, I feel I earned it! First weigh in on Tuesday morning.

MustBeThin · 10/01/2016 17:10

Omg is it possible for your stomach to shrink in a week? I couldn't even it all of my tea Shock I ended up putting a Yorkshire pud on my plate but I didn't even eat it and I left some potato. I mostly focused on eating my meat and green veg first and then by the time it came to the pud and my potatoes I couldn't face it. Usually I have more and demolish it because it's my favourite meal.

Could do with a nap now. 😪

DietChic · 10/01/2016 17:30

Just checking in - I was .4 lbs under 13 St on thurs and Friday but ate a fair bit on Friday night so am trying to eat less than 1000 cals today so that my weigh in will be 13st 1 or less. It's currently 13st 1.6lbs and I'm still happy with that (down from 13st 4 this time last week) but would like the psychological boost. I've been living like a loner all week! No socialising, nothing. It's been quite nice- just me and DH trying to be restrained! Except on Friday...

Everyone seems focussed - here's hoping next week goes well too!

MustBeThin · 10/01/2016 17:42

You might be back to normal by tomorrow DietChic could just be bloat from Friday food? On Sunday I weighed 13st 7 which is my usual weight but Tuesday I weighed 13st 10 even though id had under 1200 cals, I was just terribly bloated but Wednesday morning I only weighed 13st 6 So I'd lost the bloat weight and 1lb.

Bathsheba3 · 10/01/2016 21:09

Today's food much better than yesterday! Just over 1,000 cals today. 3,200 + (ahem) yesterday. Oops. Oh well.

Crikey Must - must be living up to your name now not eating your Yorkshires! Good on you.

Another high-stress day here. Another gin in my slimline tonic. I think my sanity & emotional well-being is worth more than DryJan at the moment Wink.

Hope the weigh-in tomorrow is good DietChic
