September 1st... Pounds and inches... Back on it, who is in??

MissFitt68 · 31/08/2015 22:56

That's it now, the fun is over! I'm not feeling or looking my best. I've slipped up and fallen off the healthy wagon

So I'm jumping back on!!

Tomorrow morning I will restart the eating ( low carb I think) and will take my measurements ( for when the pounds dont budge, the inches usually will)

30 minutes minimum exercise daily.... Yes, let's MAKE time. It's an episode of emmerdale/eastenders

Weigh in and measuring on Saturday mornings

Done this before, lost 5 stone.... Put 2 back on. It's NOT staying!

Anyone want to join in? Have had these monthly threads in the past and had some great success

Not touched the biscuit tin! Did Pilates last night but also had my hungriest day yet. I resisted snacking in the evening but did have a square of dark chocolate.

Well done on 12lbs off. I am at 8lbs off so you are motivating me to keep going.

patterkiller · 17/09/2015 13:32

Well done on all the loses. Just started again last week after a few weeks of my back giving up..again.

First weigh in tomorrow. I'm back on 5:2 and upping the exercise. It's always a slow slog for me so not expecting too much. 9st 11 last week, hoping for 8st 11 by Christmas.
I will report back in the morning. Eek.

MissFitt68 · 17/09/2015 17:55

Good luck with the weigh in patter

Still plodding along but oh so bored with my limited menu

Not turned to biscuit tin but not lost the extra lb from the weekend. Defo could try harder to be fair so can't be too annoyed! Just so so busy this week I've found myself picking / grabbing stuff in the go.

Going to have a really good meal plan and really stick to it next week.
Not going mad by any means this week but don't think I'll loose.

patterkiller · 18/09/2015 07:23

3lb off this morning. Pretty pleased with that. I'm very much a weekend picker too lastqueen I'm planning the weekends meals to help keep me focused. And hopefully do a bit of cycling if the weathers good.

lastqueenofscotland · 19/09/2015 08:45

Down another lb! Thought I would just about manage to get last weekends extra one off this week but nope. One more! Delighted seeing as I haven't been as good as I could have been.

MissFitt68 · 19/09/2015 19:29

I'm scared to get on the scales after a Friday night blip of pizza wine crisps and pudding!

Will do it in the morning tho! Just did a tiny lidl top up shop for next 2 days at work. My days off next week will be lots of housework (3 storey townhouse) and hoping to fit in one BOOTCAMP and 3 runs. Maybe a session on my cross trainer as well. And walking to/from school. Need to drop down to the next stone to keep me motivated

Me too MissFitt. I am tantalisingly close to seeing the stone down but just can't quite seem to tip the balance. I had wine on THurs, Fri and Sat. Not Good. I have been eating well and very low carb but not sure if it'll be enough to offset wine and lack of exercise.

Will weigh tomorrow.

ShutUpLegs · 21/09/2015 10:38

Gah. 1lb on. That is because I did No Exercise last week.

Must. Focus.

lastqueenofscotland · 26/09/2015 08:17

Who's still here? Stayed the same this week but drunk a lot of calories so really can't complain. Refocus and move forwards

grumpygertie · 26/09/2015 08:51

Hi I am still here, not posted in a while as my little man has been off colour. Last time I posted I was due a follow up appointment with Dr about some problems I have been having with my feet.

I mentioned I was struggling to get in right frame of mind to diet but was aware my weight may not be helping the feet issue. She asked me to pop on scales and she was shocked I weigh so much - I don't know why as when I look in a mirror I look round!! Anyway due to my BMI I qualified for orlistat (weight loss tablets).

It's taken everything right out of my control, I can't eat fat or basically I shit myself Blush On day 11 today and I feel fab, lost 3lb for my first weigh in and I have lost any enthusiasm for junk food. I am allowed the occasional day off for special occasions where I don't take the tablet but Dr has to weigh me every month before I can get the next prescription so there won't be very many 'off' days. I have to lose a set amount at each Dr weigh in to be allowed to carry on. I am now down in the next stone bracket too which is highly motivating.

My next weigh in at home is Tuesday so I will report back on my weight loss for the month.

Are we carrying on the thread for October? Promise to check in a bit more if so!

ShutUpLegs · 26/09/2015 18:15

I am still here but had a mahoosive nght on booze at a works conference last nght. THink I'll be lucky to stay the same on MOnday.

ANd I am away with work all next week - I am going to have to be very focused.

MissFitt68 · 26/09/2015 19:24

Next week is our last chance for a September loss!!

Final push for me. Losing still very very slowly. 13 pounds this month. I'm low carbing so encouraged to eat fat, which is very filling. Crisps and wine are my downfall

OP posts:
Error404usernamenotfound · 26/09/2015 19:35

I am still here, although my September has been a bit crap; 2 family illnesses plus a DH recovering from surgery plus preparing for new term (I'm a student) have led me off the path of dietary righteousness a little... Also, I have had near-zero access to mn in the last couple of weeks as it has crashed the ipad every time I visit. hmph! All better now, and i have a sparkly new laptop so can mn to my heart's content Grin

I will weight myself tomorrow morning assuming I remember, and post the horror here for you to commiserate/finger-wag at will Blush

BIWI · 26/09/2015 19:39

MissFitt

13lbs in a month really isn't slow loss!!! That's a brilliant rate. The usual rate of long-term (and sustainable) weight loss is around 1-2lbs a week, which would mean 4-8lbs a month.

MissFitt68 · 26/09/2015 19:43

Most of it was in the first week... Water?

I lost 5 stone with you biwi! You are a legend! I didn't post much on your fast moving threads but lurked and learned. Very impressed with this WOE!

MissFitt68 · 26/09/2015 19:44

Glad things are getting back on track error

BIWI · 26/09/2015 19:53

I'm a leg end! Hurrah! Grin

psychotropic · 26/09/2015 20:09

Does this thread continue into October? I could stand to lose 7-10lbs and want to join a thread for encouragement. My plan is 1800 calories a day (3 meals 3 snacks) which should yield 0.5 lbs a week loss according to losertown and MFP.

lastqueenofscotland · 26/09/2015 22:07

Just realised I've lost half a stone in sept! Not bad :)

MissFitt68 · 27/09/2015 14:24

Yes I'll be carrying on til Xmas I think! Then re starting in jan big time no doubt

queen that's great news!!!

OP posts:
Error404usernamenotfound · 27/09/2015 15:00

So glad this thread is continuing! I am happy to report that, despite too much comfort eating, booze, and general laziness, I have somehow managed to lose 4lb over September Grin

MissFitt68 · 28/09/2015 07:18

That's great news!

I had a bad day yesterday. Bad day at work. And ended up eating kids leftovers. Being extra cautious til weds, last day of the month and will be my sept final weigh in. Hoping for a full stone loss.

It's also payday. So will be a non food treat if I'm a stone down!

October.... Think I'll aim for 7-9 pounds loss. That should bring me down a dress size

OP posts:
BorisJohnsonsHair · 28/09/2015 19:36

Hope everyone's doing well. Just signing in, and have lost 6lbs in just over 3 weeks so very pleased with my calorie counting/walking diet!

Error404usernamenotfound · 01/10/2015 09:27

Bumpety Bump!

How is everyone doing? I have been reasonably good this week, apart from yesterday when it felt like only eating my own body weight in sugar would get me through the day Blush

Today I actually managed to pack a healthy lunch for a change; sweet potato salad, crispbreads, and an apple. Now to avoid the vending machines...
