September 1st... Pounds and inches... Back on it, who is in??

MissFitt68 · 31/08/2015 22:56

That's it now, the fun is over! I'm not feeling or looking my best. I've slipped up and fallen off the healthy wagon

So I'm jumping back on!!

Tomorrow morning I will restart the eating ( low carb I think) and will take my measurements ( for when the pounds dont budge, the inches usually will)

30 minutes minimum exercise daily.... Yes, let's MAKE time. It's an episode of emmerdale/eastenders

Weigh in and measuring on Saturday mornings

Done this before, lost 5 stone.... Put 2 back on. It's NOT staying!

Anyone want to join in? Have had these monthly threads in the past and had some great success

Hi
Please can I be a late joiner?
I was supposed to start yesterday, but it's looking like a start tomorrow now Smile
I'm 5'7 and 11st 6! 11st is my initial goal as that's what I've put on over the summer! And 10st 8 as a final goal.
I kind of 5:2 and kind of calorie count.
My main weakness is a liking for a glass of wine Grin

WeAreEternal · 02/09/2015 16:34

I've had a good day today.

I had scrambled tofu for breakfast with lemon water.
For lunch I had an apple with peanut butter (I was very busy so only had time for a quick lunch)

I've drank a lot of water but nothing else, and no snacking.

I'm going to do spicy cauliflower rice for dinner.

I'm going to try and to some exercise later too.

MicronesiaIsMyHome · 02/09/2015 21:08

Hi,
Had a pretty good day today foodwise. Only had my meals, also been to work but no proper exercise and the weather is awful here so I am not taking the dogs out tonight.
I've added a couple of posters on mfp. If anyone wants to add me I'm Heatherdrinkstea on mfp.

Tomorrow I am going for my weight in with the dietician and I think (am hoping) that I've remained the same weight over the summer.

ELR · 02/09/2015 21:55

Had a bad day today! Had to make churros this evening, got a baby shower tomorrow night and am making them for everyone. I needed to check I could make them gluten free, maybe I shouldn't of bothered then I wouldn't of been able to eat them! And I've eaten most of the chocolate dip so now got a headache! Why do I never learn......

ELR · 02/09/2015 22:10

Ive decided I am going to lose 10lb by 10 December! That's 100 days to do it, I will get weighed every 10 days and will hopefully lose 1lb every time!

busyboysmum · 02/09/2015 23:01

Hi. Please can I join too. Weighed in this morning at 73kg which is 11 stone 6lb I think. I'm 5 foot 7 and would ideally like to lose a stone. I'm logging on mfp so if anyone would like to friend me on there for some motivation that would be great. Also tracking steps on my fitbit so again would like friends on there for challenges. I have a treadmill in our utility room so am planning on walking 40 minutes a night and seeing where that goes. Maybe trying to build up to some running.

busyboysmum · 02/09/2015 23:03

Food wise I have mushroom omelette for breakfast and pasta with tomato sauce and olives for lunch. Tea was a reduced higgledy spinach and feta pie which I foolishly didn't check the calories on. But as I did 40 minutes on the treadmill it ended up a good day.

CharleyDavidson · 02/09/2015 23:31

I'm in, please.

Due to bad habits, a love of baking and a sweet tooth and a hip problem that reduced my mobility, I'm 3 stone up on where I'd like to be.

My hip has been operated on and I'm back on my feet. The school holidays were lovely and I've had a great time with my girls, but there were too many lovely meals too and I'm looking forward to getting back into my healthy routine.

I'm 14 stone and need to get at least 2 of that off to be where I normally hover around, and 3 off to be a healthy BMI.

My goals...

  • Count my cals to keep track of what I'm eating. (Nutracheck member already)
  • Up my steps in general. I wear a fitbit every day to keep track of that.
  • Also, go to my zumba class every Wed eve as well as some other exercise class on my day off to build up strength in my hip as well as to be more active in general
  • No snacking apart from one, small, counted snack in the evening when the girls go to bed. (I do this already)
  • meal plan to know what I'm eating and to prevent me just grabbing something.

I want to see how well I can do between now and Christmas. There are some meals out that might intefere, but I shall plan for them.

MissFitt68 · 03/09/2015 17:07

Another fairly good day!

Quite tired tho. Low carbing tends to leave me a bit lacking in energy. How's everyone doing?

ShutUpLegs · 03/09/2015 17:28

I am cold! TO add to the party, I am 5:2 as well and have not eaten since supper last night.

I forget how cold I get on fasting days. Looking forward to supper!

Eating-wise I am doing well but haven't exercised at all. Will go for a bike ride at the weekend and try some low-level SHred. I have a recovering back so I am trying not to go all out on aero stuff or else I'll knacker what little mobility I have!

