Have recently let half a stone creep on (reckon due to the pill) and want to lose it over the next 6 weeks!
No drastic diet plan as such as want to keep it off! Anyone want to join me in my six week journey???Grin

Yeah, eating earlier and cutting down on the carbs & alcohol are all good tips.

What do you mean by a progress tracker, ready? Like a graph or something? I'm 2lb down which does put me on track for my target of getting from 10st 2lb - 9st 10lb in 6 weeks (longer term goal is 9st 3lb but that can wait). The fat % is bizzare though.

I really want to lose the pounds but DON'T want to get obsessive.. Am avoiding MFP etc as I can get a bit fixated on the numbers and want to learn to listen to my body instead.. Arg - it is so hard!

bangersmashandbeans · 25/04/2015 13:28

It is tough to remain focused but not fixated penguin. I have to use MFP as a guide or I just kid myself into thinking I'm eating a 'normal' amount of calories when I'm actually pretty greedy.

Had Greek yoghurt and banana this morning and then ran 10k. Did reward myself with a pastry though Blush

Going to try and be good for the rest of the day but have allowed for two glasses of wine this evening!

DH away sunday-Wednesday so will be much easier to stay on track

readyforsunshine · 25/04/2015 17:18

Hi penguin, sorry I forget about your food issues. I tried mfp & found I got a bit obsessive, except I was always trying to work out how to use the cals in the most interesting ways & found I was eating more than I needed/ wanted & cheating all the time.
Bangers def easier with dh away, can eat what & when fits in.
Have had a treat of brunch out, my fav eggs benedict & a latte. Am working tonight & just had smoothie before I go. Got to have a good day tomorrow before Monday week 2 weigh in.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/04/2015 17:44

I've eaten badly today Blush but at least no snacking.

One slice of toast with butter
Cheese and ham toastie
Roast chicken dinner with two yorkshires and more pigs in blankets than is socially acceptable Blush

Joycey29 · 25/04/2015 18:41

Kids had daddy day so I was alone and consequently ate!! Comfort food!
Breakfast: nutribullet
Lunch cooked breakfast
Supper - quorn stir fry

Snacks- Trek bar, Easter egg, biscuits, more egg and now feel need to have a glass after being suitably happy that they had a lovely day with him and HER!
Did 5km with niece might help?

Wine Joycey that sounds tough. Cooked breakfast is the best lunch, never understood why anyone would want to eat it before midday.

I've had an OK day so far (apart from being at work - grrr), now out for dinner and then on to a "drinks and canapés" house party.. Diet nightmare! Do I eat a small dinner and try the canapés? Or eat a proper dinner and try (then fail) to ignore them?! Bloody hell this is not what I need right now!!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/04/2015 19:14

Joycey that sounds horrible! Well done on the run though.

Hmm I would have a low cal salad then some canapés as I love them Grin

Joycey29 · 25/04/2015 19:35

Spotty s idea of salad and canapés is a good one Grin

Going out for breakfast today. Will skip lunch.

bangersmashandbeans · 26/04/2015 07:10

So annoyed that despite me having cooked a healthy dinner DH ordered pizza! So of course I had to eat some and wreck my good day Confused
Out for breakfast too so will try to have a better day.

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 26/04/2015 09:25

I went with the salad recommendation (thanks!). Canapés were lovely but it all went down hill when they ran out and I found a bowl of pretzels.. Blush then 2 slices of bread & PB when I got home. BlushBlush

Atkins bar, skinny latte
Quinoa salad, soya latte, apple, pear
Thai seafood salad, 1 glass wine
Canapés, LOTS of fizz
Pretzels
2 slices bread & PB

Not nearly enough water - feel terrible today.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/04/2015 12:51

I did pretty well at breakfast I think considering it was all you can eat.

Two pancakes (mini American style)
Choc sauce
2/3 banana
Breakfast muffin
One hash brown
One bite of dh's sausage ShockWinkGrin

Oh and a coffee.

Joycey29 · 26/04/2015 14:57

Just baked birthday cake - licked the bowl and ate two of the extra cakes I made Shock

Been at work all day with a mega hangover but amazingly have managed to be (reasonably) good. Heading home to the sofa now and I know the temptation to graze on anything I can get my hands on will be strong..

Plan:
Healthy dinner
Lots of water
Small supper
Bed!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/04/2015 16:25

We've just had quesadillas (no lunch so early dinner) and are having pancakes later. Could do without but I won't be able to resist!

readyforsunshine · 26/04/2015 16:29

Seems like Sunday's the shit to healthy eating day all round!
Had a glass of fizz & smoked salmon pate on crackers when I got home from work last night. Today has been smoothie & back out the door bright & early, bacon roll ( always gets me) from burger van, disappointing too, cheese & pickle roll from a provided lunch, wasn't even hungry, now having a beer before embarking on roast pork & veg at families request hmm, back to it tomorrow everyone!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/04/2015 17:50

I am so full up. Oink. I feel rubbish for it, much prefer my healthier eating Smile

readyforsunshine · 26/04/2015 18:33

I'm having a glass of chilled white while the pork roasts spotty, don't know what happened to today!

Twinklestar2 · 26/04/2015 18:38

This thread really helps me to stay on track!

Saturday menu:

Yoghurt for breakfast
Lunch was a cheese and ham toastie
No dinner! As visited a friend so had drinks instead Wink
Snacked on kettle chips, apple, latte and a truffle they were giving out at the stationGrin

Joycey29 · 26/04/2015 19:57

Like idea of a Sunday shit day - implies its a one off rather than a relapse!
After my baking (and scoffing) I am heading for a bath and early bed to avoid picking.
Breakfast - porridge
Lunch - smoked mackerel and salad
Dinner -small melanzane from pizza express
Snack- all the cut off bits of cake, popcorn

Here's to tomorrow - another day Wine

OP posts:
bangersmashandbeans · 26/04/2015 20:36

Agree that Sunday's are so hard! I had poached eggs on toast out for breakfast but ruined my good intentions with a hot chocolate topped with cream!
No lunch as breakfast was late and went to pizza express for tea - small glass of wine and leggaro pizza - the one that's under 500 cals - so really proud of myself!
Knew I'd want chocolate tonight so just did the shred dvd so I can scoff with a little less guilt!

Twinklestar2 · 26/04/2015 23:17

Eggs on toast and baked beans for breakfast
2 pittas with ham, cheese, onion, tomato and chilli
Spag Bol for dinner

Weighing tomorrow morning, wish me luck!

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 27/04/2015 07:00

Good luck Twinkle!

Yesterday didn't go badly, all things considered.

Breakfast: 1 slice PB & chocolate chip cake
Lunch: detox miso noodle soup, edemame (lots)
Dinner: prawn salad (with a little bit of pasta & lots of veg), muller light sprinkled w/ muesli
Supper: popcorn & cup of milk
Snacks: 2 crackers, left over vegetables
Lots water, tea, coffee

bangersmashandbeans · 27/04/2015 07:00

Good luck twinkle! I'm refusing to weigh in until my period has completely gone!

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 27/04/2015 07:02

Not sure I'm in a fit state for running yet but will walk part of the way home (4kish) at least.
