Can't believe we've had to start a new thread already!

I'm on plan today and feeling good about it, this weight will go down! Still 10'13 this morning, not too disappointed. Hoping it'll go down with a good sleep or two over the weekend!

Welcome Diet! Glad you've joined us.

Hope things get better soon for you Not2.

This time of year is so hard. I'm feeling pretty bloated myself today, had another 'Christmas day' with my partners family yesterday and there was so much food. It was great! Then went out with my family this evening. I was very good though and had a salad!!

I have a coffee date tomorrow morning and then going to a friends for dinner and it won't be a light one! I'm quite looking forward to going back to Bristol really and not eating so much and drinking, will be a relief.

What are everyone's New Years plans? We're headed to a house party so no food to contend with, I can just have a healthy day and then drink a lot The day after that we have dinner at my family's and then a couple more days and home! The times flown by really

Morning all. Lying here trying to figure out if I escaped the hangover or is about to kick in. Had a great night out, really enjoyed it. Didn't go mad with food (still a bit naughty but not delinquent)
NYE will be a night in my dbro's, 5 adults, 4 kids & 1 dog. Should be good. I feel bad saying this but I'm kinda ready to go back to work now, haven't had this long off in I don't know how long! Finished work Tuesday week ago at lunchtime and apart from 2-3 phone calls on the Wednesday, I've been off duty. I need to do something today/tomorrow...hmmm....maybe I'll start on my application form for my exam - I think it may take days/weeks to fill in. I'm on a no spend buzz now, so I can't go shopping (apart from food/fuel)
Oh it's no use, I think I'll have to get up and have a tea

JontyDoggle37 · 30/12/2015 10:29

Morning all. Well done to all of those staying on track. I've been pretty far off track the last couple of days. I just can't seem to get it together if I'm not exercising. And I still can't breathe enough to run. So I might just be on damage limitation until Monday and then get back to it fully. The good news is I have a new deadline - I've entered one of my horses in a competition on 13th February and just realised I can only fit in my competition breeches when I'm 10st or less! Out for lunch today to Wagamamas too which is one of my favourite places to eat.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 30/12/2015 10:48

Wow Jonty I think you are superwoman! A baby and horses and a business! Well no messing now, we have to fit you in your breeches (or else buy you some substantial knickers in case of an unfortunately placed wardrobe malfunction on competition day)!

Not2 did the hangover materialise?

Emz you are having a social whirl! Glad you are enjoying it.

I am down again to 10st 5.6. So glad it is whooshing off again.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 30/12/2015 12:14

I am just taking stock of where my wardrobe is at. The main problem is bras (again!). I basically only have 2 that remotely fit, and they are both black. My plan is to get to 10st then I will treat myself to some nude ones. I will limp on with gapey ones until then.

I don't need any other clothes or shoes at the moment but in summer I will need a whole new summer wardrobe. I will also need new swimwear as I have none at all that would be not completely indecent now. I might even contemplate getting a bikini for the first time ever instead of a tankinI Shock

IMustEatMoreVeg · 30/12/2015 12:15

I'm going to go out for a walk now to get the old circulation moving a bit.

Not2bObvious · 30/12/2015 13:33

The hangover has landed - and I'm afraid I'm eating my way through it. Not to worry, 1 more day won't kill me. I'd love to go for a walk but the winds too high here to risk it & the kids are in veg out mode. No hope of getting them out of the pj's.
imust - brilliant weigh in! You're so back on track
Wow jonty, I have visions of Jilly Cooper'esque frolics and split jodhpurs 😁 Sounds like a very doable goal for you, best of luck.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 30/12/2015 18:16

Back from my walk. I went into Next as they are th worst for vanity sizing, right? Just to see whether I could get them on, I tried a couple of pairs of size 8 trousers. The tailored suit trousers fit perfectly and the skinny jeans were a bit of a squeeze but they fastened!!!! I didn't buy either of them because I don't need any new clothes but I have never been a size 8 ever in my life!

Emz449 · 30/12/2015 21:47

This was my dinner this evening!

IMust wooooohooooo!!!! Size 8 is amazing!!!!😄👏👏👏👏👏

IMustEatMoreVeg · 30/12/2015 22:57

Emz that looks delicious Grin

I know but Next sizes are crazy. Not a real size 8. I don't think my actual skeleton is a real size 8, IYKWIM. Wink

Not2bObvious · 31/12/2015 09:28

Wow on the size 8, my new skinny jeans are from there and are a 12, they're quite roomy so agree on the vanity sizing but even still a size 8 fitting in tailored trousers would mean you're between an 8 and a 10 - not too shabby I think you'll agree!
Oh dear, yesterday was dreadful on the eating. Had tonnes of bread, chip shop food and millions of quality street. Not my fault of course yeah right I asked dh to get some chocolate, meaning a bar and he came home with big bag of QS! I ate on autopilot. Oh well, it's done now, put it behind my v big behind
Washed my dress for the family gathering tonight, although I feel funny going out at 5 in heels & sparkle but it is NYE and I'm hoping my SIL will be equally glam so I don't look like a numpty. Still a bit bunged up, could really do with a run but I think my chest won't allow me, I'd be coughing & spluttering in 2 mins. Gone off the exercise in a big way

IMustEatMoreVeg · 31/12/2015 17:38

Not2 that sounds extremely glamorous! I would love to be going out in sparkles and heels but alas for me it is to be an evening of watching TV and loafing in UGG boots and a fleece blanket! I will no doubt have a little drinky of something fizzy with DH to celebrate New Year though, so I am looking forward to tonight.

