I'm so impressed with you all.

Going to have some loss to post at some point - doubt it'll be next week, though. Ankle's a nuisance, can't drive or walk far...so, eating out the cupboards. Which contain tunnocks. Arf.

I HAVE made a jump forward in my mindset, though. Am not living like this. Nope.

Going to be down a dress size by Christmas. So, that's, what, half a stone? In 9 weeks?

BeaBoo · 19/10/2015 13:47

Well done jonty!!!
**
I've ate crap all weekend again. Weighed myself this morning and I'm 4lb heavier than I was at my official weigh in on Friday. Is that even possible?!

psychotropic · 19/10/2015 13:50

It's definitely possible, my weight seems to have around a 5lb range day by day so I'm logging most days then once a week I'll work out my average by adding them up and dividing by 7.

Bathsheba3 · 19/10/2015 14:35

Wooo hooo Jonty!

Not2bObvious · 19/10/2015 18:49

Have you finished all the teacakes yet Stealth I'd kill for one of them Don't worry too much about the exercise, it really does seem to be 80% what you eat. I worked out like a loon for months but if I'm honest I must acknowledge that it's my weekend binges that cancelled out all the hard work. If you can get your eating sorted out, battles on the way to bring won. I need to lose a stone to drop a dress size but lots of people can see the difference in 7lbs.
Having a good day, day 2 of clean'ish eating and going to do a weight class in the morning, been over 2 weeks since I've been to a class due to sickness & hols, still don't feel 100% but at this rate if I'm waiting to feel tip-top I'll never get back! How's everyone doing, had a good day?

psychotropic · 19/10/2015 19:11

Not a bad day, am up to 800 calories so plenty of scope for my evening meal and night snack Smile my total average over past 7 days is still over 2000 but net is about 1500 a day. Wish I'd got round to making soup at the weekend but I did have a go at making egg white vegetable muffins, like mini frittatas, and they were great. I might just eat a pile of those tonight Blush

psychotropic · 19/10/2015 19:12

Except I already ate them all and probably won't get home for another hour or so and am feeling the tired lazy takeaway vibe

Emz449 · 19/10/2015 20:07

I had to google what a tunnocks tea cake was Blush

Good day here today! Soup for lunch and soup for dinner, it's really nice actually, quite impressed with myself! The only downfall are the maryland cookies that were practically forced into my mouth at a site visit! At only 53 calories a pop it could have been a lot worse .

I have however made cookies for work tomorrow, we have created a new tradition of bringing in something sweet mid week to get up through the slump so i baked the nigella lawson chocolate chip cookies and they're about 350 calories each Shock Think i'll stick to the one this time and be extra good during the day!

That's good going soup for lunch and dinner! Wot sort did u make
I had strawberries then soup then chicken stir fry and a tangerine!
Came in at 820 today and am full!

irishe · 19/10/2015 20:33

Hi all
God this half term business isn't half wrecking my mumsnet surfing!
I have been running around a farm "family fun" place all day. DC enjoyed it, I survived it!

Lots of posts to catch up on

jonty the 10's are here! Much deserved.
imust you are shrinking so fast, you will disappear before our eyes. Wise words on the whooshing, I do appear to be a whoosher!
not2 good to hear the holiday bloat is dropping fast.
bea it is certainly possible to put 4lbs on over a weekend (sadly). I do believe if it goes on quickly, it can come off quickly. Don't let it stick!
emz how can you not know what a tunnocks tea cake is! Shock. A staple of the northern hordes afternoon tea.
stealth you can definitely drop a dress size by Xmas, go for it!
psycho did you have the take away? If so, hope it was tasty.

Well I weighed in this morning (official weigh in day) and had drifted up by .5lb, leaving me with a 4lb loss last week. That will do nicely, thank you!

Wonder if I will stay static now for 2 weeks, then whoosh again?. I am going to track it, has happened twice now.

I am 2lb off losing 3 stone , my oct target. I am confident I can do this. Wondering if I could manage another stone by end of year? Not sure about that.

This thread is a great motivator!

irishe · 19/10/2015 20:35

Hey trying 820 for the day is great. Particularly, the not hungry bit!

Tryingno1 · 19/10/2015 20:35

Wow Irish! 3 stones that's absolutely amazing!!!

irishe · 19/10/2015 20:36

Thank you. trying I actually think this thread is really helping me. I am learning loads as well.

Tryingno1 · 19/10/2015 20:36

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not full not sure why I used that word
But I'm comfortable with how I feel!
Will step on scales tmrw and hope that 4 pound holiday gain was just a lie!
I'm wondering if I can do 900 just for a few days it will help loose it asap and motivate me? Got a lunch on Thursday though but menu looks quite healthy and will pass on the dessert

irishe · 19/10/2015 20:40

Comfortable is good too! Better maybe?

Well it was 2 x days at 900 plus 1 day at just under 600 (felt poorly) that dropped 4lbs for me. It is certainly motivating, I feel thoroughly perky on the weight loss subject now!

