Have recently let half a stone creep on (reckon due to the pill) and want to lose it over the next 6 weeks!
No drastic diet plan as such as want to keep it off! Anyone want to join me in my six week journey???Grin

Shredded wheat for breakfast
Bacon medallions, sandwich thin and baked beans for lunch

readyforsunshine · 23/04/2015 06:34

Yesterday was porridge, veg soup, was really hungry late afternoon & we had family coming for dinner so ad to have a stop gap. Had broccoli, cottage cheese & ham! Did the job until pot roast beef, 1 Yorkshire pud & green beans followed by chocolate roulade & cheese. Oh & 3 glasses wine. Nuff said...

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 23/04/2015 11:10

Well yesterday involved a VERY carb heavy but very delicious south Indian meal Blush. Managed to stay off the sugar though which is something I guess.

Breakfast: FF Greek yoghurt, apple, oats
Lunch: mackerel & lentil salad
Dinner: 1 x medu vada, masala dosa, coconut chutney, sambar, v v small glass cobra
Supper: apple
Lots water, tea & coffee

Elfontheedge · 23/04/2015 13:21

Yesterday
Breakfast: muesli and a banana. Didn't feel even slightly full so had a sneaky flapjack bite!
Lunch: bean salad and a low fat yoghurt. 3/4 of a sandwich (we've had an event on at work so thee were lots of sandwiches floating about)
Dinner: broccoli and mushroom carbonara with pancetta (no cream)
A chunk ofchocolate rice crispy cake stuff (my Easter gift from my Chocolatier brother)
Due to one thing and another we didn't have tea until late so I just did my physiology exercises.

Elfontheedge · 23/04/2015 13:49

Oops how many calories in a Magnim?

bangersmashandbeans · 23/04/2015 15:31

Yesterday I did pretty well...
Cheerios (no milk)
Bulgar wheat salad
Chicken and bulgar wheat salad
(Made it for lunch then was lazy and just had it with chicken for dinner!)
Couple of biscuits and a pancake for snacks
No car again so walked 12k again!

Today going well, although just made Jamie Oliver's satay chicken and noodle salad ready for dinner which is a whopping 650 calories Shock
Will just be careful the rest of the day, and have already done 90 mins in the gym so feeling good!
Enjoy the last of the sunshine everyone!

SpottyTeacakes · 23/04/2015 18:47

I've lost weight! Weigh isn't officially until tomorrow but on my non digi scales I've lost about 2lb in two weeks I reckon ??Grin

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 24/04/2015 07:32

Nice one Spotty Smile

I was back at work yesterday, but on a course with bloody stupid start/break/finish times and ended up eating a gazillion mini meals when I wasn't really hungry... Gah!

Oats, apple, FF Greek yoghurt
Small egg & tomato baguette
Lentil & veg soup with bread
Kale crisps
Salmon salad
Lots water, tea & coffee, 1 can diet coke

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 24/04/2015 07:38

Back at work properly today and know I have loads to do urgently plus a gazillion emails.. Also know that I will crave a bag of crisps by my side to help me through!

Plan: stick to mealtimes! Also need to reduce simple carbs as I've been overloading on them for the last few days..

bangersmashandbeans · 24/04/2015 07:46

Well done spotty and good luck sticking to the plan penguin.
I'm due on this weekend so think I'm going to really struggle. Will be so cross if the weight I've lost all goes back on. Although guess we all bloat a bit during time of the month so will just have to stick with it and hope it comes back off!

readyforsunshine · 24/04/2015 09:47

It will bangers, lots of water & do your best to avoid the sugar cravings. I find it helps to not let myself get too hungry so that I don't fall on the sugar, salt & fat at tom!
Well done spotty! Great motivation, is that 1/3 of your way there?
Yesterday was good, smoothie, Mexican brown rice salad bowl, really yum, handful nuts, soup, yog & seeds w a little honey.
Today is banana porridge, not sure about lunch but salmon tonight, need some yummy veg as always feel I deserve a treat on a Friday night & don't want to derail. Have a good day everyone.

readyforsunshine · 24/04/2015 09:48

Bangers , I meant re bloat not that it will all go back on obvs!

