Psycho am I right in thinking your bmi is 23? And you exercise a lot? Please don't feel disgustingly greedy! You probably need the extra calories Smile

OP posts:
MajesticWhine · 23/10/2015 16:55

My official calorie target is 1250, but I often use up some of my "exercise calories" so it's more like 1350. I can stick to that usually. I have had a couple of days off this week though. I have had a big work deadline that has been quite challenging, so I can't resist rewarding myself with eating in the old carefree way. Yesterday was easily 2000 or a bit more. Today has probably been approx 1000 so far. I will try not to have a terribly greedy weekend and will start counting and exercising again on Monday.

Tryingno1 · 23/10/2015 17:09

I do 1000 5 days a week and then 2 days can be up to 2000 when I go out for dinner or generally binge out! I usually do 3 days in a row, see a loss and reward myself the next day by being naughty then next day I feel bad and then am good again!

This way I'm loosing about a pound a week. I've promised myself that Sunday-Fri coming up week I will have 1000 max and I'm not taking a single sweet item into my mouth as i am going to be 10 12.5 by next Friday even if it kills me!!! Will be interesting to see how much I loose if I just do it 6 days in a row rather than breaking it up with a bad day!

Not a very short answer! Sorry! I think on average I prob do 1200-1300

Emz449 · 23/10/2015 18:35

Meant to say i aim for 1200 but can be at 1300/400 depending if i've had a bad day!

OP posts:
MrsDLH · 23/10/2015 20:18

My target is 1200 plus using my step calories if desperate for 6 days a week, Sun-Fri. Saturday is generally between 1800-2000 (very occasionally more). I work out 2/3 times a week but don't log it, other than steps. And this week, I did a 900 and 1000 day to mix it up a bit! Didn't do owt, mind.....

Not2bObvious · 23/10/2015 20:34

Oh help! Like most Friday intentions gone by the wayside, I got lost and found myself halfway down a bottle of sav b. I'm probably still within the cals I should be (allow 1500 plus some from exercise)
What's with the guilt though? You'd swear I'd eaten a large Domino's pizza and a Chinese washed down by 4 pints and 2 tubs of Ben & Jerrys. When in fact I ate 2/3 of my fish and canneloni bean v healthy meal after walking 20,000+ steps. Jeez this trying to be slimmer lark is hard on the brain

Emz449 · 23/10/2015 20:55

Enjoy Not2, it's what Friday nights are for Grin I really miss Friday night drinks, my boyfriend didn't have uni on Fridays or would finish at about 2 so he would also have some wine/prosecco or cider ready for when i got back from work. He was well trained Grin

I've switched to MFP instead of slimming world. Logged 5 days now and will weigh in on Tuesday. Got 2 stone to lose before my wedding next year.

Not managing to do any exercise apart from walking with the buggy and general running round after small baby but I'm doing well with my food intake.

BeaBoo · 23/10/2015 21:04

Not2 it sounds like you've done really well all day so I wouldn't worry! Like you said, it's not like you're eating a huge pizza and a tub of ice cream. Wine is grapes which is fruit so technically it's just really natural and good for you Grin

Emz I miss Friday night drinks too. A couple of years ago we used to live in a lovely apartment in Leeds city centre and would always go for a few cocktails after work on a Friday night. Now I have a toddler and have moved out to the countryside, and in spending my Friday night horizontal on the settee watching a rubbish zombie series on Netflix!

I've finished off the soup from yesterday for my tea. It was really delicious and I'll definitely make it again. Had a green smoothie for my breakfast (ended up having it at lunchtime as I was at playgroup with DD in the morning) and a brioche swirl thing mid afternoon. Not the greatest choice but it needed eating and I hate to waste food...

