Hi everyone, can I join in please? I've lost about 3 stone over the past 2 years, but have slipped up big time lately. I can't get back into it. I've looked at some different VLCD's and have ordered a sample pack (I think it's called) from Slim & Save. I have 12 weeks until I go on holiday, and about 5 stones to lose to target. Would love between 1-2 stones off by the time I go away. Fingers crossed!

zeis10 · 14/06/2015 17:11

Well done everyone! I have lost another lb, so very pleased, coming to the end of week 3 and a loss of 13lbs so far.

Hello to WisteriaRose, of course you can join us! Have you done a VLCD before? Seems most common to lose about a stone a month, so if it turns out to be the right thing for you, you should have at least 2 stone off easily before your holiday.

Firsttimer7259 if you are in the first week, you may find your bladder gets stronger, mine certainly has! Smile

Hi, hope everyone's getting on alright. First weigh in today and 10lbs down Smile Woohoo! Only another 70lb to go...

Have been tasked with cooking my partner's packed lunches this evening, and am going to have to exercise some serious self control to not eat the halloumi!

twinkle183 · 15/06/2015 04:50

Nearly finished my third night shift and was going to weigh in today but think I'll do it tomorrow as I get really bloated on night shifts... Fingers crossed it's a good weighin! Also going back to the gym as of tomorrow... Now that the diet is under control!!

Well done to everyone that has lost awesome work!! Hoping to be able to post a loss tomorrow! XxxxSmile

WisteriaRose · 15/06/2015 06:42

No, this will be my first VLCD attempt- I'm nervous haha. Wow, I'd love to lose a stone in a month! It takes me months to lose a stone usually!

Well done everyone on your fab losses btw!

preciousbeing · 15/06/2015 08:49

WisteriaRose I know! I have never lost a stone in a month before and I have lost almost a stone in my 1st 3 weeks! You can do this!! Grin

Firsttimer7259 · 15/06/2015 10:35

Ooo down almost 1.5 kgs in a week! Pleased

Firsttimer7259 · 15/06/2015 10:36

First Cambridge diet consultation today - feeling curious about the whole thing. I know I can lose weoight short term on my own, just need someone to keep me on track and I really want to consolidate and maintain after..

zeis10 · 15/06/2015 17:38

Hello to all! I am really hungry today and yesterday also Hmm Had a pretty full on weekend, with visitors and I tired myself out, so am exhausted today, maybe that is why. There is that feeling of wanting to eat some energising foods. So looking forward to eating some nice meals, but I plough on for now. Smile

Lilolil91 · 15/06/2015 17:56

zeis10, I'm definitely with you on the hunger thing. Feeling a bit run down today - a bit flu-y, which is making me want to eat, but I'm hanging in there! I've got to ask, though, is anyone else suffering from the VLCD mouth taste? I can't seem to get rid of it Confused

twinkle183 · 15/06/2015 18:39

Am so looking forward to weigh in tomorrow!! Fingers crossed it's a loss! I might even have a cheeky unofficial weigh in at the gym.... Blush

I get that awful taste in my mouth... It comes from the ketosis!! I use sugar free breathe spray from boots... It's works a treat!! Wink

helenahandbag · 16/06/2015 09:31

Morning all, I've had a baaaaad week Blush I managed one full Exante day yesterday though, my first in ages without succumbing to chips/toast/chocolate as soon as I get home. I keep trying to get back on it and failing by 6pm so I feel great even just having one day under my belt.

There are 75 days until I go on holiday so I printed off a chart with 76 (including yesterday) boxes and I'm going to tick them off as I go. I think seeing the visual representation will make it easier to stick to the diet as I won't want to ruin all my nice ticks Grin

twinkle183 · 16/06/2015 10:51

Yay... I have lost!!!! Oh yes 3lbs.... Am so chuffed!!! So I am down 7lbs now.... It's slow this low carbing I don't feel I am missing out and feel that it's sustainable! My fav treat which gets me over my chocolate cravings is coffee with cream! Yum

Well done ladies xxxx keep going xxx

Firsttimer7259 · 16/06/2015 11:35

Keep going to the hungry crew - I hope you are feeling better as the week settles down. Im regretting the crabs I had on Sunday that took me out of ketosis - with ketosis all is easier.
I hope new starters get over the hump quickly - hi wisteria

Im starting step 2 of the cambridge diet proper today. Im a little eek! at 800 cals a day but the morning has been ok. although the maple walnut porridge is beyond foul. Theres one I wont be getting again!

Have a good day everyone

helenahandbag · 16/06/2015 12:37

Hi gals,
I have had a few no loss days so my total is 22lb in 32 days but I have had a few cheats so I'm very pleased with that. My only issue as still no one has noticed! My friend even asked another friend if she had lost weight on Saturday and she hadn't! My only solace is that if no one has noticed the loss they probably didn't notice the gain either. my clothes are feeling better and I can definitely see the difference so that's the main thing.

Well done on the loss twinkle :0)