So my usual monthly round up:
Start weight at Dec 10st 7 and 3/4
Lowest weight during Dec (on 17th) 10st 2 and 7/8
End weight 31st Dec 10st 6 exactly

So this month I have lost 1.75lb overall. Shock Hmm Grin
Never mind. Onwards and downwards! I have lost 45lb since I started dieting in July so I am very pleased with my efforts this year overall. I have not been in the best of health from a mental perspective, and have started on antidepressants. I do feel much better since being on them, but I shudder to think

JemimaMuddledUp · 31/12/2015 17:44

Hello, can I join you?

I lost 6 stone during 2012/13 using MFP. But at the start of 2014 I stopped logging and have put about 4 stone back on Blush

I'm going back to logging in 2016, with the plan of losing 2 stone, or maybe 3 if it goes well. I aim to shift the first stone by March, the second by July and if I decide to lose a third then that by December.

Logging starts in earnest on Saturday. I am helyg on there if you want to find me for accountability!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 31/12/2015 18:00

pressed send too soon...
I shudder to think how down I would have been feeling if I had still been at my prior weight.

I know I have said it (probably quite a few times) before, but this is the most successful weight loss I have ever done and I am so happy to be here with you guys, doing this, having all of our successes.

Happy New Year Flowers Flowers Flowers

JontyDoggle37 · 31/12/2015 18:45

Welcome Jemima!
Happy New Year all, and IMust it sounds like physically and mentally you're putting yourself in a much better place.
I have been building a Pinterest board today, of clothes makeup and hairstyles I want to adopt when I hit my goal. Im giving myself a bit of a style makeover at the same time, and learned a bit more about makeup techniques too - I want to be a well-put-together yummy mummy in 2016!!

Not2bObvious · 01/01/2016 03:32

Happy new year my mfp friends! Xxx
(Obv bit pi**ed, hic😉)

JontyDoggle37 · 01/01/2016 06:35

Lol Not2b hope you had a great time.
Well, I've faced the scales. 10st 7.75, so currently a 4lb gain.😳😡🙄
I've just thrown the last of the chocolates in the bin, my meal plan and shopping list for the week is done, and i'm ready to be back on track. I've revised my goal down slightly to 9st 12, which means I have 9.75lbs to lose at this point. Bring it on!

Loungingbutnotforlong · 01/01/2016 09:19

Happy new year everyone! Sounds like you are all doing fabulously 🎉 I am back on it today- ate whatever I wanted over Christmas and have gained 5lbs (lowest over December had been 10.2.5).
I am not too distressed though- I know it will work again. Plus, high excitement, my focus t25 DVDs arrive tomorrow- I will make like Shaun t and 'train like a boss'.
Good luck everyone in 2016! Hope it is a fantastic year for everyone. X

Loungingbutnotforlong · 01/01/2016 09:24

Welcome jemima and diet!
imust that is fantastic- a size8, although I was living under an illusion and did not know next was vanity sizing! Boo!
jonty- great to have a goal for February. I am trying to set my own 2016 goals

twinkle183 · 01/01/2016 10:08

Hi ya girls!!! Can I join... I am twinkle183 same as on here... Need to loose 2-2.5 stone was gonna do a quick fix of meal replacement but have decided instead that mfp is the way to go as its a more healthy option and also when I get the weight off I want it to stay off! This worked for me a couple of years ago when I was at uni! I have just ballooned to 74kgs so need to do something... The last 2 weeks I have been comfort eating as my mum passed away and it has left a huge hole in my life... But I promised her I would be healthy and happy so here I am!!! Smile

So are people combining mfp with anything else food wise or just with exercise??

Gonna be exercising at least 3-4 times a week and doing 10,000 steps a day!! (Am dusting off my Fitbit as we speak)

Well done to all those that have lost and am hoping one of those will be me!!! X

IMustEatMoreVeg · 01/01/2016 11:07

Oh no Blush it is just my perception about Next. Maybe it isn't vanity sizing - in which case I am even happier!

No movement here but ready for a full on push this year to get to goal. Jonty my goal is also 9st 12. Anything beginning with a 9 really.

JontyDoggle37 · 01/01/2016 11:55

Welcome twinkle. I've cut out bread altogether and reduced portions sizes of pasta and rice dramatically - I typically have 50-60g as a portion now, instead of the old 'large handful' which it turns out was probably about 120g!!!

JontyDoggle37 · 01/01/2016 11:59

Oh, I'm also sticking to the 'palm of your hand' measurement for protein portions, and when working out how much to cook if something looking at it and thinking 'what is the smallest amount of that which would stop me being hungry?'. Once you start being that conscious about portion sizes, it gets really easy to lose weight.

DietChic · 01/01/2016 16:09

Happy New Year!

Weighed in this morning at 13st 3. Have eaten too large a lunch so no evening meal tonight. A pound a week is realistic - so by April I could be 12st. Not ultra skinny but I'd be much happier.

Good luck with this week!
