I had a family party too. I avoided the cake but scoffed a few crisps and mini sausages. And had quite a hefty dinner. It's been quite a bad weekend all in all. Never mind folks, we can all get back on track tomorrow.

irishe · 04/10/2015 21:22

Yes there seems to be a few of us, who have fallen off the diet path this weekend!

Well emz focus on the good prep and meal planning you have done today. That was a really good use if your time.

Yes majestic tomorrow we all start from scratch again!

Tryingno1 · 04/10/2015 21:43

I suppose weekends r for unwinding a bit!
Let's all be super duper good tmrw!
My day is looking like
Fruit
Boiled eggs and spinach
Seabass and broccoli
Latte for when I'm about to go mad with hunger
Coming in at 800 cals. I like to be healthy not just calorie restrict and I can't help feel very low cals not v good. But surely if Just for 2/3 days it's ok?!
Good luck to u all tmrw!

Emz449 · 04/10/2015 21:43

I'm glad I'm not the only one this weekend! Yeah the meal planning was a good idea, takes the hassle out having to do things after work

I rang the hotel Blush they have scales in all the rooms Grin
They must think I am nuts!
Anyway, DH gave a big long speech last night about he is going to eat carefully on this holiday so hopefully I will not have to sit and watch him scoffing dessert all the time.

JontyDoggle37 · 05/10/2015 07:29

IMust I did chuckle a bit at you phoning the hotel but wish I'd taken my own scales with me when we went away in the motorhome. I hope you videoed your DH's speech so you can play it back to him in moments of weakness!
11st 3.5 today, so 0.75lb down and I also remembered to do my body measurements for the first time since 16 Aug and I've lost 3.75 inches in total since then. Goal to hit by next Minday is 2.5lb loss. Off out for a run in a minute to kick start my week, all meals are planned and there's no going out on the cards so that will all help. I, like many others, did not have a very wagony weekend though, so I'm hoping that doesn't catch up with me!

Tryingno1 · 05/10/2015 08:16

Good work jonty

I wanted to ask about the scales too but though it was a bit ott!! Haha!

Right today I will stick to my mfp plan!

willbeslimagain · 05/10/2015 08:39

New day today everyone :)

Haha I don't trust other scales, just in case they say something different!! Good dedication though

Well done on the inches Jonty, i think thats a good thing to measure

Finally a lb down this morning to 9 1.6lb, must get back in the 8s this month after last months screw up! Got my ds cold though so feeling crap too, chicken soup all round!

Let's all have a good on plan day!

willbeslimagain · 05/10/2015 08:44

Ps Emz, I did sign up to the body coach too (saw you asked on another thread). It's a good plan but I just didn't want to spend my Sunday prepping in the kitchen and I also can't give up my treats! Ended up feeling like a failure as I couldn't stick to it! MFP is the best thing for me as no restrictions on what or when you can eat, so can go out for a meal, have a treat etc but still be on track

irishe · 05/10/2015 09:58

Morning all.

Great inch loss jonty . I wish I had taken my measurements at the start. Still never too late.

imust good job, now you know!
will how fantastic to be so near the 8's.

Well weighed in this morning and have lost 1.5lbs since last Monday. So quite pleased with that especially considering donut gate yesterday! Don't regret them though, they were delicicious! If I had put on or stayed the same I would be cursing them though, ha!

Yes back on track with everyone else today.

Good luck all

psychotropic · 05/10/2015 10:03

Morning everyone! My weight has stayed the same, exactly 10.5 stone. A week is possibly not long enough to tell but if I could stick to the amount mfp suggests I think I should start losing weight. It was hard over the weekend though because I was constantly eating things with no way of measuring them like sharing bowls of crisps and dips and nuts with lots of other people. It felt quite pointless guessing the quantities later when I filled in mfp but at least it gives me a rough idea?

Purpleknickers · 05/10/2015 10:07

Morning all and well done to all those that lost

Good luck with the new week, my food to wine ratio was not good yesterday managed to stay within my calories but it was mostly wine not food and I feel a bit yuk today , will I ever learn?!

