Emz449 · 13/11/2015 10:38

Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Need to remind myself that Rome wasn't built in a day...

Day 5 back on MFP. Have been logging accurately, weighing food, sticking to 1200 calories and doing plenty of activity (15 miles walked over 4 days). But the scales haven't moved Confused

Bathsheba3 · 06/01/2016 07:42

2 stone Jonty StarStarStar!

Sorry to hear that Jemima. Very strange. But do stick with it. I am day 3 and have lost another lb this morning. But my body was so full of sugar from the weekend trifle and chocolate oh and crisps that it is just eliminating that I am sure.

Have a good day today everyone. Like the line Emz!

DietChic · 06/01/2016 08:10

Great line Emz! I hope mine looks like that this time next year!

13st 1 this morning. 500 exercise calories as deficit - I very nearly got a steak and ate them back but decided against it at the checkout.

Planning a Vital Ingredient salad lunch toget the nutrients in and grilled chicken this evening. It feels good to be on track, am going to make it work!

twinkle183 · 06/01/2016 08:22

So on my nightshift a colleague that had not seen me for 4 weeks due to be being off asked me when my baby was due! I was mortified ShockAngrySad!!

This has just added fuel to fire of wanting to loose weight is an understatement!!! It's on like donkey, Kong!!!! Am so determined now to succeed....

Not2bObvious · 06/01/2016 08:38

Oh wow jonty, that's really impressive, you certainly earned that 2 stone!
Well done bath, I'm down 1.2 today so 11.13.6 - delighted to be back under 12!!!! I reckon my body is on the same track, shedding all the choc and non stop wine gargling over the last 2-3 weeks. Also doing as much exercise I can fit in, not a lot, but I did do the exercise bike last night for 20 mins, flipping sweating! Hoping for a few thousand steps today.

MustBeThin · 06/01/2016 09:21

Thank for all the help, I think I'm getting it now.
This morning I got up feeling great, no bloat at all, had a number 2 (sorry TMI) got on the scales and I weighed 13st 6. 😀💪 I'm so happy I know it's only 1lb but I've obviously done something right.

Sunday weighed 13st 7
Yesterday weighed 13st 10 (caused by bloat I think)
Today 13st 6
So 1lb loss of my proper weight. Grin

Well done Jonty you've worked so hard.

Bathsheba3 · 06/01/2016 09:55

Hurray Must !!! Good feeling isn't it? Keep going & you'll be in the 12's very soon.

Not a nice thing to hear twinkle - but great attitude to show them all that you are strong, and can succeed in loosing weight and feeling great.

Hurray Not2b. Lets not ever get back to the 12's. Are you aiming for the 10's?

Not2bObvious · 06/01/2016 10:00

Oh yes bath, striving to be 10'something over the next 3 months. It's 10 weeks exactly to my mini holiday and if I could be 10.13.6 I wouldn't need the plane to get me there 😬
Fab news must, 1lb in 3 days is brilliant

MustBeThin · 06/01/2016 10:01

Yes Baths I'm excited about losing weight this time which is a first. I'm hoping I can lose at least another lb by Monday if I've already lost 1lb in two days. Grin

MustBeThin · 06/01/2016 10:03

Thanks Not2b I didn't officially start my diet until Monday but tried to eat more sensible on Sunday. I'm so happy. Grin

Binglet · 06/01/2016 10:47

I was under my calories again yesterday! Not weighed myself yet but am really struggling with snacks. I always want something after tea around 9-9.30. Does anyone have any tips on what's best to snack on if anything.

Im planning on only weighing myself once a week. I'm finding I'm really conscious about what I'm eating as I know I have to log it and don't want the shame of logging three hundred biscuits.

My DP is a health instructor so need to get him to create me a mini "at home" workout to do. He works out all day every day and doesn't have to watch what he eats. Gives me the rage.

MustBeThin · 06/01/2016 11:07

That's the time I like to eat too Binglet when I'm watching TV. Tbh I have still been eating but instead of a chocolate bar I had a banana on Monday and yesterday I had a cup of tea and 2 Jaffa Cakes. I also have yoghurt and blueberries in the house. I think as long as I'm within my calories I will allow myself a snack. I'm not the best person for advice though because I've only been doing it two days. 😂

PopcornFrenzy · 06/01/2016 12:25

Hello peeps, can I join? I've been doing MFP for a long time and it's the only thing that works for me, I've added my roller coaster of a progress map so want it to go back down now.

Started 1st Jan - 176lbs

next weigh in is on Friday, am hoping to get rid of the Christmas chunk and get back to where I was in July (saw a horrific accident and I had a bit of a break down) so got 20lbs to shift to feel ok again then can concentrate on getting to goal of 140lbs. Started walking to nursery yesterday and so far racked up 12,000 steps each day so want to continue.

