Not as angelic a day as originally planned but not too bad. But hungover after night out so there's only so much saintly behaviour to be expected. Blooming exhausted and have to do a food shop....sign, just want to go to bed tbh. Feel so bunged up I haven't taken my iron today or yesterday, I was only borderline low anyway so I'll just make more effort with my diet rather than taking supplements. I really hope I do better tomorrow!
Great that you're still 10.9 emz, sounds like a true weight. Milky just keep going, I had that experience a number of times, I'd have my start weight but a week later despite best efforts I would weigh in heavier, but it was weight from a week or 2 before. I think sometimes weight takes a coud of weeks to show, you have a bad week, think you got away with it but it appears 2 weeks later. i hope that makes sense - I am a bit brain dead today Confused

Loungingbutnotforlong · 26/10/2015 17:27

So the days out are going well and ok-ish choices for lunch- avoiding the chocolate and sweets that DH is eating- but second night in a row that I will have to eat porridge for tea to stay within 1200 Smile

Tryingno1 · 26/10/2015 18:48

Didn't weigh today as had awful weekend of bingeing and wasn't in mood to be depressed ha!
Done 850 today and am hungry but gonna stay strong!
Em well done for staying same
Not2 sorry ur so shattered! It's hard to make good food choices when tired I just want cake and choc!

MrsDLH · 26/10/2015 18:54

Hi folks... Been busy today, first day of half term madness began with DD and I sorting her room. I have moved all the furniture, including the bed and wardrobe, by myself. Cleaned everything. So step count bad but must have burned some calories!

Had a very calorific Saturday but Sunday and today was good, within 1200 and had loads of exercise calories. Weighed in this morning at slightly less than Friday which is unheard of so my body must be getting used to the water! Please let me have a loss today! Planning a 1000 day tomorrow

Welcome, lounging
Emz 10 St 9 is amazing!
Sorry you're glum, Bath - it's horrid when you feel down and it's a vicious circle because you eat nice things to feel better but ultimately it doesn't Flowers
Hello everyone else!! Have to sort the kids out for bed... Little sods darlings

Bathsheba3 · 26/10/2015 19:30

Awww, thanks MrsD. And am well impressed on the cleaning too. I'll polish your halo for you!

Am within 1200 for the day, and that includes my wine allocation for this evening. Will drop this 6 lb off before I know it, and then get started on the next 6.

Hope you got through the hangover Not2be. Hope the night out was worth it though!

Enjoy your porridge for tea Loungin!. That takes mighty will power. It will be worth it.

Emz449 · 26/10/2015 19:42

Bath! I'm sorry i didn't see your post, thank you. I'm sorry you're feeling glum Flowers I hope you feel better soon

Trying hope the hunger doesn't kick in.

Mrs DLH sounds like a productive start to half term.

Day was good here minus the cake, i actually didn't have any dinner to make up for it to be honest, this type of cake is definitely full of sugar, fat and calories, it tastes amazing and is also very filling so I didn't feel the need to have anything. Shows how far i've come really because i usually would eat something that I wouldn't have really been hungry for.

NSV for me today too, I was waiting in the chemists for my prescription to come and this older chap was buying some cough sweets and he said to me 'You'd lose your slim figure if you ate as many of these as I do'. Me!! Slim!! Couldn't believe it, was very flattered. Naturally i came straight home and told my boyfriend all about it ha.

Also perhaps TMI but i booked my first smear test today, please tell me it's not as bad as it sounds?!

MrsDLH · 26/10/2015 20:07

Ooh get you Emz! Wink
Smears are honestly fine...just try and stay relaxed as possible. They are a little uncomfortable but not painful, it just sets my teeth on edge for some reason! First smear...now I do feel old!!

Tryingno1 · 26/10/2015 20:41

Oh what a great compliemnt to keep u motivated! Bet ur looking great and bought some nice lingerie for u and boyf (wink wink).
Smears are totally fine. Deep breath in and look at ceeling then it's over!

JontyDoggle37 · 26/10/2015 20:56

Finishing out a manic day on 1106 calories, with 560 in hand from exercise. Saving a cuppa and a ginger nut for when I (eventually) get to bed. Lots of work to do first...