Managed a 1lb loss when I weighed yesterday which I was pleased with but realised that I cannot count and although I thought I was 11st 4.9lb last week, I was actully 11st 5.9lb so feeling a bit daft and realise that I am not going to make 11st 3lb before I go on holiday on Friday Sad they have a gym there and probably scales but no way am I weighing on different scales if they make me weigh more it will totally ruin my holiday

irishe · 05/10/2015 10:23

purple I had more donut calories than "real food" calories yesterday, you are not alone!

psycho it is hard with that type of sharing nibbles type food. Hard to cal count accurately. I am beginning to think there is a message in that somewhere. If I can't count it, maybe I shouldn't eat it? Don't mean full meals at friends/restaurants which are part of normal life, but those xtras like crisps, sweets, chocs in the office, everywhere! Those nibbles can really add up for me on some days. Something else for me to mull over.

irishe · 05/10/2015 10:34

So many posters going on holiday soon, purple, trying, imust. Did I miss anyone? I am jealous, can you tell?
I have 5 weeks till we go to center Parcs. Want to drop 6 pounds by then, putting me at 3 stone for the year.

I predict lots of urge surfing!

Tryingno1 · 05/10/2015 10:47

Well done to all who have lost!
I know wot u mean about diff scales purple.
I'm planning on weighing on sat am and going with what they say for the 4 days I'm in that hotel (I then move to another town and hotel). It will prob say I weigh something different but while I'm there I should stay at their weight! The weather is crap for while I'm in Italy! So I won't want ice creams and wine by the poolside. Gym for me!

psychotropic · 05/10/2015 11:09

Oh god I didn't even think about logging wine over the weekend Shock

IMustEatMoreVeg · 05/10/2015 13:21

Purple - I know the hotel scales might well say a different weight to my home ones. In a sense I don't really care about the absolute number, I just want to monitor it to make sure it stays the same or ideally goes down.

Well I am here on holiday now and the hotel looks lovely. There are indeed some bathroom scales in here. I will need to get my magnifying glass out though to read the teeny numbers!

DH ate EVERYTHING that was offered on the plane GrinShock so I will have to see how his 'careful eating' plan goes Grin
I was measured and had half the portions, no bread, no wine, no dessert.

irishe · 05/10/2015 13:34

imust well done on your restraint on the plane, a good start to your holiday.

Enjoy!

Tryingno1 · 05/10/2015 13:40

Enjoy ur holiday I must eat! Yep exactly what I plan to use the scales for too.
Make sure u have one or 2 treats and work harder in pool or gym! It's a holiday after all!
I'm having a very non hungry day which is great. I ate slowly and told myself how yummy my salad was as I ate it (it was below average!)

MrsDLH · 05/10/2015 14:21

Hi ladies! So many posts! Well done to everyone who lost and good luck for this week - I'll have some of those whooshes please.

Well unsurprisingly, I was back to 11st 8 after Saturday's excesses but this isn't unusual...I'm hoping it's mostly Chinese takeaway bloat...takes me a good few days to get rid of the water weight. If I can end the week less than 11st 5 that will be a success. What I really want is to get back to below 11st 3 so I can start recording my losses on mfp again!

I have no more holidays booked for this year so very envious! We are spending Christmas at my brother and his wife in Great Yarmouth so that's something to look forward to...please let me be 10st something by then.

I must admit, I've never even contemplated weighing myself on holiday but always put on some weight so maybe I should!

IMustEatMoreVeg · 05/10/2015 14:36

I don't often put on weight on holiday as I don't tend to go mad. My weight gains are always from secret binge eating, which I don't get the opportunity to do when I am away. However, for me, much of the 'being in the zone' to eat carefully is associated with routinely weighing myself every morning so it would be a shame to break that habit.

psychotropic · 05/10/2015 14:47

I found a cute (for cute read pink baby animals lol) app for those who like to record the ups and downs of their weight day by day, it's called Casual Dieting and also has a diary for writing about whatever and you can include body fat % if you know it. Might just be for android though.

Tryingno1 · 05/10/2015 18:22

I'm on 900 and shall not eat anything else!

Tryingno1 · 05/10/2015 18:23

Ps I musteat- u sound v v similar to me! The regular weighing, careful eating, and binges.

Emz449 · 05/10/2015 18:56

Hello all, lots of posts to catch up on, congrats to all those that lost Star

Obviously i won't be posing a weigh in until saturday morning Shock perhaps the longest time i have gone without weighing myself actually?! It's a good thing though, stops me from obsessing.

Good day though diet wise, a few cakes etc in the office and i did have a mr kipling slice thing but all still within my calories and it was great Grin The rest of the day was low carb and all within plan so happy days!

Hope everyone else has had a good day Smile