Tottyandmarchpane1 · 03/09/2015 18:12

A late joiner - hope you don't mind! I need to lose 4 stone. 2 stone which I never lost after first 2 children and a horrifying 2 which crept on whilst pregnant with my last! Started MFP last week and would love the support (Kittyk112 if anyone would like to add me!).

MegBusset · 03/09/2015 18:51

I have my period atm which means a couple of lbs weight gain no matter what, grr.

lilacclery · 03/09/2015 20:56

Struck down with a miserable health cold have still eaten healthily but a lot more food than I've gotten used to in my one week on mfp, probably a normal day before!
Kittyk I'll add you heather have added you, don't know how you have the willpower to have honey on your toast & not eat loads of sweet stuff after!

grumpygertie · 03/09/2015 22:29

Pah giving up on WW, I have a really good day then a really rubbish day so decided to cancel my online subscription and have another go at 5:2. First fast day is penned in tomorrow. Need to look at my diet as a whole, WW allows me to still eat rubbish as long as you count it but I want to eat better overall. So looking at introducing more meals from scratch and the usual more fruit and veg (which will benefit the whole family as we all eat far too much crap anyway!!).

Did a good interval training class last night. I didn't want to go but needed to get out of the house as had been stuck at home all day with the kids. Glad I went as the class was fab and I have felt it today.

Been out in the great outdoors today so lots of fresh air which makes me more determined to get fit and healthy again.

Need to try check in on the thread more in hope to keep me motivated!

CheckpointCharlie · 05/09/2015 09:06

Hello all, a 4lb loss this morning! Have eaten NO cakes at work, I almost did and then went for a few breadsticks instead and MFP 'd them straight away!

It's portion size that we have to curb, and things like grated cheese on top of things or a nifty cheese sandwich with a glass of wine at 10pm etc.

How is everyone this morning?

ELR · 05/09/2015 15:47

Morning all, well done check I reckon those 4lbs have winged there way over to me! I've probably had one of the worst eating weeks of the year, do t k ow what's wrong with he but I've just been stuffing my date for no apparent reason. Going to chalk it up to something unknown and start afresh on Monday!

ELR · 05/09/2015 15:48

Clearly I can't spell either!

grumpygertie · 05/09/2015 15:54

ELR I am with you for a fresh start on Monday - just can't get my head round things right now and feeling very confused about what plan to follow, WW or 5:2. I just need to lose this weight but can't stop blooming eating Blush

MissFitt68 · 05/09/2015 18:03

Hello everyone! I've had such a busy week at work! I cheated and weighed myself this morning instead of waiting til Tuesday. OMG!!! I'm down to 93.1!! From 95.6 kg! So what's that? A pound a day just over!

I'm in ketosis ( I'm doing low carb) I use ketostix to see how I'm doing. It's not exact but gives an idea.

It's sat night and we usually have 'stuff' but going to need to stay strong

lastqueenofscotland · 06/09/2015 13:02

Gone from 10.1 to 9.11 this week!! Was not expecting that!! Very motivating actually. Less tempted by our usual Sunday fare.

MissFitt68 · 06/09/2015 14:14

I'm at work all day rushed off my feet, just on lunch. I have salami, mozzarella, cucumber and some leftover veggies from yesterday. Coffee with cream. Had deli beef for breakfast. Low carbing menu options are odd!

Tomorrow after school run I'm going to run for half an hour ish, so that will be 3 miles, then do a bootcamp class.

Need to do measurements again as lost originals.

MissFitt68 · 06/09/2015 20:46

Everyone still with me?

OP posts:
Error404usernamenotfound · 06/09/2015 21:04

May I join as a late starter please?

5'3", about 9 stone 13lb (will weigh myself in the morning for an accurate figure) and generally flabby, podgy and feeling a bit lethargic. Looking to lose around 1 to 1 1/2 stone, but more importantly a fair few inches. Smile

I do really badly on structured diets so have my own rules, most importantly around restricting sugary treats, alcohol, and portion sizes. They have worked before, but then I had DD...

busyboysmum · 06/09/2015 22:04

Hi. I'm not sure how I'm doing as I've got my period. However I have still done 40 minutes on my treadmill mainly walking but a bit of running. It's early days and I had two months of agony with tendonitis in both ankles at the start of the year which scuppered my new years resolution. So I am really cautious about doing that again. I'll weigh in on Wednesday and see how this week has gone.

wizzler · 06/09/2015 22:11

Can I join in ? I have been doing WW for a fair old time. Lost 2 stone in first 6 months but keep overindulging... didnt even go for weigh in or meetings for the last month, so only my bank balance is lighter!
Anyway.. am back in the zone, hoping to keep control of foods and do more exercise... am trying cardio tennis for the first time this week... its going to hurt, isn't it?
Would love to lost a stone by christmas, but being able to fasten my trousers would be a good start!