Not2bObvious · 23/10/2015 21:21

Thanks emz & bea, I've had some Terry's choc orange and picnic bar too which has raisins - so with the grapes from the wine and my healthy choc, I'm on the right track Halloween Grin Oh you young ones talking about Friday night fizzy and cocktails, been a few more years for me but yup Friday's used to be fundays. To be fair I still usually enjoy a nice meal and a few drinks, no babies anymore, still need minding but aren't too high maintenance - can't complain even though I do
Welcome Milky, the food is 80% of weight loss so if you've got that sorted you're elected, best of luck, you'll get lots of support here

BeaBoo · 23/10/2015 21:32

Welcome milky. I don't do any excercise whatsoever Blush

Emz449 · 23/10/2015 21:33

Welcome Milky!

I had a scoop of ice cream and a kitkat for dinner tonight, basically a very dessert from my lunch earlier. 'Twas very nice! I couldn't be arsed with cooking anything and didn't really have the calories for a proper meal.

This weekend will be 100% on plan.
B/L will be 2 sausages 2 eggs, toast and beans and dinner will be soup with a couple of snacks in between. Weekend breakfasts are the best!

OP posts:
Tryingno1 · 23/10/2015 22:32

I must have hit 2000 today. Oops. At least we all honest and hope we all
Enjoyed our nights off! Not2--ur still in calorie count though so relax! And deprive urself of 200 cals tmrw if u really feel guilty in the am!

Tmrw I'm back on behaving!

MrsDLH · 23/10/2015 23:46

My daily count came in at 1313 cals... Unlucky for some? Not me, I had a bounty!! Bloody lovely. No alcohol tonight, dh is out so no temptation... I remember going out Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights while working two day jobs. Now, I just want to be in bed by half ten! Become right anti social.

Emz that breakfast sounds amazing! I could eat it right now but will just have my cup of tea instead.

Welcome Milky, getting the food right is more important...you have to work out loads to burn off a biscuit! Although might help with toning and maintenance she hopes

SmillasSenseOfSnow · 24/10/2015 02:44

I had the biggest 'whoosh' ever today, after my period finishing - 0.9 kg since I weighed myself two or three days before. Fairly sure I ate close to maintenance on two of those days as well. I think maybe going in to uni and coming back involves more walking than I am putting in? Confused It's all good though. My approach has been much more relaxed lately, and as long as I'm still slowly losing I'm happy. Smile Domino's looks likely tomorrow... Blush

JontyDoggle37 · 24/10/2015 07:40

MesDLH isn't it great when treats are within calories?Smile
Smillas Dominos is fine, just eat light before and after, and maybe eat your pizza a bit more slowly than usual, so your stomach has time to catch up and tell you when you're full?
No loss for me today, and looking back over this weeks stats it tells me I've had over a thousand calories of wine, so basically a whole day of food in alcohol. It's been a challenging week with a lot going on, but I need to stop seeing that as a reason to drink wine. Not least because my body hates it and I'm sat here with a rotten headache from two large glasses of red. I'm going for seven days wine free as of now. The wine left from last night is going in the freezer for cooking.
One of the big things happening is I have a major job interview in ten days time, so I'd like to give myself a boost by dropping another 2-3lbs by then. Without wine it will come off a lot easier!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 24/10/2015 07:55

Another gain this morning! I had about 1300 yesterday because I ate my exercise calories. I had pasta for dinner but all within allowance. I am 5/8lb up since yesterday. Sad I don't think this can be a real gain, surely? I am also bunged up. I think Monday was the last time I had any, er, you know, movement!
I'm out for dinner tonight and it is a set menu so no wise choosing possible. I think I might fast until tonight so I have all my allowance just for dinner. I will still be over because there will be wine but hopefully not by much.

IMustEatMoreVeg · 24/10/2015 07:59

Jonty - good luck with your interview. I am quite a big wine drinker but the calories in it have really put me off tbh. At the moment I want to be lighter more than I want a drink.