MrsDLH · 19/10/2015 20:48

Warning: epic post...
Emz brilliant loss, you have well and truly crashed through the 11st barrier! Gives me hope Smile nice batch of soup you have there too
Bath glad you had a nice weekend away, where did you go?
jonty another one in the 10s, yay! Hope it's an epidemic...
trying and not2 i don't think theyre true gains, a mixure of water retention and the body processing, and will soon be off, im sure
noah sorry about the missing pedometer, bummer. I chose a fit bit one as it clips to my bra, otherwise I would have lost it by now
Bea i always put on around 4lb after the weekend but usually lose it within a couple of good days so fear not!
Irishe i have visions on you counting up our losses while gently falling into a slumber...the new counting sheep perhaps?! Fantastic losses btw! I think i might give a weekly 900cal day a go.
imust youre doing great...and will continue to do so when thinking through your eating/emotions and learning to say no! From my point of view, ive learnt to say no to office treats and ignore cakes in the kitchen emails by thinking just because theyre free, doesnt mean i should eat one or four
psycho ive had a similar weekend...too much baking with the dcs! I did work hard at the gym though, but no running for me (big boobs)
Stealth Hi! Sorry about the ankle, hope it feels better soon...mmmm....teacakes

Tryingno1 · 19/10/2015 20:56

Yeah I've def motivated by u all! I wanted to eat a box of biccies tonight but I logged on and say everyone's weight loss and felt left out haha!
Keep going girls!

Emz449 · 19/10/2015 21:00

Irishe 3 stone is brilliant, you must be so happy!

I made butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot and onion soup, its made 18 portions for 2.50! I think i'll be making it until i go on holiday Grin can't believe how much you get for it. Also today was the first meat free day i've had in, well, potentially years!

Emz449 · 19/10/2015 21:01

Trying i hope the scales are good to you tomorrow, fingers crossed

Emz449 · 19/10/2015 21:03

Oh I had my jabs today and my arms bloody hurt! diphtheria, typhoid, polio, hep a and tetanus, should be all sorted Grin

OP posts:
irishe · 19/10/2015 21:58

emz ouch! That's quite a cocktail. A necessary precaution of course. Hope your arms are not sore for long, and there are no other side effects. I will be seriously happy when I clear the 3 stone mark. 2 pounds to go! Your massive soup making efforts are reminding me of how much money I am wasting on buying cartons of soup. And let's not mention the sodium levels ..

mrsdlh thank you! Be interesting to hear how you get on with a 900 cal day. I actually found it quite easy . . .strangely! The week before which was TOM I was so so hungry I could have gnawed my arm off on 1280! Would not have been able to do it last week.

JontyDoggle37 · 20/10/2015 06:43

Morning all, another half a pound down today. Seems like I'm a Mobday/Tuesday Woosher...same happened last week but then no loss for the rest of the week, so I need to figure that one out a bit or I'm not going to hit goal by Christmas...

Bathsheba3 · 20/10/2015 09:14

I went to see my BF in Dublin MrsDLH, just overnight, but was amazing to catch up with her. So many of my friends have dispersed, and I so miss seeing them for a natter.

I won't be weighing this week though ...Blush. I think I'm in your camp BeaBoo. Partly the weekend, partly I still have workmen in my kitchen ALL DAY, and partly I just need to get myself motivated again. As soon as I get my house back to myself I'm going to get souping too. Sounds amazing Emz. Not the sound of your injections though.

Jonty - well done to you too! Bet you are buzzing around, and so you should.
Irishe - 3 st is amazing too. Keep going!

Have a great day all. Just realised clocks go back sunday. YES. Finally get some extra sleep!

MrsDLH · 20/10/2015 09:21

Morning all!
jonty you're shrinking by the day!
I am aiming to see 11st 2 on the scales at the end of the week. Had a bit of a rubbish weekend, Saturday is a refeed day formerly known as a day off and calorie wise wasn't as bad as most weeks because I didn't have a takeaway/meal out but still came in at around 1800cals. Sunday is usually a low day but was a bit higher as had cake and custard Blush homemade cake, had an entire tub of golden syrup in! Although I had a modest size piece and it's bloody huge. I came within my allowance but used my step calorie adjustment. Yesterday, I also used my step calories... Hate myself...I had a ww yoghurt about 10am then due to doing a consultation on one of our estates, didn't eat again until 3.30pm and was starving so troughed a big bag of crisps instead of proper food. The shame.
Today will be better. I have yoghurt, a plum and soup at work, fish pie for tea. That's 591 cals so going to try and stick to 900 cals. How do you log the day on mfp? Add 100 fake cals because it won't let you log under 1000?

MrsDLH · 20/10/2015 09:24

Cross post Bath sounds lovely! I'd like to go to Dublin, dh has been but I've never been to Ireland.

Yes I'd imagine not having a proper functioning kitchen would not help with a healthy eating plan!