I'm bobaggins on MFP if you want to add me Grin

Not2bObvious · 06/01/2016 12:42

Welcome popcorn the more the merrier. Sorry to hear you had such upset/stress, hope this years better.
Starving for my lunch, fasted since last night as I've done for the last few Wednesday's (except over Christmas & NY of course)
People asking people to add them on mfp - will you share your food diary? I've added a couple of people recently but it's kinda pointless without that

PopcornFrenzy · 06/01/2016 12:47

My food diary is open for everyone to see

Not2bObvious · 06/01/2016 12:58

Great, I'll add you later and have a nose 😉

PopcornFrenzy · 06/01/2016 13:01

Most of it is in German as I'm in Germany but you'll probably be able to decipher it, if you want to know what something is just shout Grin

Not2bObvious · 06/01/2016 13:44

And I just realised mine wasn't sharing d'oh! That'll learn me not to moan

Emz449 · 06/01/2016 14:11

Binglet I brush my teeth and pop my retainers in! Stops any snacking 😁

Good day so far here! Quite happy actually. Low carbing it so feeling a slight headache coming along but it should pass. Low carb cottage pie made with carrot and swede instead of potato with green veg for dinner later! My day is actually coming in at 700 calories with all that so i might have to bulk it out with something

OP posts:
Bathsheba3 · 06/01/2016 17:30

Only 700 Emz? Can't believe you are able to function on that. I have felt myself get a bit giddy on 1200 - happened this morning and again yesterday. Must remember to drink more water too.

I've logged my calories in for the day as I'm out this eve. 1191. What can I get for an extra 9 calories to bring me up to 1200? one carrot stick later perhaps. Lucky me!

MustBeThin · 06/01/2016 18:08

I've had my tea and only used 684 calories all day because I was at the hairdressers at dinnertime. 😕

Breakfast/Dinner 1 slice of wholemeal toast with 2 poached eggs, 10g butter and 1 cup of tea with milk 2 sugars.

Tea I've just had iceland frozen haddock, with loads of garden peas, grean beans, 50ml of bisto parsley sauce to wet it and half a slice of wholemeal with 5g butter.
I was considering having a bit of boiled potato but after weighing one and seeing it was over 300g I didn't see the point in wasting a pan for half of 1 potato. 😂

Weighed all my fish and veg out and I actually feel nice and full! Was starving before tea though but didn't want to snack as I didn't get back home until 3:15.

Thankfulforeveryday · 06/01/2016 18:19

Can I join please???
I keep putting on weight, I weighed in today at 11st exactly, officially the heaviest I've ever been. I'm 5:6 but I can't do my jeans up anymore, things need to change!
So I'm on MFP, and getting back into some form of exercise. I only really want to drop, 16lb but I'm in wary menopause at 35, (cheers chemo!) and it seems so much harder than it used to be to lose weight, it's really getting me down Sad
I've got stage 4 cancer so I live in between - " I need to be healthy to last as long as I can" and "fuck it I'm going pop my clogs anyway so let's stuff my face"!! But 4 years after my diagnosis I'm going strong and need to get my arse in gear and get my confidence back!
Sorry for the ramble!!!
I'm on 1300 after my dinner so I'm happy with that.
Has anyone bothered with the MFP premium? Is it worth it??

Rowgtfc72 · 06/01/2016 18:37

Two days in and within calorie allowance. Just tracking food this time and not cheating as I normally do by gàining more calories by adding exercise!
My body is wondering what's going on. Haven't been near the loo in two days and have an irritating sugar withdrawal headache.
Roll on weigh in day Sunday!

Bathsheba3 · 06/01/2016 18:59

Big welcome Thankful. Please come and join us. You sound really positive, despite your illness. Smile

MFP (& this thread!) is great - you only have to read on Emz & Jonty's excellent losses.

I think you are amazing already and we don't "know" you yet. My DH was diagnosed 10 years ago today. Great chemo/tons of surgery surgery sorted him out against ALL odds. Huge huge respect for you Flowers

Emz449 · 06/01/2016 19:22

Wow Thankful how inspiring Flowers wish you all the best on your weight loss. It's a great group here and really supportive on all aspects, not just weight loss.

Managed to get the calories up to 1,100 with a small chocolate, cheese and deli meats - yum!

Tomorrow will be a good day too, have my weetabix and banana for breakfast, Thai flavoured soup for lunch, meat and cheese for snacks and then low carb cottage pie for dinner. Feeling better about things and more in control today. Big relief!

jonty meant to say congrats on getting to your lowest weight and Bath it's lovely having you posting regularly again Smile
