Have recently let half a stone creep on (reckon due to the pill) and want to lose it over the next 6 weeks!
No drastic diet plan as such as want to keep it off! Anyone want to join me in my six week journey???Grin

Yesterday was porridge with nuts, seeds & yog, chicken & sweetcorn soup, piece seeded bread, asparagus w butter, salmon in prosciutto w sweet potato mash, tender stem broc, WINE!! & two cheese & bics. Not too heavy on the 'healthy changes' this past week!

Joycey29 · 13/05/2015 21:53

Healthy changes are slow to take on but I reckon I m getting better!
No mid week wine now I m back exercising properly.
Really thinking about my snacking too!

Well done joycey, was referring to my own healthy choices btw!
Yesterday was porridge w seeds & nuts, pastrami salad open sand which on seeded bread, brown rice, chicken salad bowl. Then 2 digestives, gah!
I think I need to give myself some rules to follow, I'm out of the zone.

lavendersun · 14/05/2015 07:11

I haven't been back here (dropped off my list!), but am still doing this.

Dorset cereals porridge sachet with skimmed milk, berry pot and three bean salad for lunch (healthiest things I could find as was out) and sea bass and vegetables for dinner ... plus a donut which I never eat but they were brought in and very good (lidl - never been there but they were yummy and not greasy). Came in at 1150 cals on mfp inc donut so fairly good.

I am moving more - plan on cycling to Waitrose with my panniers tomorrow which is a 15 mile round trip, I was going to go today but cycling more has made me a bit saddle sore (tmi) and I feel like I need a day off!

MrandMrsW · 14/05/2015 07:47

Didn't have a good day yesterday. The salad I took for lunch was inedible! Not sure why!? So I bought a large cheese baguette and potato wedges from the nearby cafe... Must try harder!

SpottyTeacakes · 14/05/2015 08:08

I'm writing off yesterday. It wasn't too bad but lunch involved French bread and a veg samosa Blush dinner was pasta and cheese and garlic flat bread. Back on it today!

bangersmashandbeans · 14/05/2015 12:01

Yesterday was a bit hit and miss for me too. Yoghurt muesli and banana for breakfast, sausage roll for lunch, thai curry for dinner, two biscuits and a glass of wine. No actual exercise but busy day so Fitbit said 15000 steps

Two hours weight training this morning so day off to a good start

Twinklestar2 · 14/05/2015 13:40

Diet fail yesterday! Back on it today. Started the day with shredded wheat Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 14/05/2015 18:04

Right hopefully I'm done for the day

Bowl of Cheerios no milk
Two coffees

French stick tiger bread about 5" long with a chicken and stuffing slice and salad cream
Two mini peppers stuffed with cream cheese

One coffee

Bolognese made with beef, lentils and lots of veg and cheese (no pasta).

lavendersun · 14/05/2015 18:50

Bad day here too, it started well with bircher muesli and chestnut and mushroom things for lunch from the freezer. Then I got some exam results - failed - and since 4pm I have eaten four truffles and two fudges dark chocolate flapjacks and a panini.

I don't even want to be healthy tonight!

I am going to have a bath and a glass of wine, tomorrow is another day thank god.

I have got so much work to do and so many deadlines in June and now a resit .... hard not to head for the biscuit tin (only I don't have one, just a few rich teas and the flapjacks). I feel a bit sick to be honest so that at least will stop me eating anything else.

SpottyTeacakes · 14/05/2015 19:13

Sorry about your exam lavender

lavendersun · 14/05/2015 19:17

Thanks Spotty - didn't think I had done enough at the time tbh, just a blow to see it in writing!

Some good news though, I feel so sick after the chocolate that I have decided not to have the wine. Vanilla chai tea it is Smile.

Joycey29 · 14/05/2015 22:33

Feel for you lavender - nothing like being down to encourage eating masses! I do it all the time! Shock
But don't beat yourself up - tomorrow's another day!

Sorry about your exam lavender.

Yesterday was ok, though was really hungry after my monster gym session!
Two poached eggs on one toast
Ham cheese and tomato sandwich
Jammy dodger
One slice of pizza (kids tea gets me every time!!)
Homemade smoked mackerel pate in toast
Several low cal hot chocs
Glass of wine Blush

Going for a run this morning but then have a night away with DH tonight so will be eating and drinking copious amounts and will enjoy every morsel!!

lavendersun · 15/05/2015 10:40

Thanks bangers. I feel very demotivated, have got to re-submit 7500 words on Monday and then write another 1500 words by Saturday on something I haven't even looked at as well as do another exam and now a resit in June.

I will not comfort eat ... I will not comfort eat, etc., etc..

Back to my healthy porridge for breakfast. I found something I really like for lunch yesterday (when I am at home as requires cooking), in the freezer section at Waitrose, chestnut and mushroom grills (sort of burger sized things). Really tasty and about 340 cals for both of them, plus a bit of salad, they are on offer, something like two boxes (two in a box) for £3. Really good and cheap too.

I am looking forward to those for lunch to get me through the next two hours of work.

lavendersun · 15/05/2015 10:41

Oh and Jammy Dodgers are my absolute favourite, closely followed by fig rolls, I must not buy some.

bangersmashandbeans · 15/05/2015 13:06

I have to admit...the jammy dodger was on the floor of the car, and had a bite out of it, and I don't even like them! Still ate it though Blush

bangersmashandbeans · 15/05/2015 13:53

Forgot to post Friday weigh in 9.4
Still can't seem to get past it!

lavendersun · 15/05/2015 14:03

I have lost 4lb in about 10 days so it is working.

ClubSmed · 15/05/2015 14:05

Thought this tip may be worth sharing with you all, as one of the biggest dangers to healthy eating (at least for me) is the 'morning after' cravings.
I find if I drink 300ml of water with a rehydration pack (get this from any pharmacy) it replenishes all the nutrients that my body is craving and enables me to resist the pull of greasy food. It is also, for me, the best hangover cure.

lavendersun · 15/05/2015 14:18

I rarely drink ClubSmed so don't need a morning after cure!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/05/2015 14:33

I failed! Someone was leaving at work so I had three mini brownies two mini caramel things and a rocky road bite. Skipping lunch to compensate.

lavendersun · 15/05/2015 14:42

Never mind spotty, we can be failures together, me in the exam stakes and you in the lunch dept Grin.

Just have a light dinner - total calories in = total calories in, even if most of them are cake! Not ideal but one day isn't the end of the world.