Not2bObvious · 24/10/2015 09:04

Imust, not a real gain, of course it isn't. It's just bulky food added to all the other food that hasn't left your system. Instead of fasting today, try eat/drink something that will help the progression of the blockage. I'm something similar this week but not as bad and it's been very irritating. Keep hydrated, have some activia with prunes maybe (dairy binds to fat I believe so I'm all about the dairy these days) Some more fibre-ey foods. Remember the daily fluctuations are only part of the bigger or smaller picture.
Jonty how exciting!!! I hear you about the wine, anything over 2 and my heads banging and my body seems to just stall. I managed 5 days on the dry after my hols, which is still poor but better than I'd been for a long time. You'll do fantastic no matter whether you're the weight you are now or 2lb lighter, if it had been a few months ago how much heavier would you have been, you're doing great consistently. Show them that determination in the interview and you'll be a shoo in.
I'm down to 12.4.2 this morning, so in 6 days I've dropped from 12.10.2 to this - so if that isn't an indication that some weight is just bloat/waste then I don't know what is cause to have genuinely dropped that amount I would have to have burned over around 21,000 calories. And I can assure you I did not Halloween Grin
The holiday gain stands at .6 of a pound as I was 12.3.6 this day 2 weeks ago. So it's put me back 2 weeks in my weight loss journey. That's a huge improvement on the past. Hopefully by next weekend I'll have gotten under 12.3. Anyone else up?

MrsDLH · 24/10/2015 09:22

Nice whoosh Smillas! Enjoy your dominoes, you adjust other days to compensate and use that as your main meal.

Jonty it was a lovely, guilt free treat! Good luck with the interview, that would be enough to send me to a bottle of wine.

Imust that won't be a proper gain, once you 'go', it will go...

I started writing this an hour ago then had to help dh extract a piece of light bulb from the fitting after blowing last night...don't ask. Kids off horse riding with dh and sil so I get a couple of hours peace to play candy crush clean the bathroom.

Tryingno1 · 24/10/2015 10:04

Not2 that's absolutely amazing! Great work! Keep it going :)
Ohhhh I love a good dominoes! I ask for it with low fat cheese and it honestly makes noooo diff to the taste-give it a go!

I'm still 11.0.8 so since loosing most of my holiday weight this silly 0.8 has stuck. I was terrible yest but will be mega mega good now! So I'm with u not2! I'm planning to get to 10.13 by next Friday-so just under a 2 pound loss.

MilkyChops · 24/10/2015 10:29

Get some water and senna in you, you can't just put on 5 lb of fat overnight. Do you feel bloaty? Hope it shifts for you.

I'm going to try my best today, I'm shattered after sleepless nights, early starts and being whacked out from painkillers. Good job it's raining so I won't be tempted to get dressed and walk to shops and buy crap Blush. Going to have a pork dinner with lots of veggies today so that should stop me picking hopefully.

Emz449 · 24/10/2015 11:54

I weighed in this morning at 10stone 9! Cant bloody believe it! Over 4 stone gone. That's my monthly goal achieved too Smile if i managed to lose another 2lbs then I'd meet my original goal of losing half a stone. I won't aim for that though, maybe 10 stone 8 to save disappointment. Hurrah! Feels so good after having plateaued for so long.

Smillas - Congrats on your loss, enjoy your dominos if/when you have it Smile

Hope you reach your goal in time for your job interview Jonty and the interview goes well for you.

Imust definitely won't be a real gain, especially if you're bunged up, do you have any fybogel at all? I find is useful for times like that, my ibs takes the form of extremely slow digestion and fybogel helps when its been a few days.

Just off to make breakfast with a spring in my step Grin

MilkyChops · 24/10/2015 11:55

Well done Emz. That's fantastic!

Tryingno1 · 24/10/2015 12:30

Emz amazing!!! We're u doing soup for lunch and dinner all week? Wot about ur brekkie? I might copy u! Just shows sticking to it really pays off. Enjoy ur new weight :)