SpottyTeacakes · 24/04/2015 14:41

Afraid not ready. I want to get to 8st3 and I'm currently 8st 12!

bangersmashandbeans · 24/04/2015 17:35

Urggghhh today not going to plan! Think I might just write today off and enjoy some wine tonight and do better tomorrow. Running 10k first thing so that should start me off on the right note.

SpottyTeacakes · 24/04/2015 17:43

I haven't done great either bangers. But remember this is a healthy change not a restrictive diet Smile at least today I managed no snacking even though there were brownies, flapjacks and shortbread at work!

Bowl of Cheerios no milk
Bowl of soup and a mars bar (someone at work bought it for me would have been rude not to...)
Lasagne with one slice of garlic bread. No salad as I've eaten so much of it this week I need a break!

Twinklestar2 · 24/04/2015 18:42

Yesterday I ate a Crunchie and a slice of cake but within my ww points.

Menu

Cheese on toast for breakfast

Crumpets, bacon medallions and beans for lunch

Chicken, potato wedges, sweet corn and carrots for dinner, slice of homemade cake

Snacked on a cereal bar, a Crunchie and a sandwich thin

SpottyTeacakes · 24/04/2015 19:30

I want a crunchie now Grin

Joycey29 · 24/04/2015 22:42

Hope day went ok on the end Bangers!
Great loss - but know what you mean about putting it back on due to bloat. Mind you imagine bloat prior to loss....
Lost 1 pound this week - fingers crossed for a good weekend Shock

Twinklestar2 · 24/04/2015 22:49

Scales are showing a 2lb loss Grin Official WI on Monday.

Menu

Eggs on toast
Lunch was a chicken burger at GBK made into a salad, sweet potato fries on the side
Chicken, potato wedges and veg for dinner
Skinny cappuccino, a cereal bar and a bit of cake after dinner to finish it off!

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 25/04/2015 06:31

Yesterday's menu

Breakfast: atkins bar
Lunch: super wholefood salad, beetroot crisps
Dinner: big salad with prawns & pasta, strawberries
Supper: popcorn
Lots water, tea & coffee, 1 frappuchino light
2 margaritas after work (pretty impressed that I managed to stop at 2 tbh!)

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 25/04/2015 06:51

Not super pleased with the weigh in.. I'm still around 10st (10st 0.2lb to be precise) which was expected as I thought most of last week's loss was water. Fat has gone up to 30% though! Wtf?! I guess I haven't done any exercise at all this week (chesty cough is still lingering Sad)

I think I need to up my game this week..

  • cut down on simple carbs (esp bread)
  • reduce fat (oily fish is healthy but I may have been overdoing the smoked salmon!)
  • alcohol only when out, no wine on the sofa (I have actually been pretty good with this lately but could easily slip back)
  • will hopefully start running again by Monday

Any other tips/pointers would be gratefully received!

SpottyTeacakes · 25/04/2015 06:55

Don't worry it might just be a blip and tomorrow you'll weigh less. I don't know what time you eat dinner but I don't eat anything after 6pm. I eat early with the dc. Also have completely cut out snacks apart from Tuesday when I have 9 hours between breakfast and lunch at work.

readyforsunshine · 25/04/2015 07:10

Well done on losses Joyce & twinkle.
Penguin I find it's the carbs & alcohol that slow everything down, bummer though! Impressive running, I really, really need to start exercising instead of just saying I need to start exercising!
Yesterday was a lunch out ( that I nearly forgot about!) chicken w peppers & salad, spurned the yummy bread & potatoes, fruit salad, v proud I avoided the cheesecake, a fav, then snook a teeny piece of apple cake w coffee.
Made a delicious salad of roasted aubergine, peppers & salmon w pine nuts & feta. Had 2 glasses of wine though. Bizarrely, still felt like I needed something so had a cocoa before bed. Fingers dead for a loss on Monday.
How about some kind of progress tracker? I know it helps me. Weekly measurements, weekly loss, total loss, how far to target? What do you think?