Not2bObvious · 27/10/2015 06:09

Just to add to the reassurance Emz, worse part about smear is the anticipation. I didn't have my first, even after having 2 babies, until I was 35 through pure fear. It was completely unfounded, but I'd been the type that was convinced I wouldn't have babies cause I was too scared. Very very easy, literally 1-2 mins, takes you longer to get your bits and pieces off and get on the couch! So if a scaredy cat like me can do it, a fine slim young one like you will be fine Wink
I'm going to fill in my mfp for yesterday, I didn't/won't track Sunday but I'm not burying my head in the sand for yesterday. My saving grace was I went to bed just after 8 last night so I didn't do anymore damage. Now I'm confident I have a working accurate scales I'm going to change to a weekly weigh in for a few weeks, see how that goes. On a veggie day today, did it last week and it kept the cals down nicely. No junk/wine until Friday. Full day of work ahead, looking forward to keeping busy!

JontyDoggle37 · 27/10/2015 08:16

Emz the compliments will keep rolling in now!
Not2b well done on logging and de-sanding your head. Always best to know where you're at!
Purpleknickers where are you? If you're lurking come back!Grin
No loss for me today, but I feel lighter so hoping for a shift tomorrow. Aiming for 1300 today, porridge for breakfast, tuna Niçoise salad for lunch and spaghetti bolognese for dinner.

Tryingno1 · 27/10/2015 09:12

Hey guys am back to 11 finally and I saw the scales try do a 10 something so fingers crossed will be 10 13 on Friday. Planning another super good day today!
Jonty hopefully a move for u tmrw-ur day sounds tasty!
Not2-getting on the scales and facing the numbers is a sign your on the right track! It's when I eat and eat and ignore the scales that the weight creeps on
Smoothie for brekkie for me
Egg salad
Chicken roast for dinner

Also discovered these lovely hone made flapjacks if anyone interested for recipie. 100 cals per bar no added sugar and full of goodness and gluten and dairy free (if anyone into that stuff!). My dh thinks they taste of cardboard! But I adore them and gives me a sweet kick after dinner that I need

Emz449 · 27/10/2015 10:50

I'd like the recipe please Trying! Glad the scales have gone back down for you.

Hope the scales shift for you too Jonty, maybe tomorrow will be the day.

Stayed the same for me thing, there was a flicker to 10'7 and I gasped but then it settled on 10'9 still. Not complaining of course Grin

I'm sure the test isn't as bad as I think it is, just sounds awful!

MilkyChops · 27/10/2015 11:44

I lost 2lb. Wooo.

Hoping to break into the next stone bracket by next week.

Had banana on danish bread for brekkie, not sure what to do for tea.

Just having a coffee and quavers now.

Tryingno1 · 27/10/2015 12:01

2 large ripe bananas
1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1/4 cup pitted, chopped dried dates
1/4 cup chopped nuts — such as walnuts, hazelnuts, or pecans
Grated nutmeg or cinnamon (optional)

Mix together and bake at 220 for 20-30 mins

Yum yum enjoy! I mix it up and put raisins and diff nuts in. I make a week worth and cut it into 120 calorie pieces for my mid morning snack with coffee!

Well done milky. A lot of us hoping to get into the next stroke bracket shortly. Fingers crossed we do it!

MajesticWhine · 27/10/2015 13:10

Well done those who have lost weight / stayed the same. I have not been MFPing accurately for about 6 days, and have gained 1 lb. I guess it could have been worse. I was staying with my mum, which meant big meals and puddings, I was also tucking in to the wine and had a couple of meals out. I am also finding it difficult to be active as a result of having a cold and also because of half term, without the walk to school and normal routine.
That recipe looks good Tryingno1, I will try that some time this week. I have got hundreds of apples at the moment, so I might try doing some flapjacks with chopped apple as well.

Myusername2015 · 27/10/2015 13:30

Hello ladies! Can I join you? Getting married in 8 weeks have already lost 2 stone calorie counting with mfp but would love at least 8lbs more for the big day...fingers crossed!

