I'm going to aim for 870, 2 poached eggs on toast and then soup for lunch and dinner, will see how it goes! For me it definitely makes more sense for me to do it at a weekend. Hopefully i don't chew my arm off Grin but more importantly it makes the scales shift! I may just sleep until 2pm, it'll make it a lot more easier!

I LOVE breakfast at hotels, I would try and eat big at breakfast and then try and not eat until dinner, maybe having a small snack if i need to

Me and DD are just making a Nutella cake and I am definitely going to eat a slice. MFP is out of the window for today Grin

Emz449 · 03/10/2015 15:28

Emz it's probably water retention from salt yesterday, try eating asparagus/celery tonight and it will go, my weight is up and down a few pounds everyday too and really getting to me as been trying so hard the last few days too.

willbeslimagain · 03/10/2015 15:35

Ps Nutella cake sounds heavenly!! I've got an M&S count on us double choc mousse as my treat today instead!

JontyDoggle37 · 03/10/2015 15:38

Not2b I'm on 1380 Cals per day, as I am very active so set my MFP to medium active - on 1200 Cals I feel ill and I can definitely still lose well on 1200.
Emz subway= bread and salt, double water retention whammy. And if you feel blocked up too, I'd suggest a large serving of blueberries and a couple of bread free days will do the trick.

JontyDoggle37 · 03/10/2015 15:39

I meant still lose well on 1380!

Emz449 · 03/10/2015 16:04

oh i hadn't thought of the salt aspect of it tbh, my work colleagues are buggers for suggesting subway as the friday lunch, i think in future i'll stick to my packed lunch!

Weight fluctuations are weird, I was 147 before breakfast this morning now I'm 143.2 (admittedly after a run but when I finished I had 750ml water and two prepacked sandwiches!). Do you all record your weight on mfp each morning?

Emz449 · 03/10/2015 16:27

I do psycho... only if its a loss though!

irishe · 03/10/2015 17:10

I weigh myself most days but I only update my weight on mfp on a Monday. That's the one that counts for me.

MrsDLH · 03/10/2015 18:16

Hello! Was 11st 5 this morning but ive eaten loads today and having a chinese later Shock I won't record any losses on mfp until I get below 11st 3 again...I refuse to add gains! Did a sponsored walk earlier today so clocked up almost 16000 steps, better than nothing!

Emz how frustrating for you. Our bodies are weird and im still predicting a sudden drop for you. I have to say, im jealous of your lie ins! Havent had a proper one since 2008...my kids are good sleepers but still up 8 at the latest!

Mmmmm nutella cake... Cake

MajesticWhine · 03/10/2015 18:44

The nutella cake Cake was nice, although maybe not worth it for the humongous number of calories. The rest of the family want to order a pizza tonight, so today is not looking good. And there's a family party tomorrow - nightmare. Going to try and get a run in tomorrow morning.

Emz449 · 03/10/2015 18:59

I can't survive without my sleep MrsDlh,'I have to have 8 hours a night without fail otherwise I'm horrendous the next day!

Emz449 · 03/10/2015 19:04

I'm also very jealous of your Chinese and pizza both, my swede chips and gammon weren't quite the same!

OP posts:
Emz449 · 04/10/2015 12:30

Still 11 here this morning. Pfft, I'm sure it'll drop soon but waiting for it is frustrating. I probably won't celebrate being 10 st something again unless it's below 13!

Well scales were all over the place this morning, finally settled 3/4 pounds down which is not to be trusted quite frankly!

emz feel the invisible network of support from the mfp thread, willing you downwards!

Been a strange week diet wise. I have been under cals all but one day but no moves on the scales, then a slight wobble downwards this morning. I have a family party later today, where there will be loads of food and cake which will be challenging for me. Just need to think, what do I want more? A healthy weight or that huge piece of cake?

Answers on a postcard please . . . !

IMustEatMoreVeg · 04/10/2015 13:07

Just keep on keeping on Emz. It will go. The low carb threads talk about whooshes - staying the same weight for ages and then there is a big loss all in one go. You will be due a nice big whoosh!

Tryingno1 · 04/10/2015 13:11

I just ate a biscuit
And want ten more!!! How to stop myself?!
Sorry no weight loss but the woosh does exist! Keep going and hopefully it will move in a few days
I'm aiming to get to 10 13 before Friday-that's 2 pounds off? Is that doable I wonder...

irishe · 04/10/2015 13:39

trying the only way I can stop, is to throw them in the bin! How bad is that. Or give them to DH who wolfs them down in a nano second.

I like the idea of a whoosh! Can we order a round of whooshes for everyone, on me!

Tryingno1 · 04/10/2015 17:47

Well I had one
Went for a walk
Then had 5!!! And a pack of crisps
Am so mad!
Will do 900 now till Italy (4 days)! Punishment!

Emz449 · 04/10/2015 17:51

Trying I am having one of those days. Actually a lot worse then yours but i won't go into details. Quite ashamed and annoyed at myself. Tomorrow is a new day and week to start afresh and I'm going to carry on as I have been and hope that there will be a loss on the scales on Saturday. I'm giving them to my friend to hold onto until Saturday morning so that i can't get on them and peek. I think it's for the best for my mind and body to not have scales right now. Not seeing them move is driving me crazy

Tryingno1 · 04/10/2015 17:54

Sorry emz! Oh I also had a solero! (If it makes u feel any better).
Anyways ur right, tmrw is a new day. I've put my 900 into mfp and maybe instead of it saying 1013 before I fly it might say 11!

irishe · 04/10/2015 20:51

Well the family party was good but I was not, predictably!

I ate 2 Krispy Kreme glazed donuts and one caramel cream one, plus a piece of birthday cake at an unknown amount of calories. I have counted it as 1050. The donuts are correctly counted as they are on mfp. I am guessing 250 cals for slice of birthday cake.

The only reason I am not pulling my hair out is that I only ate 285 cals before the party, putting me over but not disastrously so.

Well emz & trying you are right. Clean slate for tomorrow!

Emz449 · 04/10/2015 20:59

That's not too bad at all irishe, at least you hadnt eaten a lot beforehand. The donuts sound amazing. Today has been absolutely terrible for me, but i am drawing a line and have done some food prep for this week. Made all lunches for work and 3 dinners and have the others planned so hopefully will be a good week. The only blip on the horizon is saturday. My friend is coming to visit from kent so i will be drinking and going out for dinner, can't be helped i guess! At least it's expected and only one day so doesn't have to be that bad and i do want to enjoy myself Smile

Next sunday will be meal prep day. I'll be making soup for work, sick to the teeth of the salad i've been making!