Not2bObvious · 27/10/2015 15:18

Welcome myusername, congrats on the upcoming nuptials and the 2 stone loss. How long did that take? Tell us more about your journeyWink Always love hearing all the deets.
Only worked a half day in the end, collected kids, lunch/tidy/ironing and now sit down for a bit. On my veggie day today, had soup for lunch but had to share with 2 others (damn them kids needing feeding Grin) Feel a bit peckish but I'm not eating until 5.30 at the earliest. Toying with the idea of doing a weights class tonight...hmm, it'll keep me away from the goodies! We shall see

Bathsheba3 · 27/10/2015 22:21

Thanks for the recipe Trying - sound really yummy, and low cal too! And really hoping you will get to the 10s this week, and into the next bracket for you too Milkychops. You will be 10 1/2 before you know it Emz. How long til your big trip?

Hope you got to your weights class this evening Not2. I've never done weights, but love the toned look.

Welcome Myusername2015. Getting married - how very exciting! And a Christmas wedding too?

SmillasSenseOfSnow · 28/10/2015 01:41

MilkyChops, can I ask what 'Danish bread' is? I'm curious now as to which it might be. Some kind of rye? The Danes have a few different types of bread. Wink

JontyDoggle37 · 28/10/2015 06:24

Welcome myuser
Well done Milky
Trying hope you get that drop today
Bath waves
Emz here's hoping for another loss for you soon
I'm still the same today, 10 stone 13.5. It's starting to feel like I've been here a long while! (Which isn't true, but it feels like it!) ended up having a bit more than planned yesterday, as I had to do a fasting blood test in the morning to see if I have diabetes, and it messed my blood sugar up so much not eating at my normal time that I had the shakes until early afternoon when I resorted to emergency peanut butter and I levelled out again! I've had Reactive Hypoglycaemia for quite a while, but doc wants to check if it's tipped over into full diabetes. I'll be really bloody annoyed of it has considering I'm so careful with my diet!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 28/10/2015 08:30

Trying - well done on getting to 11st that is good going. Do you feel slinky Grin

Emz - you are rocking now. It was only a couple of weeks ago that we were all sad about your mammoth stall. I remember because I was on holiday. And now here we are awaiting 10st 7 for you!

Jonty - so what kind of diabetes would that be? Surely you are too thin for type 2? Sorry I don't know much about this?

I am messing about going back and forth over the same 2lb for the last 10 days. I know it's not long but I want to see a new low weight! Still, just 3 or 4lb to lose to get to 11st which is my end of Nov target. Anything I lose after that is a bonus.

Emz449 · 28/10/2015 09:27

Good morning everyone!

Trying thanks for the recipe, sounds really nice - might have to give it a go.

Milky congrats on your loss

Myusername welcome Smile I hope you get down to the weight you want for your big day, do you have your dress ready?

Bath it's 30 days exactly today, argh! I'm so excited Grin

Jonty hoping the scales move for you too and that your test results are in your favour, fingers crossed.

No change for me today, however that is entirely my fault. A friend asked if I wanted to go to see James Bond last night (which was brilliant by the way) and we went for dinner before hand. Burger with caramelised onions and cheese and sweet potato fries, it was amazing! Today will be a low calorie day to make up for it, it's a blessing really that the scales stayed the same!

OP posts:
Bathsheba3 · 28/10/2015 09:48

Ohh Jonty - how frustrating. It will come off, it's just when! Sorry to hear about your medical stuff. I hope they sort out what is wrong & get you sorted soon enough.

That burger sounded amazing Emz! I went to burger joint with DD & friend monday, but given my 6lb gain I was VERY restrained, & had burger with salad, no bun, & only as many fries from the girls as they allowed me (not many!). It was delicious enough.

So weigh-in this morning I have magically lost 3 of those 6 lbs, so back to 11 st 11. I reckon carbs make you weigh more, irrespective of the calorie content. So 2 days off & the scales are kind. Still a long way to go.

Yes - Purpleknickers - please come back! And irishe - how are you doing? You have had such a great loss? Hope all is OK.

Emz449 · 28/10/2015 09:52

Oh Bath is that Burger joint in Bristol? I LOVE it there, it's amazing, you were very restrained! My boyfriend and I lived round the corner from there and there were one too many trips when we first moved to Bristol.

Congrats on your loss! You must be happy. I agree about the carbs, I find they have the biggest effect of the scales
